He's an efficient runner who can pick up tough yards - and that's great for the Bills so they can use QB Josh Allen less when it's 3rd-and-1 (and on 4th down too). Murray is also a good receiving option out of the backfield. He'll work into the mix behind RB Damien Harris and RB James Cook in 2023. [CIN - Zac Taylor still in Joe Mixon's corner](=) Source: ESPN.com - Ben Baby Cincinnati Bengals Joe Mixon's legal status may still be up in the air, but head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Saturday, April 29, that Mixon's 'future is here with the team.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bengals lost RB Samaje Perine (Broncos) in free agency, and without an early-round running back added in the draft, it looks like Mixon will stay with the Bengals for the 2023 season. They did add Chase Brown (Illinois) in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft, and he has the potential to be a lead back in the future. For this season, it looks like Mixon's show...but he may need to take a pay cut. He's got a 2023 cap hit of $12.7 million with $5.5 million remaining in dead money. Who said I wanna go? Who said I wanna leave? I'm out here working,' Hopkins said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] After speculation of a Hopkins trade for what seemed like forever, now things are trending toward him staying in the desert. We'll see how he meshes with the new direction the Cardinals are going in with their offense under head coach Jonathan Gannon. [DEN - Jerry Jeudy's option exercised](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy had his fifth-year option exercised Monday, May 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Broncos' GM George Paton did say the selection of second-round pick Marvin Mims Jr was not an indication of their decision on Jeudy's option. He was a lone bright spot in the passing game last year under in-over-his-head coach Nathaniel Hackett. He was able to post career-high numbers in 2022, but that was because the Broncos finally made him a backside "X" receiver. As the primary read, Jeudy was dialed in and produced at the expected level. New head coach Sean Payton says no such designation will be made for any receiver. That's somewhat of a concern as Jeudy seems to check out at times if he's not the no.1 target. Also, the Broncos should be among the run-heaviest teams in the NFL. We like Jeudy in the WR2/flex range. The offense should be better as a whole, but that doesn't necessarily mean a higher upside for Jeudy than what he posted last year. [DEN - Marvin Mims' selection not about Jerry Jeudy](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla Denver Broncos second-round draft choice Marvin Mims was the team's first draft pick in 2022, but his selection was 'absolutely not' a reflection of Denver's pending decision on Jerry Jeudy's fifth-year option on his rookie contract, according to general manager George Paton. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos have a talented room of wide receivers, and now with the addition of Mims, it is even more cramped. Jeudy was great last year when the team had him playing backside "X" but new head coach Sean Payton said they would move around all of their receivers this season. Oh yeah, the Broncos are gonna run the heck out of the ball in 2023. That's not a great outlook for the Broncos passing game, despite their talent at the position - including Jeudy. On Monday, he signs with the Commanders instead. DeMorat is a smart passer, but his accuracy and pass placement needs work. He's athletic and can be a threat to run if the play breaks down. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ruiz has started 40 games for the Saints over the last three years, but he's been a solid-yet-unspectacular player (at best) during that time. A foot injury knocked him out of action for a few games in 2022, so the team decided to decline his fifth-year option for the 2024 season. That means Ruiz is set to hit the open market next offseason. He was slowed by a meniscus injury in 2022, but Chaisson has not developed the pass-rushing skill he showed off in college at LSU. He'll likely hit the open market in 2024.
