[SF - Brock Purdy should be ready for training camp]() Source: The Athletic - David Lombardi San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (elbow) has a good chance to be ready for training camp as long as he doesn't encounter a setback, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.'As long as Brock's elbow heals right, he'll be the exact same guy... He's doing the same drills all the other quarterbacks are doing, he's just using a towel to throw. But still doing violent motions, still moving, he's just not doing it with a football. ... As long as there's not a setback, we think he'll be there at training camp,' Shanahan said recently. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll know more when August rolls around, but that seems like an accelerated timeline for Purdy. There has been speculation that he could miss time this season, and some are worried he could miss the whole year. That seems a bit too far the other way, but right now nobody can say for certain how healthy and available Purdy will be this season. Trey Lance and Sam Darnold are there to compete for the starting job if/when Purdy has to miss time. If he's ready for camp, then Purdy could just end up starting in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NO - More on Foster Moreau's deal]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints TE Foster Moreau's contract includes a $3.5 million signing bonus and a base salary of $1.1 million. There are two void years to make his 2023 cap charge $1.8 million. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moreau gets to catch passes from QB Derek Carr again, and that previous chemistry should help. We'll see Taysom Hill as the starting tight end, but Moreau can be used close to pay dirt, and that makes him a streaming option in deeper leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ATL - History on Bijan Robinson's side](=) Source: ESPN.com - Matt Bowen Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson was the seventh running back selected in the top 10 of the draft since 2012, and the previous six players averaged 296 touches, 1,510 total yards and 12 touchdowns with all six reaching at least 1,000 total yards and seven scores. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Falcons want Robinson as the primary player on their offense. They can build around him, and Robinson can thrive as both a runner and receiver out of the backfield. As Falcons' head coach Arthur Smith said, Robinson is "more than a running back." The team will use the rookie as the centerpiece of their offense. Fantasy GMs are taking Robinson off the board as a top-10 back, and that number (RB8, 4.08) could climb as the season gets closer. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [TB - Chris Godwin to wear more hats in 2023?]() Source: Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin will likely play a more varied role in the team's offense led by new offensive coordinator Dave Canales, according to wide receivers coach Brad Idzik.'Chris (has shown) early on that he can stretch the field and that's what I want to remind him of. He can stretch the field. ... When you put him outside, this guy is a problem one-on-one. The thing that he brings in the slot, for me, that is a benefit to Chris and those are things that he naturally does. That just opens his window up. We talked about coming from a room in Seattle where with D.K. (Metcalf), we continued to develop his slot work from being an outside receiver. Chris has already shown that, and he already has experience with that, so we can use him in a lot of different ways right off the bat,' Idzik told the team's website. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Buccaneers are going to have a different look with QB Baker Mayfield running the show. It sounds like Godwin is going to be moved around the formation to keep defenses guessing, and we'll see if Mayfield can be adept at hitting the superstar wideout in various spots on the field. Godwin had 104 catches last year, but he only had two 100-yard games and scored just three touchdowns. Moving him around could help amp up those numbers in 2023. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DET - Contract for Antoine Green]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Detroit Lions seventh-round draft choice WR Antoine Green agreed to terms on a four-year contract with the Lions Wednesday, May 10, worth $3.956 million, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Green is a deep-pass specialist who can attack with build-up speed. He's got strong hands, and Green holds his concentration when defenders are draped all over him. Green lacks the route-running ability to get open on shorter routes, so he'll need to sharpen that skill to be seen as more than just a deep threat. We'll keep an eye on Green in deeper dynasty formats. [SEA - Tyler Lockett restructures]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett restructured his contract Thursday, May 11, to convert $8.535 million of his base salary into a signing bonus Thursday, May 11, to create $5.69 million in salary cap space. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The salary cap space will help Seattle sign their rookie class. Lockett is signed through 2025 on his current contract. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [BUF - Contract for Justin Shorter]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Buffalo Bills fifth-round draft choice WR Justin Shorter agreed to terms on a four-year contract with the Bills Wednesday, May 10, worth $4.163 million, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Shorter is a big-bodied wide receiver who can be used to attack a defense down the field. He can win at the catch point, and Shorter does a good job of catching passes away from his body with arms fully extended. His size also helps him after the catch as he's tough to bring down when he builds a head of steam. Shorter is best on "go" routes where he can get his straight-line speed built up. Using him on deep shots and in the red zone because of his size could be the best thing for Shorter. We'll watch him in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NE - Demario Douglas agrees to deal]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson New England Patriots sixth-round draft choice WR Demario Douglas agreed to terms on a four-year contract with the Patriots Wednesday, May 10, worth $3.973 million, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Douglas earned the nickname "7-11" during the week of practice for the East-West Shrine Bowl (where he was coached by the Patriots) because he was always getting open. He's a quick receiver who can work underneath routes with sharp cuts and breaks. Douglas is a smaller receiver, but he can contort his body to make circus catches look routine. He needs to refine his game in terms of proper route-running, but Douglas is a player we're excited about in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DAL - Luke Schoonmaker inks rookie deal]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Dallas Cowboys TE Luke Schoonmaker agreed to a four-year rookie deal Thursday, May 11. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Schoonmaker is a big-bodied "Y" tight end who can be effectively used as a blocker and a receiver. The rookie has a similar skill set to the two guys he's competing against in the tight end room; Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot. We'll see how this shakes out in training camp, but the Cowboys could be using all three in a TEBC this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [LAC - Quentin Johnston adds a new element](=) Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston's explosiveness fits what the team is trying to do on offense this season, according to general manager Tom Telesco. 'He definitely brings a vertical element to us,' offensive coordinator Kellen Moore said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's almost unfair the Chargers were able to draft a playmaker like Johnston. The rookie can fly down the field, and he can make defenders look silly in the open field after the catch. Johnston has a great size/speed combination, and he does a good job of tracking passes over his shoulder. Johnston's game can be categorized as "feast or famine" and that inconsistency could carry over to the early portion of his pro career. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [SEA - Seattle thrilled about landing Kenny McIntosh]( Source: SeattleSports.com - Brandon Gustafson Seattle Seahawks seventh-round draft choice RB Kenny McIntosh could have 'easily' been drafted in the third round, according to head coach Pete Carroll. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We thought McIntosh would've gone off the board sooner than the seventh round, but Seattle was happy to draft him in that spot. He was the second running back they selected in the draft as the Seahawks snared Zach Charbonnet (UCLA) in the second round. Charbonnet will compete with Kenneth Walker for the starting job, while McIntosh will be competing with DeeJay Dallas for a spot behind those two.
