[PIT - Mason Rudolph to return to PIT]( Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac Free-agent QB Mason Rudolph (Steelers) will meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers Tuesday, May 16, and is expected to re-sign with the Steelers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's rinse-and-repeat time for the Steelers. Rudolph, the Steelers' third-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, has started 10 games but has primarily been a backup in his pro career. He'll return in 2023, and if he makes the final roster it will once again be as the no.3 option behind starting QB Kenny Pickett and primary backup QB Mitchell Trubisky. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [DET - Lions ink UDFA WR]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Undrafted free-agent WR Dylan Drummond (Eastern Michigan) signed an undisclosed contract with the Detroit Lions on Monday, May 15, after a rookie minicamp tryout. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Drummond was one of 10 players who tried out for the Lions at their recent rookie minicamp, and he made enough of an impression to earn a longer look. At Eastern Michigan, Drummond was asked to use his speed as a downfield threat and as a return man. He's likely angling for a spot on the practice squad. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NO - Saints ink two UDFAs]() Source: NewOrleansSaints.com Undrafted free-agents RB Ellis Merriweather (Massachusetts) and DB Adrian Frye (Texas Tech) signed undisclosed contracts with the New Orleans Saints on Monday, May 15, after rookie minicamp tryouts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Merriweather is a two-down banger who can pick up short yardage with efficiency. He does a good job of patiently waiting for blocks to develop, and Merriweather doesn't waste motion as a runner. His lack of receiving ability will hurt his chances of earning a spot, but Merriweather did enough in his rookie minicamp tryout to get a longer look. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [HOU - Tank Dell financials]() Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans third-round draft choice WR Tank Dell (Houston) signed a four-year contract worth $5.718 million - including a $1.158 million signing bonus - on Tuesday, May 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dell is a smaller prospect, but man alive is he a big play waiting to happen. He's got a small catch radius due to his size, but if he's got the ball in his hands he can make defenders look silly. We'll see how the Texans introduce a talent like Dell into their offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NYJ - Jets sign UDFA tight end](=) Source: NewYorkJets.com - Ethan Greenberg Undrafted free-agent TE Izaiah Gathings (Middle Tennessee State) was signed to an undisclosed contract by the New York Jets on Monday, May 15, after a rookie minicamp tryout. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gathings was a wide receiver in college who played at Gardner-Webb before transferring to Middle Tennessee State. Last year, Gathings had 60 receptions for 559 yards and 2 touchdowns in 12 games (11 starts). He checks in around 220 pounds, so he'll need to add more muscle to his frame if he's going to stick at tight end in the pros. Gathings is the type of player we'll monitor, but only in crazy deep dynasty formats. [CLE - Cedric Tillman financials]() Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns third-round draft choice WR Cedric Tillman (Tennessee) signed a four-year contract worth $5.625 million - including a $1.091 million signing bonus - on Tuesday, May 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tillman is a big-bodied wide receiver who can win contested catches. He doesn't win with speed or explosiveness, and Tillman is not the kind of player who can be moved around the formation. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DEN - Tyreik McAllister back with Denver]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams Free-agent RB Tyreik McAllister (Broncos) signed with the Denver Broncos Monday, May 15. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McAllister is a speed back who can outrun angles. He's not a pile-pusher (the Broncos have plenty of those) but can make plays in space. We'll see if he can do enough this offseason to be considered for the practice squad. Rookie UDFA Jaleel McLaughlin (a name Fantasy GMs need to stash away) has better skill as a change-of-pace option for the Broncos behind starters Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [TEN - Tennessee adds six youngsters to roster]( Source: FOX Sports - Ben Arthur Free-agent CB L.J. Davis (Northern Arizona), C James Empey (Brigham Young), CB Eric Garror (Louisiana), WR Gavin Holmes (Baylor), WR Kearis Jackson (Georgia) and CB Armani Marsh (Washington State) signed contracts with the Tennessee Titans on Monday, May 15, following their recently completed rookie minicamp. Terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson is a player we had our eye on as a sleeper before the draft. His best season at Georgia was 2020 when he had 36 receptions for 514 yards and three touchdowns. He's best after the catch, and Jackson has the strength to run through arm tackles. Jackson is explosive, but he does not maintain his speed. He'll need to do a better job of creating separation on underneath routes if he's going to stick in the pros. Crazy deep dynasty GMs, you know what to do. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PHI - Philly adds Charleston Rambo to WR corps]() Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com Free-agent WR Charleston Rambo (XFL) signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, May 16. OT Jarrid Williams was waived to make room for him on the roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rambo was impressive during the week of practice for the East-West Shrine Bowl a couple of years ago. He's a super quick receiver with toughness on underneath routes. We'll see if Rambo can earn a spot on the Eagles' practice squad. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [CHI - Chicago gets three draft picks under contract]( Source: ChicagoBears.com Chicago Bears first-round draft choice OT Darnell Wright (Tennessee) signed a four-year contract that includes a fifth-year team option Monday, May 15. Third-round draft choice DT Zaach Pickens (South Carolina) and fourth-round draft choice WR Tyler Scott (Cincinnati) also signed four-year contracts with the Bears. Financial terms of all three deals were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Scott has a chance to do more than some expect early in his career with the Bears. During his time playing for the Bearcats in college, Scott displayed incredible speed and playmaking ability. Scott is a former track star and a converted running back who has no problem going for tough catches over the middle. He needs to add more strength to his frame as NFL coverage could knock him off his routes. However, he's dangerous with the ball in his hands and could quickly become a favorite target of QB Justin Fields.
