[NFL - CB Darrelle Revis training to play](#4) 5. [DET - OLB Tahir Whitehead should start](#5) 6. [BUF - Three Bills CBs options at nickel back](#6) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [DAL - ESPN Reporter Adam Schefter Would Be 'Hesitant' Drafting Ezekiel Elliott](=) Source: Sirius XM - Adam Caplan & John Hansen / Philly Voice - Jimmy Kempski Philly Voice reported an appearance by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sirius XM Radio with Adam Caplan and John Hansen. Schefter was asked about the domestic abuse case allegedly involving Elliott that the NFL has been investigating for almost a year. Schefter said, "I would just say this. It is definitely a factor, and if I were drafting today, I would be hesitant to (draft him). But this is a situation that has gone back and forth so many times. I've spoken to some people within the league who, during the course of the offseason, got a sense that some form of discipline could happen. "And then I spoke to somebody last week and they're like, 'Yeah, I don't think anything is going to happen here.' And then a decision that many people thought would come before the start of the the July 4th weekend on Friday when the NFL usually makes a lot of decisions, hands down some news, I was told that was being pushed back. "Now why is that being pushed back? Was it being pushed back, actually? Maybe it wasn't even. But I was told there wasn't going to be an answer here for a little while, that there was more information. There have been more meetings between either Zeke's people and the league, or the NFLPA and the league, or whoever. It's just been an ongoing issue that has had no conclusion. And so, if you're drafting today, it's hard to say, 'Well, nothing's going to happen there.' "Nothing may well happen there, but something could happen there. We just don't know right now. It's just sort of out there." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Yes, it's a Philadelphia site that loves anything negative regarding the Cowboys. But that's not relevant. What's important is Adam Schefter's take. Schefter is absolutely unbiased and one of the most reputable sources in the league. When he says he's hesitant, one would be wise to listen. We've all seen great players like Le'Veon Bell and Tom Brady miss time and return with great success. But missing games is not insignificant. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. PIT - WR Antonio Brown on hot streak Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports Pittsburgh Steelers WR [Antonio Brown](=) is the third wide receiver in NFL history to amass at least 400 catches, 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns in years four through seven of a professional career. Former WRs Herman Moore and [Marvin Harrison](=) are the other two receivers to accomplish the feat. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] And it's pretty clear Brown is better than ether receiver, so the sky is the limit for him. Even though his yardage was 'down' - for him - last season, he remains one of the most potent receivers in the NFL. With Ben Roethlisberger back to 100 percent, Brown should be back up above 1,500 yards while keeping the double digit touchdown totals we see from him every year. You'll need to pay a premium to get him though as he's going as the first receiver off the board in early drafts and the price won't go down any time soon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NE - RB Mike Gillislee in prominent running role?]() Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots RB [Mike Gillislee](=) is the most likely back to fill the void left by RB [LeGarrette Blount](=)'s departure, in the opinion of beat writer Mike Reiss. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He still has a lot of competition in a backfield which has never been known for consistency in distribution of carries. He is a bit more versatile than Blount was but is two inches shorter and 33 pounds lighter. He isn't quite the aggressive runner Blount is either. That said, he'll get a lot of carries on early downs. That may not be as good a thing as we think it will be. Gillislee had a 5.7 yards per carry in 2016, but that was on 101 runs. Blount carried the ball 299 times. Can Gillislee carry that big a load? Keep that in mind when looking at his current ADP of 79 overall and ranking as 28th back coming off the board. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NFL - CB Darrelle Revis training to play]( Source: BleacherReport.com - Jason Cole Free-agent CB Darrelle Revis (Jets) is training in Florida in anticipation to play in 2017. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The question is, which team is going to sign him and for how much? Revis' best days are clearly behind him, and there has been talk of him moving to safety, but is he willing and what is he asking? He didn't have a huge impact last season and we don't think he will this season either. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DET - OLB Tahir Whitehead should start]( Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Detroit Lions LB Tahir Whitehead will be the starting weakside linebacker this season but could lose snaps to LBs Paul Worrilow and Jalen Reeves-Maybin in certain defensive packages. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Whitehead was a big fantasy factor in IDP leagues while DeAndre Levy was in and out of the lineup (mostly out of), but first-round pick Jarrad Davis should be a three-down linebacker and reduce the value of Whitehead as he moves over to the weak side. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BUF - Three Bills CBs options at nickel back]( Source: The Buffalo News - Vic Carucci Buffalo Bills CBs Kevon Seymour, Shareece Wright and Leonard Johnson are expected to compete for the nickel back job during training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills will also be breaking into a rookie corner (first round pick Tre'Davious White) and Ronald Darby will be their #1, so this is a vulnerable secondary coming into the season. If the front seven can't generate enough pressure to mask the weakness, the Bills will be a pass defense we are targeting throughout the year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Buddy.
