[DEN - QB Russell Wilson won't play Week 7]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Denver Broncos QB [Russell Wilson](=) (hamstring) won't play in Week 7, according to sources on Saturday, Oct. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's the wise move for the Broncos. They were not going anywhere with Wilson as the starter, especially since he's banged up - and likely more banged up than he's letting on. Not only does Wilson have a hamstring injury, but he's also dealing with a lat injury near his throwing shoulder. With a bye in Week 9, it's possible the Broncos start Brett Rypien against the Jets on Sunday and the Jaguars in Week 8. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [WAS - QB Carson Wentz placed on IR]() Source: Commanders.com - Zach Selby Washington Commanders QB [Carson Wentz](=) (finger) was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That knocks Wentz out of action for at least four weeks. Reports indicate Wentz has a 4-6 week recovery period after having surgery this week. The Commanders will turn to QB Taylor Heinicke as their starter while Wentz is out. If/when Commanders head coach Ron Rivera gets sick of Heinicke's 'YOLO' playing style, they might turn to rookie Sam Howell to give him some experience. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [LAC - WR Keenan Allen a game-time decision]( Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper Los Angeles Chargers WR [Keenan Allen](=) (hamstring) will be a game-time decision in Week 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Allen was close to returning in Week 6, but the Chargers chose to shut him down against the Broncos on Monday night. The plan was then for him to be ready in Week 7. Now, that doesn't seem like an automatic outcome. The Chargers play Seattle on Sunday, then they have a bye in Week 8. There's a chance the team plays it safe with Allen and keeps him out of action one more week to get an extra week of rest during the bye. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NFL - WR Odell Beckham Jr. could return in December]() Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano Free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. (Rams) is not expected to return until the middle of December, per sources on Wednesday, Oct. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It was thought initially that Beckham could be back in November. Now, it seems like he's going to return from his Super Bowl ACL injury in the final month of the season. He's looking to sign with a contender, and the Rams seem to be his most likely landing spot. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CLE - TE David Njoku surging]() Source: ESPN.com Cleveland Browns TE [David Njoku](=) has 308 receiving yards over his past four games, topping 70 yards three times in that span, and his 347 receiving yards rank fourth among tight ends. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The tight end position is brutal, so if you're one of those Fantasy GMs who drafted Njoku you have to be happy with his increased usage. We like Njoku as a top-5 option for Fantasy GMs this week against the Ravens. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [GB - WR Sammy Watkins activated]() Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers WR [Sammy Watkins](=) (hamstring) was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 22, but is listed as questionable for Week 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watkins is back after missing four weeks on Injured Reserve. He was somewhat effective as a starter over the first two weeks of the season before getting hurt. Watkins might be on a snap count this week if the team chooses to ease him back into action. We'd recommend taking a 'wait and see' approach if you have Watkins on your roster in deeper leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [NE - RB Damien Harris good to go]( Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots RB [Damien Harris](=) (hamstring) was a full participant in practice on Saturday, Oct. 22, and has no designation for Week 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see how the Patriots get Harris involved in the mix with Rhamondre Stevenson. We like him as a flex play against the Bears in Week 7. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [GB - WR Randall Cobb placed on IR]() Source: Packers.com Green Bay Packers WR [Randall Cobb](=) (ankle) was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cobb was carted off the field in Week 6, and now he's set to miss a minimum of four weeks. The veteran receiver's injury opens up the door for WR Sammy Watkins, back from injured reserve himself, to do more. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [BAL - TE Mark Andrews 'ready to go'](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens TE [Mark Andrews](=) (knee) said his 'body feels good' and that he's 'ready to go' for Week 7 on Friday, Oct. 21. Andrew is currently listed as questionable. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs can breathe a sigh of relief here. Andrews is one of the few tight ends you're happy to roster in fantasy football. He's a must-start every week he plays, and Andrews could finish as the no.1 fantasy TE in Week 7 against the Browns. [DEN - Denver elevates two for Week 7](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla Denver Broncos QB Josh Johnson and LS Mitchell Fraboni have been elevated from the practice squad for Week 7, the team announced on Saturday, Oct. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson is a seasoned backup who has played for almost half the teams in the league. He'll be the primary backup to Brett Rypien who is starting as Russell Wilson (hamstring) has been shut down for Week 7 against the Jets. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NYJ - Encouraging trend for Breece Hall](=) Source: ESPN.com New York Jets RB [Breece Hall](=)'s carry count has increased in each game of his career, and he has had at least 17 carries and a touchdown in three straight games. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hall is leading the way for the Jets. Their offense is all about the ground game and limiting QB Zach Wilson. That means Hall is going to continue getting a lot of work. This week against the Broncos, we like Hall as a low-end RB1. The Broncos have a good defense and should stack the line to stuff the run. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [GB - Samori Toure expected to make debut](=) Source: Pro Football Focus - Doug Kyed Green Bay Packers WR Samori Toure is expected to make his NFL debut in Week 7, per sources on Saturday, Oct. 22. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A seventh-round pick out of Nebraska (transferred from Montana) earlier this year, Toure is a versatile player who understands leverage as a route runner. He looked good at the Shrine Bowl back in January, and Toure was a favorite sleeper for draft analysts. The Packers were a good landing spot for Toure and his solid skill set. We'll see if he can take advantage of his opportunity, and we'll continue to monitor him in crazy deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [IND - Jelani Woods making most of catches]( Source: ESPN.com Indianapolis Colts TE [Jelani Woods](=) has three touchdowns on five receptions this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's clear that Colts QB Matt Ryan trusts going to Woods near pay dirt. It makes sense when you consider Woods' size and athleticism combination. His snap counts have gone up each of the last three weeks (15, 23, 30) and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler expects the Colts to "foster Ryan's connection" with Woods moving forward. We like Woods as a 'what the heck' tight end in Week 7 if you play in a deeper league. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [NE - QB Mac Jones questionable for Week 7]( Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots QB [Mac Jones](=) (ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Saturday, Oct. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's the Monday Night game this week so this one is risky. He truly is questionable. It seems like the talk is leaning toward Jones playing but hopefully will have more information Sunday morning. Although it's the Patriots so we likely won't get much of anything. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [JAX - RB Travis Etienne finding his groove](=) Source: ESPN.com Jacksonville Jaguars RB [Travis Etienne](=) has rushed for a combined 157 yards over the last two games after rushing for 144 yards over the first four games. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jaguars seem to be going to Etienne more and more as the season goes on. That's good news for him but bad news for Fantasy GMs with James Robinson. For now, Etienne is a RB2 with upside while Robinson is more of a flex play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [SEA - Good chance to play for WR Tyler Lockett](=) Source: NFL.com Seattle Seahawks WR [Tyler Lockett](=) (hamstring) has a very good chance to play in Week 7 even though he is listed as questionable to play, according to head coach Pete Carroll. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is weird because Lockett did not participate in practice at all this week. According to Carroll, that was done to get him closer to participating in Week 7 against the Chargers. If Lockett can't go, explosive young WR Dee Eskridge will get more opportunity in Seattle's offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [LVR - Raiders hopeful WR Hunter Renfrow can play](=) Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez The Las Vegas Raiders are hopeful WR [Hunter Renfrow](=) (hip) can play in Week 7, head coach Josh McDaniels said on Friday, Oct. 22. Renfrow is currently listed as questionable. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Renfrow did not practice on Thursday, but he was back in action on Friday. The team is hopeful he plays, and Fantasy GMs might still be desperately holding onto the talented receiver. If Renfrow does play against the Texans, we can only recommend him as a 'what the heck' flex.
