[BAL - WR Rashod Bateman pops back up on injury report](#13) --------------------------------------------------------------- 1. [LAC - No setbacks for WR Keenan Allen]( Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper Los Angeles Chargers WR [Keenan Allen](=) (hamstring) did not have any setbacks with his hamstring injury in the Week 7 game against the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Brandon Staley said Monday, Oct. 24. However, Staley said the receiver did not play after halftime due to the fact he 'did not feel like he could burst' off of the leg, and the team didn't want to risk a setback. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see what Allen can do in the week of practice. The team is already going to be without WR Mike Williams (ankle) and could really use Allen after their bye. From both Allen and Staley, it seems the Chargers had Allen on a snap count his first week back. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NE - HC declines to name Week 8 starting QB]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots QB [Bailey Zappe](=) replaced starting QB [Mac Jones](=) in the Week 7 game against the Chicago Bears, but head coach Bill Belichick would not commit to naming a starting quarterback for Week 8 against the New York Jets. 'We just finished the game,' Belichick said Monday, Oct. 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones did not look good in his first action in a few weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain. Jones has been struggling this year, while Zappe has been playing well but had an up-and-down game Monday. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [SEA - Door open for WR DK Metcalf in Week 8?]() Source: Seahawks Wire - Liz Mathews Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks WR [DK Metcalf](=) (knee) remains without a timetable for return to action and is still 'pretty sore' Tuesday, Oct. 25. However, head coach Pete Carroll refused to rule him out for Week 8 against the New York Giants and admitted that he was being vague with his comments because he had no specifics yet regarding Metcalf's patellar tendon injury.'I don't know that, I'm going to leave it wide open on that one. I know what he wants to do, so I'm going to kind of follow him a little bit on this one. I'm sorry, I can't call it. Give us a couple of days to let it cool down and see what's going on. He won't get extensive work on Wednesday regardless. We are going to take care of him, make sure that we are doing the right thing, and we will just see. Unfortunately, we don't know,' Carroll said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Metcalf is likely to be out of practice all week, and even though he could play in Week 8 against the Giants we think he might need to miss time. Seattle can turn to guys like Marquise Goodwin and Dee Eskridge to do more, along with Tyler Lockett, if Metcalf is out of action. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NYJ - Breece Hall put on injured reserve]( Source: NewYorkJets.com - Ethan Greenberg New York Jets RB [Breece Hall](=) (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a torn anterior cruciate ligament Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hall's season is done, and he will now have surgery and then work back to the field at the beginning of the 2023 season. James Robinson and Michael Carter will share the workload in the Jets' backfield. RB Zonovan Knight was signed off the practice squad to replace Hall on the roster. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [HOU - WR Nico Collins not dealing with serious injury]() Source: Pro Football Network - Aaron Wilson Houston Texans WR [Nico Collins](=) (groin) is likely to miss some game action with the groin injury he suffered in Week 7, but the team does not believe it is a long-term issue. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for Collins, and it gives us further clarity at the Texans' wide receiver position. They did add Tyron Johnson on Tuesday, but they also let Tyler Johnson go to clear up space. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TEN - WR Chris Conley signed by TEN]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo Kansas City Chiefs WR [Chris Conley](=) was signed off the practice squad by the Tennessee Titans Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Conley has now been on three teams this season (Texans, Chiefs, Titans). He's appeared in two games, playing 30 snaps, but he's only been targeted twice and he has zero receptions in 2022. However, Conley could get some work on a Titans team that needs help at the wide receiver position. We'll see how he can work into the mix behind Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [HOU - WR Tyler Johnson waived]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Houston Texans WR Tyler Johnson was waived Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Texans added Tyron Johnson on Tuesday, so Tyler Johnson was made expendable. A fifth-round pick (Buccaneers) out of Minnesota in the 2020 NFL draft, Tyler Johnson has not flashed much as a pro with a couple of different teams. He's a player who might get some attention on the waiver wire in the NFL, but from a fantasy perspective we're moving on in super deep dynasty formats. [MIA - Calvin Jackson Jr. headed to Miami]() Source: The Athletic - Zack Rosenblatt Free-agent WR Calvin Jackson Jr. (Jets) was signed to the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson was undrafted out of Washington State this year. He had a breakout season for the Cougars in 2021 by moving to the slot where he became a downfield threat. Jackson is small, but he's quick and does a good job fighting for the ball in the air. We'll monitor him in crazy deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [TEN - Kyle Philips goes on injured reserve]( Source: SI.com - John Glennon Tennessee Titans WR [Kyle Philips](=) (hamstring) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a hamstring injury Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Philips was injured in practice last week and didn't play in Week 7. On IR, Philips will be forced out of action for at least the next four weeks. The Titans added Chris Conley to take his place in the wide receiver's room. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [HOU - Houston brings WR Tyron Johnson aboard]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent WR Tyron Johnson (Raiders) signed an undisclosed contract with the Houston Texans on Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson has talent, but he's bounced around the league since coming into the NFL as a UDFA (Oklahoma State) in 2019. The signing of Johnson could be a sign that Nico Collins' groin injury might keep him out of action in Week 8 against the Titans. Let's see what Collins does during the week. Johnson will try to find a spot in the rotation, but he's behind Brandin Cooks, Phillip Dorsett, and Chris Moore. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [JAX - RB JaMycal Hasty slides up depth chart]() Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports Jacksonville Jaguars RB [JaMycal Hasty](=) becomes RB [Travis Etienne](=)'s primary backup with RB [James Robinson](=) dealt to the New York Jets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hasty has already flashed this year for the Jaguars as the no.3 back. A couple of weeks ago against the Colts, Hasty had three carries for 57 yards and one rushing touchdown. Now, he's in line to get touches behind Etienne only. From a fantasy perspective, Hasty is a bench stash if deeper leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [BAL - Tuesday's practice report for Baltimore]() Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Baltimore Ravens TE [Mark Andrews](=) (knee), WR [Rashod Bateman](=) (foot), LB Josh Bynes (quad), DE Calais Campbell (illness) and OT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Oct. 25. RB [Gus Edwards](=) (knee) and CB Brandon Stephens (oblique) were limited. OG Ben Cleveland (foot), CB Marlon Humphrey (hamstring) and CB Marcus Peters (quad) practiced in full. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Ravens have a short week as they play on the road against the Buccaneers on Thursday night. Let's see if we get more info on Andrews Wednesday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [BAL - WR Rashod Bateman pops back up on injury report]() Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Baltimore Ravens WR [Rashod Bateman](=) (foot) was added to the injury report with a foot injury and did not practice Tuesday, Oct. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It always seems to be something with Bateman. Baltimore travels to Tampa to play the Buccaneers on Thursday night. Right now, Bateman's status is unclear and Fantasy GMs had better make other plans in Week 8.
