Our Dave Kluge has some thoughts on the news from New York. --------------------------------------------------------------- The Jets' team doctor would not clear Mike White for Sunday's game against the Lions, which means New York will return to Zach Wilson as the starter. Unfortunately, this is a knock for every pass-catcher in New York, especially Garrett Wilson. The splits for the rookie receiver with and without Zach Wilson are jarring. With Zach Wilson, Garrett Wilson averaged just 8.3 fantasy points on 5.6 targets per game. With Mike White or Joe Flacco starting, that jumped to 19.3 points on 10.7 targets. With this quarterback change, Garrett Wilson goes from a low-end WR1 to the WR2/WR3 bubble. Elijah Moore goes from being a sneaky streamer to being completely off the fantasy radar. In a cold-weather game, Zonovan Knight should still get plenty of run. But Vegas's line has already started to slide in Detroit's favor, lowering the implied total for the Jets. Because of that, Knight's projection takes a minor ding as well. He currently is our RB21. As for Zach Wilson, he probably shouldn't be started anywhere outside of pure desperation. He currently lands as our QB20 in Week 15 rankings but has a dangerously low floor and a capped ceiling. If you can pivot to Jared Goff, Taylor Heinicke, Tyler Huntley, or Deshaun Watson, we would recommend making that move. --------------------------------------------------------------- Now let's jump to the rest of the News and Notes. [NYJ - QB Zach Wilson to start](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Jets QB [Zach Wilson](=) will start in place of QB [Mike White](=) (ribs) in Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Elijah Moore becomes a desperation play on this news, and Zonovan Knight's ceiling as an RB2 and Garrett Wilson's as a WR3/Flex also come down. The Lions D/ST is hot and they even have some appeal with this change. The Jets play on Thursday next week, so we'll likely see Wilson again vs. Jacksonville, and then the team will reassess in Week 17 based on White's condition and Wilson's play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CIN - WR Tee Higgins logs full practice Friday]() Source: Cleveland.com - Michael Niziolek Cincinnati Bengals WR [Tee Higgins](=) (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and is expected to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Higgins didn't play last week after his hamstring flared up before the game, but it looks like he could be a WR2/WR3/Flex play with upside against Tampa. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [PIT - Kenny Pickett doubtful]() Source: DK Pittsburgh Sports - Chris Halicke Pittsburgh Steelers QB [Kenny Pickett](=) (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and is listed as doubtful on the final injury report for Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team is going to announce the starter on Saturday. It could be Mitchell Trubisky or Mason Rudolph, but the offense is going to be low wattage in either event. 2QB/Superflex league players can tune in tomorrow to find out who is available as a desperation play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [KC - Isiah Pacheco expected to play]( Source: Chiefs.com Kansas City Chiefs RB [Isiah Pacheco](=) (quadriceps, shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for Kansas City here. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [GB - RB Aaron Jones listed as limited](=) Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers RB [Aaron Jones](=) (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a Monday Night game so hopefully we'll get more info on this Saturday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [CAR - Carolina's Week 15 injury report]() Source: Panthers.com Carolina Panthers LB Brandon N. Smith (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and was ruled out on the final Week 15 injury report. WR DJ Moore (ankle) and WR [Laviska Shenault](=) Jr. (shoulder) were limited and are listed as questionable while S Xavier Woods (ankle) practiced in full and is questionable. LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe (shoulder) and LB Cory Littleton (ankle) practiced in full and carry no designations. LB Damien Wilson (personal) did not practice but does not have a designation. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore should play, but he hasn't been consistent enough to deserve a lineup spot when he might not be 100%, especially with the Steelers likely unable to get the Panthers off of their run-first game plan by putting some points on the board. [CIN - Week 15 injury report for Cincinnati](=) Source: Bengals.com Cincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson (wrist), CB Mike Hilton (knee) and TE [Hayden Hurst](=) (calf) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. CB Jalen Davis (thumb) also did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. WR [Trent Taylor](=) (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. WR [Tyler Boyd](=) (finger) and TE [Tee Higgins](=) (hamstring) were upgraded to a full practice Friday, Dec. 16, but are also listed as questionable. OT La'el Collins (rest), DT D.J. Reader (rest), DB Daxton Hill (hamstring), DE Joseph Ossai (shoulder) and QB [Joe Burrow](=) (elbow) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hilton missing this week should help Chris Godwin and the Bucs offense in general with Trey Hendrickson, who met Tom Brady often when he was with the Saints, also sitting. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NYG - NY Giants' injury report for Week 15]( Source: Giants.com New York Giants OG Joshua Ezeudu (neck), CB Adoree' Jackson (knee) and OG Shane Lemieux (toe) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 versus the Washington Commanders. TE [Daniel Bellinger](=) (rib), CB Nick McCloud (illness) and DE Leonard Williams (neck) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and are listed as questionable. WR [Richie James](=) (concussion) and LB Jihad Ward (concussion) were upgraded to a full practice Friday but are also listed as questionable. DT Dexter Lawrence (rest), LB Micah McFadden (neck, ankle) and S Julian Love (rest) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] James could get out of concussion protocol in time to be a desperation play. It looks like Bellinger is on track to play, but he's a riskier play coming in with a rib injury that could be aggravated during the game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PIT - Pittsburgh's injury report for Week 15]() Source: Steelers.com Pittsburgh Steelers QB Myles Jack (groin) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday, Dec. 16, and is listed as doubtful for Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers. QB [Kenny Pickett](=) (concussion) was limited in practice all week and is also listed as doubtful. CB Josh Jackson (ankle) TE [Pat Freiermuth](=) (foot) and WR [Diontae Johnson](=) (hip) were upgraded to a limited practice Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. CB Cameron Sutton (neck), RB [Najee Harris](=) (hip), DT Larry Ogunjobi (toe) and DL Cameron Heyward (rest) practiced in full Friday and also have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Freiermuth is good to go and lived up to his statement that he would play earlier this week. He's worth a start as a low-end TE1 no matter who the quarterback is. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [CIN - WR Tyler Boyd a full participant Friday]() Source: Cleveland.com - Michael Niziolek Cincinnati Bengals WR [Tyler Boyd](=) (finger) was a full participant at practice Friday, Dec. 16, and is expected to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Boyd's return helps Joe Burrow, but he's only a desperation play with Tee Higgins also expected back this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [SEA - WR Tyler Lockett's season could be over](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating previous reports, Seattle Seahawks WR [Tyler Lockett](=) (finger) suffered a spiral crack in his first metacarpal, an injury that will force him out for at least two games and could end his season, per a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's some hope that he could get back on the field for Week 17, but a firm timetable hasn't been set yet. We could learn more in the upcoming hours or days that makes dropping him the right move unless your final is in Week 18. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [DEN - QB Russell Wilson will not play in Week 15](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla Denver Broncos QB [Russell Wilson](=) (concussion) cleared the league's concussion protocol Friday, Dec. 16, but head coach Nathaniel Hackett told reporters that 'we've decided to give him another week.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brett Rypien will get the start. This makes Jerry Jeudy and Greg Dulcich much less trustworthy to plug into lineups this week and adds appeal to the Arizona D/ST.
