[Footballguys Email Updates](=) [Go PRO]( | [View Online](=) [Unsubscribe]( | [Sign Up]() [Footballguys.com](=)Daily Email Update • Vol. 24, #235 • Nov. 30th[,](=) 2022 --------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks To Our Sponsor, [Solo 401k]() Howdy {NAME}, Welcome In and Buckle Up. Our Dave Kluge has some injury notes. The Jets, Steelers, Raiders, 49ers, Buccaneers, and Dolphins all have some headache-inducing injuries heading into Week 13. As always, we'll try to help give you an edge. --------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Carter picked up a low-ankle sprain in Sunday's win. Najee Harris is dealing with an abdomen injury. His backup, Jaylen Warren, has concerns about his hamstring. Josh Jacobs sprained his calf on his game-winning touchdown. Elijah Mitchell is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, while Christian McCaffrey is nursing some knee tenderness. Leonard Fournette missed last week and is not guaranteed to return in Week 13. Jeff Wilson Jr. left Sunday's game with cramps. Although he was able to come back in, Raheem Mostert missed with a knee injury that could keep him out another week. As always, there's value in stashing backups if available. Especially running backs. This time of year, the wear and tear of an NFL season starts to take its toll on all players, especially running backs. In years past, we've seen backup running backs thrust into significant roles that provided plenty of fantasy points down the stretch. If either Rachaad White or Jaylen Warren is available in your leagues, they should be priority pickups. The next tier consists of Zonovan Knight, Ty Johnson, and Zamir White. If you're desperate for running backs, look at Tyrion Davis-Price, Jordan Mason, Benny Snell, or Myles Gaskin. It's also wise to proactively target any other backs who are an injury away from an opportunity. Alexander Mattison, Jerick McKinnon, Keaontay Ingram, Deon Jackson, Kyren Williams, and more could be available! Better to pick them up now and stash them than to get into a bidding war after the lead back is injured. As you prepare for a playoff push, these running backs are much more beneficial than carrying depth at other positions. There's usually no reason to maintain a QB backup in single-quarterback leagues unless you have two top-tier options. Stream your tight ends off the waiver wire, not your bench. And outside of one or two depth pieces, there's no reason to go into the playoffs with a deep slew of wide receivers. Get out there and make some moves. --------------------------------------------------------------- Last thing, please check out our newest Footballguys Sponsor, [Solo 401k](). [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rhamondre Stevenson is going to get the bulk of the workload on Thursday night against the Bills. Due to his workload, Stevenson should produce like an RB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in Week 13. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers not practicing Wednesday but should play]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) (thumb/rib) will not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rodgers is expected to play in the Week 13 game, head coach Matt LaFleur said on Wednesday, Nov. 30. He's going to tough it out, and Rodgers has a plus matchup against the Bears on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BUF - QB Josh Allen good to go](=) Source: Buffalo Bills PR Buffalo Bills QB [Josh Allen](=) (elbow) practiced in full once again on Wednesday, Nov. 30, and carries no designation into Week 13. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Allen will be out there against the Patriots on Thursday night. He's a QB1 for Fantasy GMs even though his elbow injury means his pass placement is not what it was pre-injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CIN - Ja'Marr Chase a limited participant](=) Source: NFLCommunications.com Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chase was planning on being back in Week 12. The Bengals decided to give him another week of rest with the plan he could play against the Chiefs in Week 13. Let's see what he can do in Friday's practice. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [PIT - RB Najee Harris escaped major injury](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Pittsburgh Steelers RB [Najee Harris](=) (abdominal) didn't suffer a major injury in Week 12, but his Week 13 status is up in the air. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Steelers fans and Fantasy GMs can breathe a sigh of relief here. Harris will be re-evaluated as the week goes on. Watch the practice status of Jaylen Warren (hamstring) as well. Warren would be the RB1 for the Steelers if Harris can't play. If both Warren and Harris miss time, Benny Snell would get most of the backfield touches against the Falcons in Week 13. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [ATL - TE Kyle Pitts officially out for season]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Atlanta Falcons TE [Kyle Pitts](=) (knee) had knee surgery on Tuesday, Nov. 29, and will miss the rest of the 2022 season, head coach Arthur Smith said on Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a disappointing end for the tight end's sophomore season. In his second pro season, Pitts continued to flash his elite playmaking skills from time to time. The Falcons' offense isn't great when it comes to passing the ball, but Pitts did post 28 catches for 356 yards and two touchdowns. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [MIN - TE T.J. Hockenson taking off with Minnesota](=) Source: ProFootballReference.com Minnesota Vikings TE [T.J. Hockenson](=) is tied with Kansas City Chiefs TE [Travis Kelce](=) for the most catches by a tight end (26) since he was traded from the Detroit Lions on Nov. 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hockenson has been exactly the type of tight end the Vikings needed. The former first-round pick of the Lions was traded before the deadline earlier this year, and he's flourished with his new team. Hockenson is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs in a year where finding a consistent starter at tight end has been difficult if you don't have guys like Travis Kelce or Mark Andrews at the positon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [WAS - RB Antonio Gibson limited]() Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone Washington Commanders RB [Antonio Gibson](=) (foot) was limited in practice on Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gibson's foot injury will keep him limited this week, but hopefully, he can practice fully on Friday. In Week 13 against the Giants, Gibson is a flex option for Fantasy GMs in PPR formats if healthy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [WAS - Washington takes a look at two RBs]( Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala Free-agent RBs Reggie Bonnafon and [Jordan Howard](=) worked out for the Washington Commanders on Tuesday, Nov. 29. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Commanders are just updating their emergency list here. They have rookie RB Brian Robinson as their lead back, and veteran RB Antonio Gibson is a fine reserve player who gets some touches as a runner or receiver. Gibson (foot) has been limited in practice this week, but he is on track to play in Week 13. [PIT - Jaylen Warren limited Wednesday]() Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers RB [Jaylen Warren](=) (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Benny Snell might be in line for more work this weekend. Let's see if Warren can get out there by Friday. If Najee Harris (oblique) can't play and Warren can, then Warren will be the lead back for the Steelers. If neither can, then Snell will be the lead back. If Harris can play, then he's obviously the lead back. As you can see, Friday is the big day to determine which of the Steelers' running backs to play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NYJ - No practice for RB Michael Carter](=) Source: NFLCommunications.com New York Jets RB [Michael Carter](=) (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Let's see how this looks on Thursday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [JAX - WR Zay Jones a limited participant]( Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars WR [Zay Jones](=) (chest) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones has been a solid contributor for the Jaguars this season, and that increases his fantasy value. You might have plucked him from the waiver wire this week, so consider Jones as a WR3/flex option in Week 13 against the Lions. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [BAL - RB J.K. Dobbins returns to practice]() Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens RB [J.K. Dobbins](=) (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, Nov. 30, and he took part in practice. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dobbins could return this week for the Ravens. We'll see what he can do during practice, but the team might want to ease him into action against the Broncos on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [JAX - RB Travis Etienne listed as limited]( Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars RB [Travis Etienne](=) (foot) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jaguars dodged a more serious injury with Etienne. He's going to be listed as limited most of the week, so watch to see if he can be a full participant on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [KC - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster not practicing]( Source: Chiefs.com - Matt McMullen Kansas City Chiefs WR [JuJu Smith-Schuster](=) (illness) will not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 30, head coach Andy Reid said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith-Schuster has time to get healthy. The Chiefs travel to face the Bengals in Week 13 in what could be a playoff preview - perhaps even the AFC Championship preview. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [TEN - QB Ryan Tannehill takes part in practice]() Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans QB [Ryan Tannehill](=) (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a big game for the Titans as they travel to play the Eagles on Sunday. Tannehill is going to hand off to RB Derrick Henry as much as possible. However, the Titans may have to open things up through the air more than usual in Week 13. We like Tannehill has a low-end QB2 for Fantasy GMs...which means most of you aren't going to start him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [DAL - WR James Washington returning to practice](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Dallas Cowboys WR James Washington (foot) was designated to return Wednesday, Nov. 30. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Washington's 21-day practice window has been opened. The veteran has been on Injured Reserve since late August. When healthy, Washington could work up the depth chart to be the Cowboys' no.3 receiver behind CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [KC - WR Kadarius Toney not practicing Wednesday]( Source: Chiefs.com - Matt McMullen Kansas City Chiefs WR [Kadarius Toney](=) (hamstring) will not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 30, but is progressing, head coach Andy Reid said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Toney is considered day-to-day with another hamstring injury. We'll know more about his status in Week 13 on Friday. If Toney can play, a big if, Fantasy GMs should see him as a deep flex option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
