[PIT - RB Najee Harris a full participant]() Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley Pittsburgh Steelers RB [Najee Harris](=) (foot) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Harris said he's good to go, so we're assuming he's good to go against the Patriots in Week 2. He aggravated his Lisfranc injury, but Harris is fully participating on Thursday and that's a great sign for his availability. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [DET - D'Andre Swift sidelined again Thursday]( Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman Detroit Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's two missed practices in a row for Swift. He looked great in Week 1, but this ankle problem has given Fantasy GMs pause when considering him in Week 2 against the Commanders. If Swift is out of action, the Lions would turn to Jamaal Williams as their lead back. If Williams gets the start, he's an RB2 with upsdie for Fantasy GMs out there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NE - QB Mac Jones dealing with illness](=) Source: NESN - Zack Cox New England Patriots QB [Mac Jones](=) (illness) is not expected to practice Thursday, Sept. 15, and is in question for the Week 2 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The final injury report with designations will be released Friday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs aren't going to look at Jones in Week 2 against a rambunctious Steelers defense. He had a back injury after Week 1 that required X-rays earlier this week. Now, Jones is sick and may miss Week 2. That means Brian Hoyer could be starting for the Patriots on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [TB - WR Mike Evans not seen at practice]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Mike Evans](=) (calf) was not spotted at practice Thursday, Sept. 15, during the portion open to the media. Evans logged a limited practice Wednesday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans is a seasoned veteran who doesn't need every rep to play on Sunday. We'll see what he can do on Friday. Evans is up against Saints CB Marshon Lattimore in Week 2, and that's always been a bad matchup for him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [TB - RB Leonard Fournette works in full Thursday]() Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB [Leonard Fournette](=) (hamstring) was upgraded to a full practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fournette could be the guy the Buccaneers lean on in Week 2 against the Saints. He started off the season with a bang against the Cowboys on Sunday night, rushing for 127 yards in the win. It looks like he's on track to start in Week 2, but if Fournette needs a breather or gets banged up in the game, then the Buccaneers could give rookie RB Rachaad White more time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TB - WR Julio Jones misses second straight practice]() Source: PewterReport.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Julio Jones](=) (knee) missed his second consecutive practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're not as concerned about Jones because he's a seasoned veteran, and getting extra rest when he's got a minor knee problem is the wise move. That being said, missing two straight practices isn't encouraing. Let's see what he does on Friday, as Jones has WR3/flex appeal in Week 2 against the Saints. Jones could have even more value if Mike Evans (calf) doesn't play with Chris Godwin (hamstring) already out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [TEN - Kyle Philips not on field]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com Tennessee Titans WR [Kyle Philips](=) (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Philips was looking like someone you could grab from the waiver wire and insert him into your deep flex position...and now he's missing practice. The Titans play against the Bills on Monday Night Football, so let's see if Philips can get out there on Saturday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [GB - Allen Lazard remains limited](=) Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman Green Bay Packers WR Allen Lazard (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Aaron Rodgers is looking for better play from his wide receivers. A healthy Lazard would help him and the Packers passing attack. They're at home in a winable game against the Bears in Week 2. Lazard missed Week 1, and if he plays against the Bears we'd consider him as a flex play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CLE - TE David Njoku away from team]() Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot Cleveland Browns TE [David Njoku](=) (personal) was excused from practice for a personal reason Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Njoku was extended this offseason, making Fantasy GMs excited about his prospects for the upcoming season. Then, Njoku was only targeted one time in Week 1. He caught his lone target for seven yards against the Panthers, and the coaching staff complimented his blocking ability. Fantasy GMs don't get points for blocks, so Njoku is a player you can't trust in Week 2 against the Jets. [DAL - WR Michael Gallup limited again]() Source: WFAA - Joe Trahan Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup (knee) was limited in practice once again on Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Most think Gallup will be ready for Week 3. The Cowboys will be without QB Dak Prescott for at least a few weeks, so any help they can get on offense will be welcome. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [TB - WR Russell Gage listed as limited]() Source: NFLCommunications.com Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Russell Gage](=) Jr. (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gage is limited, and the team could be leaning on him against the Saints if he's available. In Week 2, without WR Chris Godwin, Gage could get enough work to pay off as a 'what the heck' flex on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [BAL - RB J.K. Dobbins practices in full]() Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This points to Dobbins playing in Week 2 after missing the season opener. The Ravens could not run the ball well, and perhaps the insertion of Dobbins into the lineup will help. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [ARI - WR Rondale Moore sits again Thursday]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Arizona Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (hamstring) did not take part in practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore is incredibly talented, and he might be one of the most explosive players in the game regardless of position. However, he's battled hamstring problems for years, and the second-year pro just can't shake the injury bug so far in 2022. Greg Dortch might be in line to do more like he did in Week 1 against the Chiefs when he had seven catches for 63 yards. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [CIN - WR Tee Higgins not with team Thursday](=) Source: The Athletic - Jay Morrison Cincinnati Bengals WR [Tee Higgins](=) (concussion, personal) will not practice with the team Thursday, Sept. 15, due to personal reasons. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Higgins was progressing through the concussion protocol, and now he misses practice due to personal reasons. It looks like he's going to play, but practicing on Friday (even limited) would make us feel better about starting him as a WR3/flex option versus the Cowboys in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [IND - Michael Pittman Jr. sidelined Thursday]( Source: The Athletic - Zak Keefer Indianapolis Colts WR [Michael Pittman](=) Jr. (quad) was present but did not participate in the open portion of practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's not great news, but let's see what Friday brings for the young wide receiver. The Colts are looking to get their first win of the season in Week 2 against the Jaguars after tying the Texans in overtime in Week 1. If he's out there, Pittman is a WR1 for Fantasy GMs in any format. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [NYG - Limited practice for WR Kadarius Toney]() Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone New York Giants WR [Kadarius Toney](=) (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Toney has a ton of talent, but he needs to stay healthy and earn a larger opportunity with the Giants. At this time, Richie James is a better consideration for your fantasy teams. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [TB - WR Chris Godwin misses Thursday's practice]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Chris Godwin](=) (hamstring) was not seen at practice Thursday, Sept. 15, during the portion open to the media. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Godwin is going to miss some time with this hamstring injury. That means WRs Russell Gage and Julio Jones will get more playing time and targets. We like Jones as a WR2/flex play, and Gage has 'what the heck' flex appeal in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
