[LVR - QB Derek Carr to stay away from the team](=) Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez Updating earlier reports, Las Vegas Raiders QB [Derek Carr](=) will not be with the team for the remainder of the 2022 season. In a mutual decision between the club and player, Carr will not attend practice or be in the building so as to avoid being a distraction. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sure seems like Carr is done with the Raiders, and the Raiders are done with Carr. This is a mutual parting, and it will be interesting to see where Carr winds up in 2023. Expect this offseason to be musical chairs when it comes to guys like Carr, and perhaps others like Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. Reports indicate the Raiders are going to see what they'd get offer in trade for Carr, but he's unlikely to return next season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [PHI - QB Jalen Hurts spotted at practice Thursday](=) Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles QB [Jalen Hurts](=) (shoulder) was spotted throwing at the start of practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Great news for the Eagles, but there are no guarantees Hurts will play in Week 17. They dropped their game last week against the Cowboys so the Eagles will look to rebound at home against the Saints on Sunday. If Hurts plays, Fantasy GMs playing for the championship can consider him as his usual QB1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [TEN - QB Ryan Tannehill placed on IR]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans QB [Ryan Tannehill](=) (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tannehill is eligible to return after four weeks. If the Titans can make a deep postseason run, Tannehill could be back on the field. That seems unlikely given the current state of the team. They need to beat Jacksonville in Week 18 to lock in a playoff spot. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [BAL - Another DNP for QB Lamar Jackson](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens QB [Lamar Jackson](=) (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's not official, but Jackson certainly doesn't look like he's going to play on Sunday night against the Steelers. That means Tyler Huntley will be out there in what could be one of the most physical games of the season. We like Huntley as a low-end QB2 for Fantasy GMs playing in their championship this weekend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - WR Stefon Diggs sits with illness](=) Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills WR [Stefon Diggs](=) (illness) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills play on Monday night against the Bengals in Week 18. That means Thursday is really the team's Wednesday in terms of the practice schedule. That means we're pretty sure Diggs can get over this illness and get out there for Fantasy GMs playing for a championship. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers returns to practice](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) (thumb, knee) was back at practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It would take a lot to knock Rodgers out of action. The Packers are at home for a huge game against the Vikings. They're still in the playoff picture, so Rodgers will be out there battling for his team. Fantasy GMs should consider Rodgers a low-end QB1 in Week 17. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [TEN - RB Derrick Henry on track for Week 18]( Source: NFL.com Tennessee Titans RB [Derrick Henry](=) (hip) is not expected to play in the Week 17 game but should be able to play in Week 18, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] As expected, the Titans are giving Henry some rest in a meaningless Week 17 game against the Cowboys. Everything comes down to the Week 18 contest against the Jaguars. Win, and the Titans are in the postseason as the division winner. Lose, and they stay home for the playoffs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [WAS - RB Antonio Gibson absent Thursday]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim and Courtney Cronin Washington Commanders RB [Antonio Gibson](=) (knee/foot) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gibson may not do much if he's able to play in Week 17. That means rookie RB Brian Robinson is in line to get a huge workload against the Browns. We like Robinson as an RB2 with an upside in Week 17. [CHI - WR Chase Claypool back on field]( Source: ChicagoBears.com Chicago Bears WR [Chase Claypool](=) (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Claypool might be able to get out there in Week 17. If he does play, Claypool is along the lines of a 'what the heck' flex as Fantasy GMs play for the championship over the weekend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DEN - Denver brings Tyler Badie aboard]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Baltimore Ravens RB Tyler Badie was signed off the practice squad by the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A sixth-round pick out of Missouri in the 2022 NFL draft, we've got some love for Badie in super deep dynasty formats. The Broncos are looking to finish out these last two games with interim head coach Jerry Rosburg. Badie could possibly see the field as a change-of-pace runner, and he did have a nose for the end zone in college. Again, super deep dynasty GMs should keep him on the radar. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [ARI - RB James Conner remains sidelined]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Arizona Cardinals RB [James Conner](=) (illness) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Conner should be able to get out there on Friday. Check back on his practice status, and Fantasy GMs can consider him a low-end RB1 in Week 17. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [ATL - Day off for RB Cordarrelle Patterson]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Atlanta Falcons RB [Cordarrelle Patterson](=) (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Patterson rushed eight times for 17 yards in the Falcons' Week 16 loss to the Ravens, adding one catch for 14 additional yards. Rookie RB Tyler Allgeier has been getting most of the work in the Falcons' backfield. That should not change in Week 17, and that makes Patterson a deeper flex play for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [CIN - TE Hayden Hurst logs a full practice]( Source: Bengals.com Cincinnati Bengals TE [Hayden Hurst](=) (calf) practiced in full on Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bengals play on Monday night against the Bills. Hurst practicing fully is a good sign for his availability in Week 17. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [GB - Christian Watson sits out another practice](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers WR [Christian Watson](=) (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watson was knocked out of the Week 16 game against the Dolphins and did not return. Earlier this week, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur described Watson as "day to day." He's not yet practiced this week after a DNP on Wednesday in addition to missing Thursday's practice. That is not a great sign for his availability. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [HOU - WR Brandin Cooks not at practice Thursday]( Source: Houston Chronicle - Jonathan Alexander Houston Texans WR [Brandin Cooks](=) (undisclosed) was not present during the portion of practice open to the media Thursday, Dec. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This might be due to a personal matter as Cooks was not on the injury report. If he's out there against the Jaguars in Week 17, Cooks should be considered a WR3/flex play for Fantasy GMs in championship week.
