It's Playoff Time for tons of leagues, and we're here for it. Today, our Dave Kluge has thoughts on navigating the Patriots RBs. --------------------------------------------------------------- As of Thursday, Rhamondre Stevenson has yet to practice after suffering an ankle injury on Monday night. It will be an uphill battle for him to play on Sunday against the Raiders, and fantasy managers should plan to be without him. However, Damien Harris returned to practice. While Harris managers could be excited about this development, it might cause havoc for the rest of the backfield. If Damien Harris cannot play, it's somewhat easy to project how touches will be split among the rookies. Pierre Strong is an excellent pass-catcher and should slot right into Rhamondre Stevenson's role. Kevin Harris, a big-bodied bruiser, will take the early-down and goal-line role previously held by Damien Harris. But if Damien Harris is active, things get muddied. Will he be limited? Does he re-aggravate his thigh injury? Does he absorb some of the pass-catching duties? There is plenty of uncertainty regarding his health and workload, making him a risky play. Two's company, and three's a crowd. If Damien Harris is active, he likely sees the bulk of the workload but cannot be fully trusted due to health concerns. He can be played as an RB2 or flex but has a dangerously low floor. Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong both fall into the streamer discussion if Damien Harris cannot play. Strong would be the preferred back in PPR formats, while Harris gets the edge in standard-scoring leagues. With a late kickoff on Sunday, keep a close eye on Damien Harris's availability in Friday's practice. If he logs a full practice, we feel better about him getting the start in Week 15. But if he does start, all three Patriot RBs become difficult to count on. --------------------------------------------------------------- We'll be watching. Now let's get to the News and Notes. PS. [BAL - QB Lamar Jackson a no-go for Week 15](=) Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec Baltimore Ravens QB [Lamar Jackson](=) (knee) was ruled out for Week 15 versus the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. Tyler Huntley is going to get the start for the Ravens as they play against the Browns in Week 15. There's a chance Jackson returns in Week 16, but we'll have to see how much he can practice (if at all) next week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [HOU - Dameon Pierce idle]() Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans RB [Dameon Pierce](=) (ankle) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 15, and likely out for Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Texans will likely lean on guys like RB Rex Burkhead and RB Dare Ogunbowale in Week 15 against the Chiefs. The game should get out of hand early, so any production these two bring to the field will likely be as receiving backs. We see both as deep flex or 'what the heck' flex options on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [CHI - QB Justin Fields returns to practice]( Source: ChicagoBears.com Chicago Bears QB [Justin Fields](=) (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] One day, Fields versus Eagles QB Jalen Hurts could be a great duel. Today, Fields is doing his best to develop on a team devoid of receiving weapons. We like him as a low-end QB1 in Week 15. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [ARI - QB Colt McCoy limited again]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Arizona Cardinals QB [Colt McCoy](=) (neck) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy is going to be out there as the starter against the Broncos on Sunday. Neck injuries are always tricky to deal with, and the Broncos should pressure McCoy early and often. We're not recommending McCoy for Fantasy GMs, even as a streaming option in Week 15. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CIN - TE Hayden Hurst does not practice](=) Source: Bengals.com Cincinnati Bengals TE [Hayden Hurst](=) (calf) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things aren't trending in the right direction for Hurst. He's likely to miss another game, this time on the road against the Buccaneers in Week 15. Mitchell Wilcox should get another start, but he lacks fantasy value given his almost non-existent role in the Bengals' offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [ARI - WR Marquise Brown sits with illness]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Arizona Cardinals WR [Marquise Brown](=) (illness) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown was used more in the slot last week with WR Rondale Moore out of action. We'll see if he can go against the Broncos on Sunday, but have other options at the ready just in case. Brown, like other Cardinals' weapons on offense, gets a slight downgrade with QB Colt McCoy starting. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CLE - WR Amari Cooper not on injury report]( Source: ClevelandBrowns.com Cleveland Browns WR [Amari Cooper](=) (hip) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 15, but is not on the injury report for Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooper is going to play against the Ravens on Sunday. He'll be a favorite target of QB Deshaun Watson, and we like Cooper in the WR20-25 range in Week 15. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [JAX - QB Trevor Lawrence upgraded to limited]( Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars QB [Trevor Lawrence](=) (toe) was limited in practice on Thursday, Dec. 15, after not practicing the day before. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lawrence should be good to go against the Cowboys in Week 15. The Jaguars are doing a good job of managing the injury, thus the DNP on Wednesday and the limited session on Thursday. [CAR - DJ Moore takes part in practice]() Source: Panthers.com Carolina Panthers WR DJ Moore (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] QB Sam Darnold will have his top target in Week 15. We like Moore as a deep flex play against the Steelers on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [BAL - QB Tyler Huntley cleared to play](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens QB [Tyler Huntley](=) (concussion) was cleared from the league's concussion protocol Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Huntley will be the Ravens' starter against the Browns in Week 15. His rushing ability always gives him QB1 upside. In Week 15, we like him as a QB2/streamer/2QB option, which means some of you out there will be starting him in week one of the fantasy playoffs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [CLE - WR Amari Cooper expected to play](=) Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak Cleveland Browns WR [Amari Cooper](=) (hip) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 15, and is expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15. He does not carry a designation on the final injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooper is going to be out there as a favorite target for QB Deshaun Watson. We like him in the WR20-25 range this week against the Ravens. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [HOU - WR Nico Collins likely out again]() Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans WR [Nico Collins](=) (foot) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 15, and unlikely to play in Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Collins has flashed a bit this year, so we have a lot of love for him in dynasty formats. A third-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Collins should keep improving so long as the injury bug doesn't keep biting him. If the Texans could get a better quarterback, that would greatly help Collins' stock. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [HOU - WR Brandin Cooks back at practice]() Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans WR [Brandin Cooks](=) (calf) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things are trending up for Cooks with practice on Thursday. The Texans are likely to get blown out of the water by the Chiefs on Sunday. They'll have to play 'catch up' football, and that could slightly boost the numbers for Cooks. We can only recommend Cooks as a super deep flex play in Week 15. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [PHI - TE Dallas Goedert close to returning]() Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia - Dave Zangaro Philadelphia Eagles TE [Dallas Goedert](=) (shoulder) admits that his ability to play in Week 15 against the Chicago Bears is 'still up in the air,' but that 'things are trending in the right direction.'' "That's still up in the air but things are trending in the right direction. (I have to) go out and practice and see what it feels like at full speed blocking bigger people than just the trainers. If I was playing (the trainers), I could play for sure. But some of these guys are a little bit bigger, a little more force coming at you,' Goedert told reporters before practice Wednesday, Dec. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Eagles could make a run at a Super Bowl this year. There's no need to rush Goedert back into action until he's fully ready to go. That means they'll proceed with caution, and that means Fantasy GMs may have to wait a bit longer to get him back in their fantasy lineups. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [BAL - WR Demarcus Robinson expected to play]() Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens WR [Demarcus Robinson](=) (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson is expected to play, but Fantasy GMs will likely have better options. The Ravens are going to have QB Tyler Huntley under center, so that means their passing game could be quite limited against the Browns in Week 15.
