Apologies for the stutter-step on the subject line last night. Here's what we have for you. Over the last few seasons, we've seen Ja'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown, and DK Metcalf make immediate impacts on their respective teams as rookies. While Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, and others have shown flashes this year, Detroit's Jameson Williams arguably has this class's highest ceiling. Williams tore his ACL in his final year at Alabama. Despite that injury, the Lions traded up to select him 12th overall. Williams is known for his long speed, but is a deceivingly well-rounded receiver. He logged his first practice of the year on Monday. With a Thursday game in Detroit this week, it's unlikely he will be cleared to play this week. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't make a move for him if you can. If you're fortunate to have him on the waiver wire (He's rostered in 42% of Sleeper Leagues) make your move now. The speedy rookie has all the tools to be the Lions' WR1 and should be a guy you target. And please make sure to check out our Footballguys sponsor below, [ButcherBox](=). [CAR - QB Sam Darnold to get Week 12 nod]() Source: Panthers.com - Darin Gantt Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold was named as the team's starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Denver Broncos on Tuesday, Nov. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This was in the works as Baker Mayfield continued to struggle as the Panthers' starter. Darnold is facing a Broncos defense that can get after the quarterback. This is good news for WR D.J. Moore, who the team insists will get the ball to him more. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [LAR - RB Darrell Henderson sent packing]() Source: The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue Los Angeles Rams RB [Darrell Henderson](=) was waived Tuesday, Nov. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Rams will go forward with Cam Akers and rookie RB Kyren Williams in their backfield. Henderson began the 2022 season as the Rams' starter, but over the last couple of weeks, he seems to have been phased out. Now, Henderson will try to find a new home and should have some interest if he clears waivers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [PIT - Jaylen Warren likely 50-50 for Week 12]( Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac Pittsburgh Steelers RB [Jaylen Warren](=) (hamstring) is not dealing with a significant hamstring injury, but his availability against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12 is 'questionable' as of Tuesday, Nov. 22, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Steelers have been talking about using Warren more for some time now. He has seen more work as a receiving back, and we'll see if this hamstring injury keeps him out of action in Week 12. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [ARI - WR Greg Dortch undergoing MRI]( Source: Arizona Sports 98.7 FM - Tyler Drake Arizona Cardinals WR [Greg Dortch](=) (thumb) suffered a thumb injury in Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers and is undergoing an MRI to determine the extent of the damage Tuesday, Nov. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dortch just had a breakout game when Rondale Moore went out with an injury on Monday. He caught 9-of-10 targets for 103 yards in the Cardinals' Week 11 loss to the 49ers. We'll know more about his status when MRI results are revealed. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - WR Jerry Jeudy sits out Tuesday](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos WR [Jerry Jeudy](=) (ankle) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Nov. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jeudy was injured on the first play against the Titans a couple of weeks ago. He had to miss all but one play in that game, and then he missed the game against the Raiders on Sunday. Missing practice on Tuesday is not a great sign for his availability in Week 12 against the Panthers. We'll see what Jeudy can do on Friday. [NYG - Daniel Bellinger making progress]() Source: The Athletic - Dan Duggan New York Giants TE [Daniel Bellinger](=) (eye) told reporters that he is hopeful to return to game action in Week 13 but acknowledged that he will have to see how practices go before that is a real possibility, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Getting Bellinger back would be a boost for the Giants' offense as the rookie did flash before the painful injury. Bellinger, who noted that his double vision is nearly gone and his face is healing well, told Duggan he has been catching passes recently and adjusting to the new visor that he is wearing on his facemask. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [LAC - RB Joshua Kelley expected to practice]( Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper Los Angeles Chargers RB [Joshua Kelley](=) (knee) is expected to return to practice this week, head coach Brandon Staley said Monday, Nov. 21. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The tailback is eligible to return from the reserve/injured list. Kelley sprained his MCL in Week 6 and has been recovering since then. When healthy, Kelley will compete with guys like Isaiah Spiller and Sony Michel to work as a backup behind starter Austin Ekeler. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DEN - RB Marlon Mack could be primary backup](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Denver Broncos RB Marlon Mack could be the primary backup to RB [Latavius Murray](=) in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers after the team dumped RB [Melvin Gordon](=), while expecting RB [Chase Edmonds](=) to miss time due to injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Edmonds is out of action for (likely) a few weeks with a high-ankle sprain. That means Murray will be backed up by Mack, and that's a good option for the Broncos. Expect them to activate Devine Ozigbo off the practice squad as well. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CAR - Team will try to get DJ Moore the ball more]() Source: ESPN - Anish Shroff Carolina Panthers WR DJ Moore will be targeted more in the offense, as interim head coach Steve Wilks said Monday, Nov. 21 that the coaching staff needs to find more creative ways to get Moore the ball. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is something to note, we'll see if it actually comes to fruition. The Panthers have not announced their starting quarterback yet, and Moore will be going up against Pro Bowl-caliber CB Patrick Surtain (Broncos) in Week 12. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NYG - NYG plucks TE Nick Vannett from New Orleans]( Source: The Record - Art Stapleton New Orleans Saints TE [Nick Vannett](=) was signed off the practice squad by the New York Giants on Tuesday, Nov. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Giants are without rookie TE Daniel Bellinger (eye), so Vannett gives them another body in the tight end room. Vannett is a decent receiver, but he's mainly been tasked with being a blocking tight end in several stops around the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
