[LAC - Two Chargers injured](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Los Angeles Chargers DE/LB Joey Bosa (groin) will undergo tests Monday, Sept. 26, for a groin injury. OT Rashawn Slater (biceps) suffered a potentially serious biceps injury in Week 3 and will undergo tests as well. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bad news here. Bosa is reportedly "week to week" with a "significant" groin injury. And Slater is out for the year. This team continues to be hit with challenges. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NE - QB Mac Jones headed to IR?](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero Updating previous reports, New England Patriots QB [Mac Jones](=) (ankle) could land on the Reserve/Injured list with what is believed to be a high-ankle sprain. An MRI will take place Monday, Sept. 26, to confirm. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brian Hoyer is ready to take over for the Patriots with Jones out of action. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports tests showed Jones suffered a "pretty severe" high ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Ravens. With Hoyer starting, he's still nothing more than a desperation play in 2QB/superflex leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DET - D'Andre Swift could miss time]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Detroit Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) suffered a shoulder sprain in Week 3 that could cause him to miss some time. It's not expected to require surgery. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This shoulder sprain could cost Swift at least a couple of weeks. They have a bye in Week 6, and the team may want to bring back Swift in Week 7 against the Cowboys. Let's see what he does during the week, but Jamaal Williams jumps to a top priority on the waiver wire this week. If he's out there, Williams has RB2 with upside fantasy potential if he's the Lions' lead back. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DET - D'Andre Swift to miss a couple of games?](=) Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) could possibly be sidelined until after the team's Week 6 bye in an effort to let his ailing shoulder heal up, according to comments from head coach Dan Campbell on Monday, Sept. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There is a chance Swift has to miss time until the Week 7 game against the Cowboys. That means Jamaal Williams would get the most touches in the Lions' backfield, and he'd be an RB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs with that role. Stay tuned; we'll learn more about Swift's status as the week progresses. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CIN - RB Joe Mixon in no danger of missing Week 4](=) Source: ESPN.com - Ben Baby Cincinnati Bengals RB [Joe Mixon](=) (ankle) got his ankle 'nicked up' in Week 3 against the New York Jets, but he will be 'good to go' versus the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, according to head coach Zac Taylor. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mixon will likely get some rest during the week of practice. The Bengals were able to get on the winning track against the Jets in Week 3, but going up against the undefeated Dolphins is a whole different story. They'll need Mixon to be as near full strength as possible in order to pull off the upset. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [MIA - QB Tua Tagovailoa working through back injury]( Source: The Miami Herald - Daniel Oyefusi Updating previous reports, Miami Dolphins QB [Tua Tagovailoa](=) (back) is expected to undergo imaging tests on the back injury that temporarily caused him to leave the game in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] During the game against the Bills, Tagovailoa was banged up with what looked like a concussion. He was stumbling around a bit after his head hit the ground. Head coach Mike McDaniel noted during his presser on Monday, Sept. 26, that it was Tagovailoa's back and not his head that forced him from the game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CHI - RB David Montgomery day-to-day with ankle injury]() Source: The Athletic - Adam Jahns Chicago Bears RB [David Montgomery](=) (ankle) is considered day-to-day with the ankle injury he suffered in Week 3 against the Houston Texans, according to head coach Matt Eberflus. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see how Montgomery is dealt with during the week of practice. Montgomery's injury could open the door for Khalil Herbert to do more. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NO - WR Michael Thomas OK](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints WR [Michael Thomas](=) (toe) didn't suffer a serious injury in Week 3, and it's not to the same foot of his previous ankle issues. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thomas was bounced from the game against the Panthers and declared doubtful to return. Chris Olave took over as the primary wide receiver with Thomas down, and the Saints lost the game to Carolina by a score of 22-14. It's not the same foot injury as before, but it's still a concern for the talented veteran who has been oft-injured over the last couple of seasons. [NO - WR Jarvis Landry sore](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints WR [Jarvis Landry](=) (foot) is dealing with soreness, but he's believed to be OK. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Landry was forced from Sunday's game against the Panthers. At this time, it sounds like he's going to be okay but we anticipate him missing some practice time this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [MIN - RB Dalvin Cook day-to-day]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings RB [Dalvin Cook](=) (shoulder) is considered day-to-day with the dislocated shoulder he suffered in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reports are indicating that Cook can wear a brace and play in Week 4. He'll be limited during the week of practice with this shoulder injury, but Cook is an RB1 for Fantasy GMs anytime he's on the field. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [TB - WR Cole Beasley returns to PS]( Source: NFLCommunications.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Cole Beasley was returned to the practice squad Monday, Sept. 26, after being on the active roster for the Week 3 game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This was expected as the Tampa Bay WRs return to the lineup. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [LAC - WR Jalen Guyton out for the year]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Los Angeles Chargers WR [Jalen Guyton](=) (knee) was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 3 and will miss the remainder of the season, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Guyton wasn't a big part of the Chargers' passing attack, but he is a deep threat that the team will have to replace. We'll likely see more Mike Williams running deep routes to help take the top off the defense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [CLE - DE Myles Garrett involved in accident]() Source: ESPN - Jake Trotter Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett (undisclosed) was involved in a one-car accident Monday, Sept. 26, and suffered non-life threatening injures. He was taken to a Cleveland area hospital after the accident. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] NFL.com reported, "Garrett, who was traveling with one passenger, was involved in a crash around 3 p.m. local time near the 5600 block of State Road, the Ohio State Highway Patrol told NFL.com. Garrett was said to be alert and aware upon officer arrival at the scene. Garrett did not suffer any major injuries, according to the OSHP, and impairment is not suspected." We hope to have more clarity on the situation later Tuesday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [SF - Trent Williams likely out at least a month](=) Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers OT Trent Williams (ankle) is expected to miss four to six weeks with the high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A tough blow for an offense that was already struggling. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [ATL - Atlanta still confident in WR Bryan Edwards?]() Source: The Athletic - Josh Kendall Atlanta Falcons WR [Bryan Edwards](=) was a healthy scratch in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks because the team wanted to take a deeper look at some other receivers, according to comments made by head coach Arthur Smith on Monday, Sept. 26. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs were not relying on Edwards anyway. A third-round pick of the Raiders in the 2020 NFL draft, Edwards has looked like a bust with two teams. Even in crazy deep dynasty formats, we're not over the moon about Edwards' fantasy value. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [MIN - WR Justin Jefferson's disappointing Week 3 explained]() Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling Minnesota Vikings WR [Justin Jefferson](=) received 'some variation of a double' team on all but eight or nine snaps in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs should not panic even though Jefferson has just 62 yards over his last two games. He's locked in as a WR1 every week, and we're confident the Vikings will find ways to get him open even against defenses geared towards stopping him.
