It's another awesome slate of games this week as we start shaping up for the Fantasy Playoffs. Here's some actionable news for you. The Panthers ruled out running back Chuba Hubbard for Sunday's game. That means you should have no concerns about firing up D'Onta Foreman in your fantasy lineups against the Bengals. For you old guys who are boxing fans, given the Panthers play at Cincinnati, there has to be a Foreman "Rumble In the Jungle" reference in there. Here's the scoop from our Dave Kluge: Chuba Hubbard will miss Week 9, so you should have no concerns about firing up D'Onta Foreman in your fantasy lineups against the Bengals. Foreman was a highly-touted third-round pick in 2017. An Achilles injury set him back for a few years, but we have a strong enough sample now to look at Foreman as a high-end running back talent. Dating back to last season, Foreman has seen double-digit carries in eight games. He's averaging 108.3 scrimmage yards and 15.8 fantasy points per game in those outings. While it's unlikely that Foreman will repeat his three-touchdown performance from Week 8, Foreman's volume and efficiency push him into the high-end RB2 range with news that Hubbard will not play. Plus, we've got the News and Notes you need as always. Let's Go. [CAR - RB Chuba Hubbard ruled out]() Source: Panthers.com Carolina Panthers RB [Chuba Hubbard](=) (ankle) was ruled out Friday, Nov. 4, ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This gives RB D'Onta Foreman the green light. This pushes him into low-end RB2 territory for this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [IND - RB Jonathan Taylor ruled out for Week 9]( Source: ESPN.com - Stephen Holder Indianapolis Colts RB [Jonathan Taylor](=) (ankle) will not play in Week 9, according to head coach Frank Reich. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Taylor didn't appear to be particularly close to playing this week. Deon Jackson becomes a solid RB2/Flex play with this news. Jackson moved clearly ahead of Phillip Lindsay the last time Taylor was out and Zack Moss has been with the team for less than a week. Sam Ehlinger isn't going to target Jackson as much as Matt Ryan did, but Jackson should still get a lot of touches against the Patriots. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BAL - TE Mark Andrews a no-go again Friday](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens TE [Mark Andrews](=) (shoulder, knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 4. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It will be a surprise if Andrews plays in Week 9 with a bye around the corner in Week 10 and rookie Isaiah Likely performing well in his absence last week. Likely's outlook vs. the Saints is strong enough to consider him at flex if you also have Travis Kelce. Andrews is no sure thing to be back in Week 11. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LAC - LA Chargers' injury report for Week 9]() Source: Chargers.com Los Angeles Chargers WR [Keenan Allen](=) (hamstring), PK Dustin Hopkins (hamstring), LB Chris Rumph II (knee) and WR [Mike Williams](=) (ankle) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Atlanta Falcons. TE [Donald Parham](=) (hamstring) did not practice for a second straight day on Friday, Nov. 4, while DT Jerry Tillery (back) was upgraded to a limited practice; both players have also been ruled out. LB Amen Ogbongbemiga (groin) and WR [DeAndre Carter](=) (illness) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. WR Joshua Palmer (concussion), RB [Austin Ekeler](=) (abdomen) and OT Brenden Jaimes (quad) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Allen is probably still at least two weeks away from playing and the team will be especially cautious with him as he can't seem to shake this hamstring injury. Josh Palmer and Gerald Everett will be the top two downfield targets and you can pencil in at least 6-7 catches for Austin Ekeler against the Falcons. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott expected back Week 10](=) Source: USA TODAY Sports - Jori Epstein Dallas Cowboys RB [Ezekiel Elliott](=) (knee) is expected to return in Week 10 following the bye, according to Jerry Jones. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tony Pollard won't take over as a true lead back, and that's probably best for his longevity and this offense as a whole. Both Elliott and Pollard qualify as RB2 plays going forward now that Dak Prescott has brought life back to the offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [ATL - Cordarelle Patterson decision coming Saturday](=) Source: AtlantaFalcons - Tori McElhaney Atlanta Falcons RB [Cordarrelle Patterson](=) (knee) has a chance to be activated Saturday, Nov. 5, ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. He was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured this week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If Patterson is activated, you have to plug him in against the always-vulnerable Chargers run defense. If Patterson is inactive, both Tyler Allgeier and Caleb Huntley become flex worthy or even your RB2 if your roster is in a pinch with six teams on bye. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [WAS - DE Chase Young not quite ready]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Washington Commanders DE Chase Young (knee) had a 'good week of work,' according to head coach Ron Rivera, but the team will not activate him from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list in time to play in Week 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Next week the Commanders face the division-leading Eagles, so that's a perfect time for Young to get back on the field. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DET - TE Brock Wright questionable]() Source: DetroitLions.com Detroit Lions TE [Brock Wright](=) (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 4, but is listed as questionable for Week 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wright is worth a streaming tight end start this week, although rookie James Mitchell will also get a boost in playing time and he has more dynasty appeal if you can only roster one and don't need a play this week at tight end from this roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [BUF - Buffalo's Week 9 injury report]( Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills S Jordan Poyer (elbow) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the New York Jets. OT [Spencer Brown](=) (ankle) and LB Matt Milano (oblique) were limited in practice Friday, Nov. 4, and are listed as questionable. LB Tremaine Edmunds (heel), RB Taiwan Jones (knee), CB Cam Lewis (forearm), LB Von Miller (rest, ankle) and C Mitch Morse (elbow) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. DE DaQuan Jones (rest) and OG Rodger Saffold (rest) were not given a practice designation Friday but are expected to play. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills will have backup safeties in both spots for the matchup against the Jets. Too bad Zach Wilson doesn't seem to have the game yet to take advantage. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [CAR - Carolina's Week 9 injury report]() Source: Panthers.com Carolina Panthers S Juston Burris (concussion), RB [Chuba Hubbard](=) (ankle), and WR Rashard Higgins (illness) were ruled out on the final Week 9 injury report Friday, Nov. 4. TE [Stephen Sullivan](=) (illness) is listed as doubtful. DE Amare Barno (knee) and CB Donte Jackson (ankle) are listed as questionable. CB Jaycee Horn (ankle), LB Frankie Luvu (shoulder), and S Sam Franklin (illness) were taken off the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] D'Onta Foreman should get the vast majority of the workload again this week with Hubbard sitting. The Bengals defense is probably weary after facing Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt on Monday night. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [GB - Green Bay's Week 9 injury report](=) Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) and CB Shemar Jean-Charles (ankle) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Detroit Lions. OT David Bakhtiari (knee), OG Elgton Jenkins (knee, foot), WR [Allen Lazard](=) (shoulder), LB Preston Smith (shoulder, neck) and WR [Christian Watson](=) (concussion) were limited in practice Friday, Nov. 4, and are listed as questionable. QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) (thumb) was also limited in practice Friday but has been removed from the injury report. TE [Marcedes Lewis](=) (rest) practiced in full Friday and no longer appears on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lazard and Watson will come down to the wire. Romeo Doubs should be a good play this week against the poor Lions pass defense. Bakhtiari and Jenkins being unable to get back to 100% this year is part of the reason the offense is underperforming. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [WAS - Week 9 injury report for Washington](=) Source: Commanders.com Washington Commanders WR [Jahan Dotson](=) (hamstring), LB Cole Holcomb (foot), LB David Mayo (hamstring) and RB [J.D. McKissic](=) (neck) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings. DE Shaka Toney (calf) was limited in practice for a second straight day on Friday, Nov. 4, and is listed as questionable. TE [Logan Thomas](=) (calf), TE [Cole Turner](=) (concussion), DT Jonathan Allen (knee) and C Tyler Larsen (back) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McKissic is no sure thing to play again this year. He's visiting a specialist and neck injuries are always tricky. Antonio Gibson gets a small bump in the passing game with McKissic sitting. [ATL - CB A.J. Terrell ruled out Week 9](=) Source: AtlantaFalcons - Tori McElhaney Atlanta Falcons CB A.J. Terrell (hamstring) was ruled out Friday, Nov. 4, for the Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Josh Palmer's matchup as the #1 receiver for the Chargers gets better with this news. Consider Palmer a high ceiling WR3/Flex when setting your lineup. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [LAR - Week 9 injury report for LA Rams]() Source: The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue Los Angeles Rams LB Jake Hummel (hip) did not practice Friday, Nov. 4, and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. C Brian Allen (knee) and WR Van Jefferson (knee) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. RB [Cam Akers](=) (personal), DT Greg Gaines (illness), LB Ernest C. Jones (illness), WR [Cooper Kupp](=) (ankle) and LB Terrell Lewis (rest) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jefferson should play a larger role this week as long as he is active. There's a chance Akers could turn this into a four-headed backfield. Allen getting back on the field could help an ailing offensive line. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [NYJ - Week 9 injury report for NY Jets]() Source: NewYorkJets.com New York Jets WR [Corey Davis](=) (knee) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. OT Duane Brown (shoulder), OG Nate Herbig (hand), S Lamarcus Joyner (hip) and TE [C.J. Uzomah](=) (shoulder) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 4, and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Garrett Wilson has a better chance of mattering for fantasy this week with Davis out, although the Bills defense has been one of the best in the league, so it's possible that no Jet is a good play this weekend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [CIN - Cincinnati's Week 9 injury report](=) Source: Bengals.com Cincinnati Bengals CB Chidobe Awuzie (knee), WR Ja'Marr Chase (hip), CB Mike Hilton (finger) and DT Josh Tupou (calf) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers. OT La'el Collins (rest, illness) and CB Tre Flowers (hamstring) also did not practice all week but are listed as questionable. LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (personal) did not practice Friday, Nov. 4, but has been removed from the injury report. CB Eli Apple (hamstring), WR [Stanley Morgan](=) (hamstring), DE Sam Hubbard (finger), RB [Samaje Perine](=) (finger), OG Max Scharping (personal) and DE Joseph Ossai (ankle) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bengals offense suffered without Chase last week. Hopefully things will improve against the Panthers, although Tee Higgins will have a tough matchup if both Donte Jackson and Jaycee Horn play with their questionable tags. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [NE - New England's Week 9 injury report]() Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots C David Andrews (concussion) and WR [DeVante Parker](=) (knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Indianapolis Colts. OT Marcus Cannon (concussion) did not practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Nov. 4, and has also been ruled out. CB Jack Jones (illness) did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable. RB [Damien Harris](=) (illness), DT Christian Barmore (knee), S Kyle Dugger (ankle), RB [Pierre Strong](=) (hamstring), LB Josh Uche (hamstring) and DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (ankle) were limited in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. S Devin McCourty (non-injury), DB Adrian Phillips (shoulder) and WR Matthew Slater (hamstring) were not given a practice designation Friday but are expected to be available. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Harris hasn't practiced this week, so we could see a large dose of Rhamondre Stevenson again in Week 9. With Parker sitting, the Patriots pass offense will be missing a downfield element and easier to defend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [LVR - Week 9 injury report for Las Vegas](=) Source: Raiders.com Las Vegas Raiders LB Divine Deablo (back, rest), DE Neil Farrell (knee) and TE [Darren Waller](=) (hamstring) were limited in practice Friday, Nov. 4, and are listed as questionable for Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. WR [Mack Hollins](=) (heel) was limited in practice all week but no longer appears on the injury report. WR [Davante Adams](=) (illness), QB [Derek Carr](=) (back), CB Sam Webb (hamstring, back), OG John Simpson (ankle) and LS Trent Sieg (ankle) practiced in full Friday and have also been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Waller could be back this week, but we'd rather have him on the bench in his first week back and hope he goes off to make us feel better about playing him against the Colts in Week 10. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [TEN - Week 9 injury report for Tennessee]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com Tennessee Titans FB Tory Carter (neck) and S Amani Hooker (shoulder) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Kansas City Chiefs. DT Jeffery Simmons (ankle) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. DT Kevin Strong (ankle) and LB Bud Dupree (illness) did not practice Friday, Nov. 4, and are listed as questionable. QB [Ryan Tannehill](=) (ankle) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday and is also listed as questionable. C Ben Jones (non-injury) was limited in practice Friday but is expected to play. DT Naquan Jones (illness), OG Aaron X. Brewer (toe), RB [Derrick Henry](=) (rest), DT Sam Okuayinonu (knee), LB Rashad Weaver (back), OG Nate Davis (non-injury) and DE Teair Tart (hamstring) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tannehill getting in a limited practice is a good sign that he'll play, but he might be limited in effectiveness. The Chiefs D/ST is one of the best plays of the week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [HOU - WR Brandin Cooks expected back Friday]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans WR [Brandin Cooks](=) is expected to rejoin the team on Friday, Nov. 4, head coach Lovie Smith said on Thursday, Nov. 3. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooks still hasn't proven himself to be a reliable play this year, so we probably shouldn't plug him into lineups until we see how he performs after riding out this turbulent trade deadline period. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [BAL - No practice on Friday for RB Gus Edwards](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens RB [Gus Edwards](=) (hamstring) did not practice for a second straight day Friday, Nov. 4. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Look for Kenyan Drake to get the start and be worth an RB2/Flex play on Monday night. Justice Hill should be the next back off the bench, but he's only worthy of a desperation play. Edwards should be the lead back when he returns, so don't drop him if you can help it. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [TEN - RB Derrick Henry in the clear for Week 9]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com Tennessee Titans RB [Derrick Henry](=) (rest) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 4, and no longer appears on the injury report for Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Henry is good to go in a matchup that makes him a boom/bust play. If the Chiefs blow out the Titans, it might be good for Henry's rest of season outlook, as he has averaged 30 carries a game over the last three weeks. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [ARI - RB James Conner's Week 9 status up in the air]( Source: Arizona Sports 98.7 FM - Tyler Drake Arizona Cardinals RB [James Conner](=) (ribs) will be a game-time decision in Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Conner is just a what-the-heck flex if active, but you'll have to wait until the late games to see if he's ready to go. Eno Benjamin is a flex play either way, but could have some RB2 application if Conner can't go now that Darrel Williams is back on injured reserve. Keaontay Ingram would back up Benjamin if Conner is out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
