[LVR - WR Adams Has Some Concerns](=) Source: Mirin Fader - The Ringer Mirin Fader, from The Ringer, reports Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams might have some reservations about the team's offense. "I'm going to have to buy into this and try to be as optimistic as possible ... It's not what I expected to happen, but it's something that's the reality now." Adams is quoted as saying. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gone is his college teammate QB Derek Carr, and the Raiders are looking at veteran Jimmy Garoppolo as their starter this year. Adams also said he doesn't see "eye to eye" with the front office as to what the team needs to be right now. If Adams is disgruntled during the season, perhaps the Raiders would look to move him before the trade deadline. It's way too early to tell, but this is how these things begin. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [MIN - Jordan Addison signed]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison agreed to a four-year rookie contract on Wednesday, May 17, per source. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Addison is an impressive player, so it's no surprise when he was selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft. He's tough to get a bead on as a defender because of his quickness and ability to toy with defenders in the open field. Addison can work on the outside or the inside of the formation, and some in the scouting community believe he's got some Tyler Lockett (Seahawks) to his game. He's going to be on the field with superstar WR Justin Jefferson (who will command a lot of attention), so Addison has some flex appeal for Fantasy GMs in the Vikings offense this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ATL - B.J. Baylor placed on IR]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Atlanta Falcons RB B.J. Baylor (undisclosed) was placed on the injured reserve list Tuesday, May 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Undrafted out of Oregon State in 2022, Baylor has spent time with the Packers and the Falcons. He was highly productive for the Beavers in college, and Baylor does have a three-down skill set. In super crazy deep dynasty formats we track guys like Baylor, but he's a long-shot to do much in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [HOU - Texans ink UDFA tight end](=) Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Undrafted free-agent TE Jordan Murray (Hawaii) signed an undisclosed contract with the Houston Texans, according to his agent on Wednesday, May 17. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Murray originally played college football at Missouri State. He transferred to Hawaii last year and caught 10 passes for 70 yards. He finished his Missouri State career with 99 catches for 1,196 yards and 11 touchdowns. With TE Dalton Schultz as the starter, the Texans have a few other options at the position before it gets to Murray. The undrafted rookie is a long-shot who is likely bound for the practice squad if he makes a positive impression. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [PIT - Steelers ink Hakeem Butler]( Source: XFL.com Free-agent WR Hakeem Butler (XFL) signed an undisclosed contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, May 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Butler is a big-bodied wide receiver who could line up at tight end with some additional weight. We were intrigued by him in dynasty formats when the Cardinals made him a fourth-round pick out of Iowa State in the 2019 NFL draft. That was then, and this is now. Since getting drafted, Butler has bounced to four different NFL teams, two CFL teams, and most recently played for the Battlehawks of the XFL. His size makes him a decent red-zone threat, and the Steelers know how to harvest wide receiver talent. Once again, in crazy deep dynasty formats we'll keep an eye on him. [JAX - Sammis Reyes heads to Duval]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com Free-agent TE Sammis Reyes (Bears) signed a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, May 16. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. Additionally, S Deionte Thompson was released. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reyes came to the US from Chile to play basketball, and he's got an athletic profile at 6-feet, 6-inches, and 260 pounds. Back in 2021, Reyes was one of 11 players chosen for the NFL's International Player Pathway Program when the Commanders added him to the 53-man roster. Now with Jacksonville, Reyes is buried on the depth chart at least behind Evan Engram and rookie Brenton Strange. Since Strange is more of an H-back, Reyes has a chance to impress as an "F" tight end who can attack a defense as a receiver. Clearly, in crazy deep dynasty we love this story and Reyes' potential. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [IND - Josh Downs signs rookie deal](=) Source: FOX 59 Indianapolis - Mike Chappell Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs signed a four-year rookie deal worth $5.6 million with a $1.1 million signing bonus Tuesday, May 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Downs has incredible talent as a slot receiver. He's got the ability to make defenders look silly before and after the catch. Because he can make crazy adjustments on the football, Downs will regularly bail out his quarterback on bad throws. As a slot for QB Anthony Richardson, Downs could become a dependable target in 2023 and beyond. From a fantasy perspective, Downs is a WR4/WR5 with deep flex appeal if Richardson can flash that potential that made him a first-round quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [ATL - Falcons release Germain Ifedi]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Atlanta Falcons OT Germain Ifedi was released on Tuesday, May 16. In addition, undrafted free-agent QB Austin Aune (North Texas) was signed to an undisclosed contract. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Aune played in the New York Yankees farm system for six years, so he's 29 years old and trying to make an impression with the Falcons. Last year for the Mean Green, Aune threw for 3,547 yards, 33 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. The odds are stacked against him, as Aune is the fourth quarterback on the Falcons' roster behind Desmond Ridder, Taylor Heinicke, and Logan Woodside. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NO - Jake Haener gets rookie deal done]() Source: NewOrleansSaints.com New Orleans Saints fourth-round draft choice QB Jake Haener (Fresno State) signed a four-year contract on Tuesday, May 16. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Haener is an interesting prospect, but many in the scouting community believe his physical limitations will keep him from being a long-term starter. He's a highly intelligent quarterback with leadership traits. Haener doesn't have a rocket arm, but with anticipation, he can make all the throws required in the NFL. Pass placement is his specialty, and Haener does a good job leading his receivers. Injuries were a problem in college, and that bug could follow him to the pros because he's pretty much maxed out at 6-feet, 1-inches, 200 pounds.
