[TB - QB Tom Brady undecided about future]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent QB [Tom Brady](=) said he has not made a decision on his future and will take his time before deciding. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brady is going to take some time away from the game with the Buccaneers bounced from the playoffs a week ago. We imagine he will be playing in 2023, but it's difficult to determine where that would be. It seemed like the 49ers would make a play for him (again), but now with QB Brock Purdy making an improbable run that might not happen. Maybe Brady winds up in Vegas with the Raiders where he can be reunited with Josh McDaniels. Only time will tell. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NE - Bill O'Brien joining Pats staff]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien is expected to be hired as the New England Patriots offensive coordinator Tuesday, Jan. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] At least the Patriots will have a real offensive coordinator this year. In 2022, the Patriots had Joe Judge and Matt Patricia (and they let him call plays) on the offensive side and it showed as neither was a great choice. O'Brien worked with the Patriots before (OC 2009-2011), and his hiring is good news for QB Mac Jones. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DAL - RB Tony Pollard has surgery]( Source: ESPN.com - Todd Archer Dallas Cowboys RB [Tony Pollard](=) (leg, ankle) underwent surgery Tuesday, Jan. 24, to repair a broken left fibula and high-ankle sprain he suffered in the NFC Divisional Round game against the San Francisco 49ers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The surgery has a recovery time of a few months, but Pollard should be ready for the start of training camp in the summer - wherever he lands. There was speculation the Cowboys could franchise tag him before this injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [BUF - Surgery unlikely for QB Josh Allen](=) Source: The Buffalo News - Katherine Fitzgerald Buffalo Bills QB [Josh Allen](=) (elbow) is not expected to undergo offseason surgery on his right elbow and will instead opt to rest, according to comments from general manager Brandon Beane on Tuesday, Jan. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Allen played with an elbow problem for most of the 2022 season. He's a big guy, but Allen takes a lot of punishment and he doesn't shy away from contact as a runner. His elbow injury comes with no long-term concerns which is a great thing. Now, the Bills need to find the right formula for success after falling short in the playoffs each of the last three seasons. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers unlikely to stay in NFC if traded](=) Source: Twitter - Dov Kleiman Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) will almost certainly be traded to an AFC team if the team ends up dealing him this offseason - a possibility the team will 'explore.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's the offseason, so that means it's time to speculate where Rodgers would go if traded. This is the same story we've had for the last two offseasons, but this time the Broncos won't be involved. We'll see if the rumor mill fires up about Rodgers going to a place like the Raiders or the Jets in the AFC. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BUF - OLB Von Miller making good progress]() Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown Buffalo Bills DE Von Miller (knee) is 'doing well' and expected to be available for 'a good portion' of the 2023 season, according to comments from general manager Brandon Beane on Tuesday, Jan. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills' defense missed Miller in a bad way, especially in the postseason. Getting him healthy after another knee injury, and keeping him healthy, will be one of the most important storylines for the Bills as they try to make another run at a Super Bowl in the 2023 season. [ARI - Dan Quinn having second ARI interview]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will fly to meet with the Arizona Cardinals a second time Tuesday, Jan. 24, for their head coaching vacancy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cardinals are going through their second round of interviews, and Quinn has made the cut. It's clear he's bound to get another opportunity as a head coach, but whether that's with a team like the Cardinals or the Broncos we just don't know. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [HOU - Ejiro Evero to interview with HOU again]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero will have a second interview for the Houston Texans' head coaching vacancy Wednesday, Jan. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evero is going to be a head coach in the NFL someday, and that may be this year. We think it might take another cycle before he gets hired, but the Broncos DC was the lone bright spot for Denver in 2022. He's a bright defensive mind who connects with players and Evero is a leader of men. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NYG - QB Davis Webb ready to hang up his cleats?]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter New York Giants QB [Davis Webb](=) recently expressed interest in beginning the transition from player to coach and will consider making the jump to coaching for the right opportunity as soon as this offseason, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We could see Webb turn into the next Kellen Moore (Cowboys OC) as he goes from backup QB to coach in the NFL. A third-round pick out of Cal in the 2017 NFL draft, Webb turned down an opportunity to be the Bills' QB coach in 2022. It sounds like he's more open to making that transition now. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [JAX - TE Evan Engram, team interested in extension]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Jacksonville Jaguars TE [Evan Engram](=) and the team reportedly have a mutual interest in agreeing to a multi-year contract, according to general manager Trent Baalke.'Obviously, we would love to have Evan back. Evan and I visited yesterday, and he went around the building and visited with everybody. I think it's mutual. Now we got to make it happen. That's something that we're going to work on with Evan,' Baalke said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Engram was a great fit with the Jaguars in 2022, so the two sides should try to make something happen long-term. Set to be an unrestricted free agent, Engram will be one of the most attractive tight ends on the market. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [JAX - Coach expects WR Calvin Ridley to be reinstated](=) Source: Jacksonville.com - Demetrius Harvey Jacksonville Jaguars WR Calvin Ridley is eligible to apply for reinstatement Wednesday, Feb. 15, and head coach Doug Pederson said the team strongly believes he will be reinstated. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's a reason why the Jaguars made the savvy move for Ridley. Last November, the Jaguars acquired Ridley from the Falcons for two future conditional draft selections. He'll join a roster of weapons in the wide receivers room, and Ridley gives QB Trevor Lawrence another big-play option to throw to. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [HOU - Giants OC Mike Kafka gets second interview with Houston]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates New York Giants offensive coordinator [Mike Kafka](=) interviewed for a second time with the Houston Texans for their head coaching vacancy Tuesday, Jan. 24, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kafka is a noted quarterback guru, not only because he played in the league at the position but also because of his relationship with Patrick Mahomes (who he used to coach with the Chiefs). He worked great with Mahomes, and then Kafka worked wonders with Giants QB Daniel Jones in 2022. It's no wonder teams are interested in him being a head coach, and Houston may be at the top of the list.
