[TB - WR Mike Evans suspended one game](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Mike Evans](=) was suspended one game Monday, Sept. 19, for violating the league's player-safety policy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans can appeal the suspension, but the NFL has suspended him before for an altercation with Saints CB Marshon Lattimore back in 2017. It's most likely the Buccaneers will be without the superstar receiver in a huge Week 3 matchup against the Packers. Fantasy GMs with Evans on their roster need to make other plans at the position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SF - QB Trey Lance undergoes ankle surgery]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero San Francisco 49ers QB [Trey Lance](=) (ankle) underwent surgery to repair his fractured and dislocated ankle Monday, Sept. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bad news for the young quarterback here, but there is a small bit of silver lining. Per multiple reports, Lance will be sidelined for the entire 2022 season but was able to avoid a compound fracture similar to the one Cowboys QB Dak Prescott suffered in 2020. The 49ers now turn to Jimmy Garoppolo as their starting quarterback. We'll see if Lance can be counted on as the starter in 2023, or if the 49ers bring in another passer to at least compete with him for the starting job. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BAL - RB J.K. Dobbins labeled 'week-to-week'](=) Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec Baltimore Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is considered week-to-week, according to head coach John Harbaugh, who refused to tell reporters whether Dobbins would be available for Week 3 versus the New England Patriots. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That means the team will continue to be cautious with Dobbins, and the 'week-to-week' label makes it seem like he's not close to a return. This contradicts reports that he wants to play and was getting close to a return. The Ravens' rushing attack could use some help. In Week 2, Ravens RB Kenyan Drake rushed six times for just eight yards, and he was not targeted in the passing game, against the Miami Dolphins, his former team. Stay tuned as always. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DAL - Likely PCL injury for TE Dalton Schultz]( Source: ESPN.com - Todd Archer Dallas Cowboys TE [Dalton Schultz](=) (knee) is reportedly dealing with a posterior collateral ligament injury in his right knee, according to ESPN.com's Todd Archer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A PCL injury is considered minor, but it still means Schultz could be missing time. The Cowboys play on Monday night in Week 3 against the Giants, meaning the big day of practice for Schultz is on Saturday. Have other options ready to go on Sunday if we don't get clear news about Schultz's availability over the weekend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DAL - TE Dalton Schultz suffers knee injury]( Source: Dallas Morning News - Michael Gehlken Dallas Cowboys TE [Dalton Schultz](=) (knee) caught two passes for 18 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 before he was injured late in the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep an eye on this situation, especially if you were relying on Schultz as part of a fantasy TE rotation. He was unable to play on the team's final drive and will undergo tests on Monday, Sept. 19, to determine the severity of the injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [IND - Michael Pittman Jr. could return Week 3](=) Source: Indianapolis Star - Nate Atkins Indianapolis Colts WR [Michael Pittman](=) Jr. (quad) reportedly made good progress with his injured quad over the weekend, according to head coach Frank Reich. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Colts need all the help they can get, especially after getting embarrassed by the Jaguars in Week 2. According to Reich, the team will be patient with Pittman heading to practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, but there is hope he will be ready to go in Week 3 versus the Kansas City Chiefs. [DAL - WR Michael Gallup has a chance to play Week 3]( Source: The Dallas Morning News - Michael Gehlken Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup (knee) has been limited in practice each of the last two weeks, but it is 'certainly possible for him to be up against the (New York) Giants (in Week 3),' according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This seems to be the plan, and it has been for some time. Gallup was not shut down on early season Injured Reserve, so the Cowboys planned on him being ready in the first month of the regular season. After a big win over the Bengals, the Cowboys are going to try and build momentum in Week 3 against the Giants on Monday night. If Gallup does play in Week 3, the team is likely to ease him back into action with a snap count. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NYJ - QB Joe Flacco to draw at least one more start]() Source: SNY.tv - Connor Hughes New York Jets QB [Joe Flacco](=) will make his third straight start in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to multiple sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Zach Wilson will return to the lineup when he's 100 percent, but no sooner than that. Flacco has been put in situations where he needs to fill the air with footballs. Over the last two games, Flacco has 616 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception while completing over 61 percent of his passes. Even with this continued opportunity to start, we can't recommend Flacco as anything more than a desparation play in Week 3 against the Bengals. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [ARI - RB James Conner dealing with minor ankle injury]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals RB [James Conner](=) (ankle) is day-to-day with the ankle injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The injury can be summarized as 'no big deal' but to Fantasy GMs it is a concern. Conner is a tremendously valuable player with a nose for the end zone, and he can post RB1 numbers most every week. However, he does come with a bit of an injury concern. We'll see if this 'no big deal' injury causes him to miss practice time in preparation for Week 3. Friday is the big day of practice around the league, and we'll know more about Conner's status then. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DEN - WR Jerry Jeudy avoids serious injury](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Denver Broncos WR [Jerry Jeudy](=) (chest, sternum) is considered day-to-day after exiting the first quarter with a chest or sternum injury of Week 2 against the Houston Texans. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for the Broncos here. Initially reported as a shoulder injury, Jeudy now has what is being called a chest/sternum issue after getting hit hard by Texans CB Steven Nelson on Sunday. They'll limit him in practice, and we'll know more by Friday if Jeudy is going to play in Week 3 on Sunday night against the 49ers. Courtland Sutton could continue to get the largest share of the Broncos' passing game going forward. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [SF - QB Jimmy Garoppolo has some lofty incentives]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates San Francisco 49ers QB [Jimmy Garoppolo](=) earns $250,000 for each game he plays 25 percent of the snaps. If the 49ers win, that number jumps to $350,000. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Garoppolo is now inserted back into the starting lineup for the 49ers with QB Trey Lance (ankle) done for the year. He restructured his deal to stay with the team earlier this summer, and it seems like he could hit a lot of those incentives. He has a chance to earn $5.6 million in the regular season.
