News and Notes from around the league  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Footballguys Email Updates](=) [Go PRO]( | [View Online](=) [Unsubscribe]( | [Sign Up]() [Footballguys.com](=)Daily Email Update • Vol. 24, #162 • Sep. 18th[,](=) 2022 --------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks To Our Sponsor, [Monkey Knife Fight]( Howdy {NAME}, We've got another wild Sunday in the books. [SF - QB Trey Lance out for remainder of season](=) Source: 49ers.com Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers QB [Trey Lance](=) (ankle) suffered a broken right ankle in the Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Sunday, Sept. 18. His injury will require season-ending surgery. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tough news for the young man here. Wishing him a full and complete recovery. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SF - QB Jimmy Garoppolo back as the starter](=) Source: ESPN San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo completed 13-of-21 passes for 154 yards one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, coming on in relief of the injured QB [Trey Lance](=) (fractured ankle). [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers are looking smart in having an exceptional backup ready to take over. Garoppolo jumps back into this offense and hopefully will have TE George Kittle back soon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [MIA - QB Tua Tagovailoa ties franchise record]( Source: ESPN Stats and Information Miami Dolphins QB [Tua Tagovailoa](=) completed 36-of-50 passes for 469 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. The six TDs ties Dan Marino and Bob Griese for the most TD passes in a single game in franchise history. He is also the second-youngest player since 1950 to throw for at least 450 pass yards and six touchdowns, behind only Kansas City Chiefs QB [Patrick Mahomes](=). [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Ravens secondary was banged up and run ragged by the Dolphins speed. Mike McDaniel has realized the gains of having two #1 receivers already and Tagovailoa could be a breakout fantasy quarterback on the back of that development. We should probably put more praise on the Patriots defense for what they did vs. Miami last week. Buffalo will have to contend with the Miami passing game next week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [MIA - WR Tyreek Hill has monster game](=) Source: ESPN Miami Dolphins WR [Tyreek Hill](=) registered 11 receptions for a game-high 190 yards and two scores on 13 targets in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hill was quiet in the first half, as Jaylen Waddle broke out, but he broke the back of the Ravens tired secondary in the second half. It looks like changing quarterbacks away from Patrick Mahomes may actually be an improvement for his fantasy prospects somehow. He'll face the Bills, who are missing their #1 corner Tre'Davious White, next week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - Shoulder injury for WR Jerry Jeudy]() Source: NFL.com Denver Broncos WR [Jerry Jeudy](=) (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 2 game and is considered questionable to return. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos offense is having a rough time clicking in the passing game without Jeudy. The pass offense will have to rely on the tight ends and running backs with Jeudy sidelined as K.J. Hamler is out for this one. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYJ - QB Joe Flacco tosses 4 TDs in Week 2](=) Source: ESPN New York Jets QB [Joe Flacco](=) completed 26-of-44 passes for 307 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns would have won if Nick Chubb had just gone down at the 1, but he scored, and then Flacco hit Corey Davis on a busted coverage touchdown, Amari Cooper couldn't recover an onsides kick, and the shocked Browns defense couldn't get their bearings as the Jets went down the field to win. Zach Wilson due back in Week 4, but if Flacco can beat the Bengals next week... The Browns get an easier assignment when Mitchell Trubisky and the Steelers come to town next week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CLE - RB Nick Chubb records three touchdowns](=) Source: ESPN Cleveland Browns RB [Nick Chubb](=) rushed 17 times for 87 yards with three touchdowns in Week 2 against the New York Jets while adding three receptions for 26 yards on his three targets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chubb was his usual rugged and powerful self, and set the tone for the offense. He chose to score instead of going down at the 1 and clinch the game, and the rest is history. He looks like a big hit in the third round of fantasy drafts. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [MIA - WR Jaylen Waddle goes bonkers in Week 2](=) Source: ESPN Miami Dolphins WR [Jaylen Waddle](=) rolled up 11 receptions for a career-high 171 yards, two touchdowns and 19 targets in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Waddle came out hot and then finished the game with the go ahead score. It looks like he can he a fantasy WR1 even though Tyreek Hill got a huge contract and the team gave up a lot of draft capital for him. Waddle will need to have two duds in a row end up in start/sit questions. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DET - QB Jared Goff throws for four touchdowns]() Source: NFL.com Detroit Lions QB [Jared Goff](=) went 20-for-34 for 256 yards and four touchdowns against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Lions scored a lot more through the air this week after scoring three times on the ground last week. Goff is looking like a strong QB2/Superflex and matchup QB1 in 1 QB leagues. He'll face Minnesota in what should be a high scoring game next week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DET - WR Amon-Ra St. Brown has outstanding outing]() Source: NFL.com Detroit Lions WR [Amon-Ra St. Brown](=) caught nine passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. He also rushed for 68 yards on two carries during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] St. Brown tied Michael Thomas and Antonio Brown for an NFL record of having 8+ receptions in 8 straight games. His performance last year down the stretch was not a mirage and he would be a second round pick if we had fantasy drafts today, maybe even a first. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [CAR - WR D.J. Moore gets into the end zone](=) Source: ESPN Carolina Panthers WR [D.J. Moore](=) registered three receptions for a team-high 43 yards on six targets in Week 2 against the New York Giants. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore had a good play on the drive to set up his score, but was otherwise barely heard from. He's a WR3/Flex heading into a matchup with the Saints, and there's no quick fix in sight. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NYJ - Garrett Wilson shines in Ohio return](=) Source: ESPN New York Jets WR [Garrett Wilson](=) posted eight receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns in his first pro game in the Buckeye state, where he starred at Ohio State. It was his first 100-yard game and first career scores, too. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilson caught the game winning score in the improbable comeback win. This result might have been boosted by numbers that shouldn't have happened if Nick Chubb had just gone down, but Wilson looked electric and should be in lineups against the Bengals next week anyway. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey hits century mark](=) Source: ESPN Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey](=) rushed 15 times for 102 yards in Week 2 against the New York Giants while adding four receptions for 26 yards on five targets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCaffrey is not the problem in Carolina. Hopefully the team will prioritize getting the ball in his hands more than 19 times next week against the Saints. He is still an elite fantasy RB1 when this is what his floor game looks like. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [DET - D'Andre Swift involved in run, pass game]() Source: NFL.com Detroit Lions RB D'Andre Swift rushed for 56 yards on five carries against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. He also caught two passes for 31 yards and one touchdown during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Swift wasn't 100% coming into this one, but he broke off a long run early and scored on a hot route when Jared Goff found him under pressure. Swift fell and was still able to get up and find a way through the defense for the score. He's a boom/bust RB1 heading into a matchup with the Vikings. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [NO - Touchdown for WR Michael Thomas](=) Source: NFL.com New Orleans Saints WR [Michael Thomas](=) caught six passes for 65 yards and one touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. He was targeted nine times during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thomas faced one of his toughest matchups, Carlton Davis, and still had a good game. His touchdown came late with the team down 20-3, but you'll take it just the same if you trusted Thomas. He's back to being an every-week start in fantasy leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NO - Chris Olave productive in Week 2](=) Source: NFL.com New Orleans Saints WR [Chris Olave](=) caught five passes for 80 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. He was targeted 13 times during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Olave had an astounding 365 air yards as the Saints and Jameis Winston really tried to get him going as a downfield target. He fumbled on a 51-yard reception even though he was untouched. He should be held, but isn't quite trustworthy in lineups yet as Michael Thomas should get more targets next week when he's not facing Carlton Davis, the Tampa corner that is his nemesis. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [DET - TE T.J. Hockenson quiet in Week 2]() Source: NFL.com Detroit Lions TE [T.J. Hockenson](=) caught three passes for 26 yards against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. He was targeted seven times during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hockenson looked stiff and clumsy in the win. He is a marginal TE1 for fantasy right now, but this is a good offense and teams are going to try to take away Amon-Ra St. Brown, which could open things up for Hockenson. Stick with him next week against the Vikings unless you have an obviously better option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [CLE - WR Amari Cooper hits triple digits](=) Source: ESPN Cleveland Browns WR [Amari Cooper](=) finished nine receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Week 2 against the New York Jets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cooper had a big bounceback game for fantasy and may be trustworthy with Jacoby Brissett after all, but he wasn't able to corral an onsides kick at the end and it cost the team the game. Consider him a high-ceiling WR3/Flex against the Steelers next week. [NYJ - Breece Hall gets into the end zone](=) Source: ESPN New York Jets RB [Breece Hall](=) rushed seven times for a team-high 50 yards in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, and he added one grab for a 10-yard touchdown on his only target, his first NFL score. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hall was left alone on the touchdown in a blown coverage, but he looked spry on his touches and has life in fantasy leagues. He'll be an RB2/Flex next week against the Bengals. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [TB - Five receptions for WR Russell Gage](=) Source: NFL.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Russell Gage](=) Jr. caught five passes for 28 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. He was targeted six times during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gage didn't do much with his targets, but Tom Brady and the offense was under duress all day. If Chris Godwin and Julio Jones are out again next week, Gage will be a what the heck flex play in PPR leagues as hopefully his own hamstring issue from training camp is getting better. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [NO - TE Juwan Johnson catches four passes](=) Source: NFL.com New Orleans Saints TE [Juwan Johnson](=) caught four passes for 40 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. He was targeted seven times during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson was the target on a terrible overthrow by Jameis Winston that accounted for one of his three interceptions. He was still a viable fantasy tight end and should be picked up in tight end premium leagues and put on the waiver wire watch list in typical leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [TB - QB Tom Brady held to under 200 yards](=) Source: NFL.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB [Tom Brady](=) went 18-for-34 for 190 yards and one touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brady didn't play as badly as his stat line indicates, he was just hampered by not having his #2 or #3 receivers and his left tackle, in addition to already playing with a depleted interior offensive line. He'll face another tough front seven next week when Green Bay comes to town. Watch the offensive line and wide receiver corps status before making a decision about Brady in Week 3. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [DET - RB Jamaal Williams has decent outing]() Source: NFL.com Detroit Lions RB [Jamaal Williams](=) rushed for 53 yards on 12 carries against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. He also caught one pass for seven yards during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams didn't convert any rushing scores after having two last week, but he ran well and he should at least be an emergency/matchup flex with injury upside if D'Andre Swift goes down (and he was already questionable this week). Hold onto Williams. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [MIA - TE Mike Gesicki back in the end zone](=) Source: ESPN Miami Dolphins TE [Mike Gesicki](=) registered four grabs for 41 yards and his first touchdown of 2022 on four targets in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gesicki skied for a gorgeous touchdown catch and showed that he can earn his franchise tag salary by doing more than blocking this week. He should be added anywhere he was dropped as defenses are likely to make him a low priority in the game plan. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 25. [NYJ - TE Tyler Conklin targeted nine times](=) Source: ESPN New York Jets TE [Tyler Conklin](=) finished with six grabs for 40 yards on nine targets in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Conklin is a viable desperation play at tight end for as long as C.J. Uzomah is out, although the Jets pass attempt numbers may not stay this high going forward. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 26. [TB - WR Mike Evans leads team in receiving](=) Source: NFL.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Mike Evans](=) caught three passes for 61 yards against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. He was targeted four times during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans was ejected in the fourth quarter after flooring Marshon Lattimore following a whistle when Lattimore was jawing with Tom Brady. He is still a solid fantasy WR1 heading into a matchup against the Packers and Jaire Alexander. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 27. [MIA - RB Raheem Mostert leads the backfield](=) Source: ESPN Miami Dolphins RB [Raheem Mostert](=) rushed 11 times for a team-high 51 yards in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens while adding three grabs for 28 yards on his only three targets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mostert was on the field for the first series and appears to have overtaken Chase Edmonds to start for the Dolphins. He's a flex play against the Bills next week and his value should grow if he can stay healthy as defense should be preoccupied with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 28. [NE - QB Mac Jones a little better in Week 2](=) Source: ESPN New England Patriots QB [Mac Jones](=) completed 21-of-35 passes for 252 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers while running for six yards. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones wasn't great, but he was good enough to get the win in Pittsburgh. The offense still feels out of synch. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 29. [BAL - Another big play for WR Rashod Bateman](=) Source: ESPN Baltimore Ravens WR [Rashod Bateman](=) registered four grabs for a team-high 108 yards with a 75-yard touchdown in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. Bateman has two touchdowns of 55 or more yards in as many games. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bateman was able to showcase his speed and continues to impress with his big play ability. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 30. [CAR - WR Robbie Anderson struggles in Week 2](=) Source: ESPN Carolina Panthers WR [Robbie Anderson](=) posted three catches for 32 yards on five targets in Week 2 against the New York Giants, and he also lost a fumble. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Anderson's 75-yard touchdown in Week 1 is in the rearview mirror now. He's just bench depth with Baker Mayfield not exactly cooking in the passing offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 31. [CLE - QB Jacoby Brissett so-so in home debut](=) Source: ESPN Cleveland Browns QB [Jacoby Brissett](=) completed 22-of-27 passes for 229 yards, one touchdown and one interception with 43 rushing yards on six attempts in Week 2 against the New York Jets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brissett had maybe his best game as a pro even though his defense and special teams blew it at the end. He is looking like a viable QB2/Superflex, although the Steelers matchup next week might be one to avoid. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 32. [BAL - QB Lamar Jackson totals four touchdowns](=) Source: ESPN Baltimore Ravens QB [Lamar Jackson](=) completed 21-of-29 passes for 318 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, while adding nine runs for a game-high 119 yards and a score. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson was electric and productive, but the Ravens couldn't match Miami. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 33. [TB - RB Leonard Fournette posts 65 rushing yards](=) Source: NFL.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB [Leonard Fournette](=) rushed for 65 yards on 24 carries against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. He also caught two passes for nine yards during the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fournette wasn't efficient, but he got a lead-back workload and we didn't expect much from the Bucs offense today. He's still a fantasy RB1 heading into a matchup with the Packers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 34. [NYG - RB Saquon Barkley totals 88 scrimmage yards](=) Source: ESPN New York Giants RB [Saquon Barkley](=) registered 72 rushing yards on 21 attempts in Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers while adding three grabs for 16 yards on four targets. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Barkley came back to earth against a tougher run defense, but still got the kind of workload you expect from your fantasy first-round pick. You're still happy with Barkley if this is his weekly floor. The Giants are competitive, which is all you can ask heading into a game against the Cowboys. [NYJ - RB Michael Carter totals 50 scrimmage yards](=) Source: ESPN New York Jets RB [Michael Carter](=) rushed seven times for 23 yards while adding five grabs for 27 yards on five targets in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Carter had a decent PPR game, but unlike last week, he was outplayed by Breece Hall in a development that could shift this split towards the rookie. Carter should be held, but not started next week against the Bengals while we await more data points. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 36. [NO - QB Jameis Winston turns ball over three times](=) Source: NFL.com New Orleans Saints QB [Jameis Winston](=) went 25-for-40 for 236 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Winston came apart in the fourth quarter but did lead a garbage-time touchdown and might have gotten another if Chris Olave hadn't fumbled the first long reception of his career.
