After two consecutive losses and yet to clinch the top overall seed and first-round playoff bye, it's likely Hurts will return in Week 18. Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that multiple sources expect Hurts to play in Week 18. QB [Lamar Jackson](=) | Left PCL sprain | Day-to-day | Questionable Week 18 Jackson has yet to practice after suffering a sprained PCL in Week 13. It's unclear how close Jackson is to returning. The Ravens, who have already clinched a playoff berth, may use the results of their Sunday night game and Cincinnati's Monday night game to inform their plans with Jackson. If there's no chance Baltimore can earn a home playoff game, expect Jackson to continue to rehab until the playoffs begin. RB [Derrick Henry](=) | Hip injury | Day-to-day | Probable Week 18 The Titans held Henry out of Thursday night's game with a minor hip condition. Tennessee had little to play for on a short week prior to this week's must-win game against Jacksonville for the AFC South division title and a playoff berth. Unless Henry has an unexpected midweek setback, expect 20-25+ touches this week. WR [Deebo Samuel]( | Left high ankle sprain / Left MCL sprain | Day-to-day | Probable Week 18 Kyle Shanahan told reporters Samuel needs "to do more in practice" but "definitely has a chance to play" this week. While the Niners would like to get Samuel into game condition prior to the start of the playoffs, do not expect a full complement of snaps or targets unless Samuel manages a full week of practice. RB [Tony Pollard]( | Quad contusion | Day-to-day | Probable Week 18 Dallas held Pollard out on Thursday night with a bruised thigh. Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy both said Pollard wanted to play but the team chose to be cautious on the short week. Pollard should return to his usual workload in Week 18. QB [Tua Tagovailoa]() | Concussion protocol | Week-to-week | Doubtful Week 18 Tagovailoa reported concussion symptoms early last week and is back in the concussion protocol. Although the Dolphins never formally diagnosed a Week 4 head injury as a concussion, this injury is Tagovailoa's third concussion in 2023. He will not be cleared to return during the regular season. Should the Dolphins earn a playoff berth, there's a chance Miami could clear Tagavailoa in Week 19. --------------------------------------------------------------- More Week 17 injuries to monitor - QB [Nick Foles](=) | Rib injury | Doubtful Week 18 - QB [Teddy Bridgewater]() | Finger injury | Questionable Week 18 - RB [James Conner]( | Shin injury | Questionable Week 18 - RB [Antonio Gibson]() | Left knee sprain / Ankle injury | Questionable Week 18 - RB [Marlon Mack]() | Hamstring strain | Questionable Week 18 - WR [DeAndre Hopkins]( | Knee injury | Questionable Week 18 - WR [Skyy Moore](=) | Hand laceration | Questionable Week 18 More recoveries to monitor - QB [Colt McCoy](=) | Concussion protocol | Doubtful Week 18 - QB [Jimmy Garoppolo]( | Right foot fracture | Out Week 18 | Target Week 19++ - RB [Travis Homer]( | Ankle sprain | 22 - WR [DeVante Parker]() | Concussion protocol | Questionable Week 18 - WR [Ben Skowronek](=) | Calf strain | Questionable Week 18 - TE [Jonnu Smith]() | Concussion protocol | Questionable Week 18 --------------------------------------------------------------- Designated to return from injured reserve | PUP | NFI - WR [Mecole Hardman]() | Abdominal illness | Doubtful Week 18 - TE [Irv Smith]( | High ankle sprain | Questionable Week 18 Eligible to return from injured reserve | PUP | NFI - RB [Clyde Edwards-Helaire]( | High ankle sprain | Doubtful Week 18 | Target Week 18+ - RB [Elijah Mitchell]( | MCL sprain | Doubtful Week 18 | Target return Week 19+ - WR [Cooper Kupp]() | High ankle sprain | Expect 2023 return - WR [Jake Kumerow]( | Ankle injury | Doubtful Week 18 | Target return Week 18+ --------------------------------------------------------------- Footballguys injury coverage will return Saturday morning with analysis and Week 18 expectations for key injured players. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
