[PHI - QB Jalen Hurts won't be at 100 percent](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Philadelphia Eagles QB [Jalen Hurts](=) (shoulder, chest) will be playing through pain during Super Bowl LVII versus the Kansas City Chiefs because of a sprained sternoclavicular joint, which is a ligament that connects the sternum to the clavicle. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There are no breaks involved and surgery will not be required, with rest during the offseason being the only thing that will allow his injury to completely heal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [BUF - QB Josh Allen on track for full recovery]( Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero Buffalo Bills QB [Josh Allen](=) (elbow) is progressing well from his partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and associated tendon and muscle injuries and is expected to be completely healthy for the start of the 2023 season, according to multiple sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Great news for the Bills here. Allen was not required to undergo surgery and has benefitted from resting over the last few weeks, following a period where he needed to wear a brace for several games after sustaining the initial injury Nov. 6. Now, the Bills need to build more around him so Allen doesn't go into "Wyoming mode" and feel like he has to do everything. We'd love nothing more than for the Bills to get a power back this offseason to do some of the heavy lifting on offense. We shall see if that's their plan. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NYJ - NYJ checks in on QB Aaron Rodgers](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) is receiving trade interest from the New York Jets, and the Jets have contacted the Packers about his availability, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Packers may be open to trading Rodgers, but he has to decide whether or not he's going to continue playing. Rodgers is taking some time off, but a decision about his future is expected before the start of free agency. The Jets hired OC Nathaniel Hackett in hopes of luring Rodgers to their team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [PHI - Vic Fangio helping Philadelphia prepare for Super Bowl](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Vic Fangio, who will serve as the Miami Dolphins' defensive coordinator in 2023, had signed a two-week contract with the Philadelphia Eagles after their victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game to assist coaches and players in preparation for Super Bowl LVII, according to multiple league sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He assisted the offensive staff with their self-scouting process and supplied knowledge of the Chiefs defense, which he faced twice a year as the former head coach of the Denver Broncos from 2019 to 2021. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [SF - QB Jimmy Garoppolo expected to have options](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport San Francisco 49ers impending free-agent QB [Jimmy Garoppolo](=) is expected to receive interest from multiple teams during free agency, according to NFL Network's Mike Gaarafolo. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There is no doubt that Garoppolo can continue starting in this league. The question is; where is he going to land? Some have speculated a reunion with Josh McDaniels (the two worked together with the Patriots years ago) in Las Vegas is possible. The Texans, with all their 49ers connections, are a good possibility as well. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BAL - BAL open to possible QB Lamar Jackson trade?]( Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent QB [Lamar Jackson](=) likely will receive the franchise tag if the two sides are not able to reach a multi-year agreement, but other teams could tempt Baltimore into trading Jackson for a windfall of draft choices, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This speculation has been out there for some time. The Ravens and Jackson may be as much as $100 million off in terms of guaranteed money, so there's no end to this contract situation in sight. They could franchise tag Jackson to give themselves more time (mid-July) to come to an agreement. However, they could tag-and-trade Jackson instead. The Broncos trade for QB Russell Wilson last year has some around the league considering getting a haul for a veteran quarterback and moving on. Perhaps the Ravens will have that mindset. This is one of the biggest stories to monitor this offseason....so stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [HOU - Bobby Slowik to be OC]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero San Francisco 49ers passing game coordinator Bobby Slowik will be joining the Houston Texans as their new offensive coordinator, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Slowik is following new Texans' HC Demeco Ryans from San Francisco to Houston. Both Slowik and Ryans got their start as defensive assistants with the 49ers, but Slowik has been on the offensive side of the ball since 2019. They'll run West Coast concepts, lean on the rushing attack, and set up play-action passing (just like most Shanahan offenses) as they build the Texans' offense in 2023 and beyond. [NYJ - RB Breece Hall making progress]( Source: Newsday - Al Iannazzone New York Jets RB [Breece Hall](=) (knee) said he has starting to do some running and other movements as part of his recovery. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We love what Hall showed as a rookie in 2022, and we're excited to see him get back out there in 2023. The young back believes he could be ready for training camp next summer. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NYJ - TE C.J. Uzomah staying put?]( Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets TE [C.J. Uzomah](=) will be 'hard to cut' this offseason because of his contract structure, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jets are looking to upgrade their offense this offseason, and that could include a trade for QB Aaron Rodgers. Uzomah has talent, but he's overpriced as the Jets' no.2 tight end behind Tyler Conklin. There's $11 million in dead money remaining on his contract, and that's why Cimini calls Uzomah a 'hard cut' this offseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [ARI - WR Rondale Moore talks surgeries]( Source: PHNX Sports - Bo Brack Arizona Cardinals WR [Rondale Moore](=) (groin, finger) said he had both sides of his groin surgically repaired for sports hernia and had his pinky finger repaired. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore is one of the most explosive players in the league. The problem is; he battled injuries throughout college and that bug has followed him to the pros. We still appreciate his talent in dynasty formats, and if healthy there is no doubt Moore is a weapon for the Cardinals' offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [HOU - Multiple coaches will not return]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, offensive line coach George Warhop, tight ends coach Tim Berbenich, assistant defensive line coach Kenyon Jackson, offensive assistant Ted White and linebackers coach Miles Smith will not return to the team next season, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] New Texans' HC Demeco Ryans has a different plan for the offense. Hamilton is a good quarterbacks coach, but his playcalling ability leaves a lot to be desired. Granted, he didn't have much to work with in Houston but some team should hire him (likely as an assistant) as a veteran coach. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NYJ - Gang Green confident in Jeremy Ruckert]( Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini New York Jets TE [Jeremy Ruckert](=) is a player that the team expects to make a 'big leap' in 2023, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ruckert has talent as an all-purpose tight end. He'll compete for the no.2 spot with C.J. Uzomah behind the Jets' no.1 tight end Tyler Conklin. As a rookie in 2022, Ruckert had just one catch for eight yards in nine games....so yeah, a "big leap" needs to be made. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [ARI - Arizona to part ways with WR Robbie Anderson?]() Source: Football Outsiders - Aaron Schatz Arizona Cardinals WR [Robbie Anderson](=) will likely be cut this offseason, according to Aaron Schatz of Football Outsiders. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We could see that happening. The Cardinals are making moves to improve their offense as they go in a new direction after firing HC Kliff Kingsbury. Cutting Anderson would save Arizona $12 million off the cap for 2023 with no dead money. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
