[WAS - RB Brian Robinson In Stable Condition After Being Shot](=) Source: John Keim - ESPN From ESPN, "Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson is in stable condition at a hospital after being shot multiple times during an attempted carjacking in Washington D.C., a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Awful news obviously. We don't know any more than this as of Sunday evening but hope to know more soon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NYG - QB Tyrod Taylor update]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo Updating a previous report, New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor (back) 'should be OK' after leaving the preseason Week 3 game on Sunday, Aug. 28, due to an unspecified back injury, head coach Brian Daboll said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news here for Taylor and the Giants. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [LAR - RB Darrell Henderson a full go]() Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson (undisclosed) was able to practice at full speed Saturday, Aug. 27, according to head coach Sean McVay. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Henderson is not just an injury upside backup to Cam Akers. The team has often spoken of the two as a true tandem backfield, not a starter and #2 back. Henderson will have to stay healthy for that model to stick. We'll see if this can persist through the early season games. Kyren Williams is healthy and the team says he is going to play a big role, so a three-man committee is possible here. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LAR - RB Cam Akers still recovering]() Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop Los Angeles Rams RB Cam Akers (undisclosed) 'wasn't able' to work out at full speed Saturday, Aug. 27, according to head coach Sean McVay. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Akers isn't draftable anywhere near his ADP right now. Darrell Henderson and Kyren Williams are healthier, but none have made it through the summer without an injury. The Rams are headed towards an unreliable three-headed RBBC. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [GB - Christian Watson prepping for Week 1?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) sat out the preseason finale in order to be ready for the regular season,' according to head coach Matt LaFleur. 'Our medical staff thought it would be in his best interest to give him two more weeks before we put him in a game situation,' LaFleur said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watson will at best be a role player replacing the vertical speed lost when Marquez Valdes-Scantling left for Kansas City in free agency. Fourth-round pick Romeo Doubs will have a larger role to start with. He's the Packers rookie receiver to target late in redraft leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [CHI - QB Justin Fields lights up preseason finale]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields completed 14-of-16 passes for 156 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, Aug. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This was against mostly backups for Cleveland, so we can't get too excited, but success generally begets more success, at least more often than failure does. The installation of more play-action seems to have helped Fields get his feet under him. He's worth the pick outside the top 12 quarterbacks that he costs in typical leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [NO - Abram Smith cut]() Source: Pro Football Network - Aaron Wilson New Orleans Saints RB Abram Smith was waived Sunday, Aug. 28. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith was just outplayed by other backs, including Tony Jones Jr, who is set up to be the #3 behind Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram. The undrafted free agent out of Baylor could catch onto a practice squad elsewhere. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [SF - John Miller to visit SF]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent OG John Miller (Panthers) is scheduled to visit the San Francisco 49ers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Miller is a starting quality guard who was in the lineup 24 times for the Panthers over the last two years, and started for the Bills and Bengals earlier in his career. The team has 2021 second-round pick Aaron Banks and this year's fourth-round pick Spencer Burford at guard right now, but Miller could provide a veteran upgrade in reliability and experience at a sore spot on the line during the preseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [CLE - Wyatt Teller injures knee](=) Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Chris Easterling Cleveland Browns OG Wyatt Teller (knee) suffered a knee injury during the preseason finale against the Chicago Bears Saturday, Aug. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team said that Teller would have returned if this wasn't a preseason game. The team's starting right guard should be ready for the season opener against Carolina. [TB - Robert Hainsey won't return]( Source: Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith Tampa Bay Buccaneers C Robert Hainsey (ankle) won't return to the preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts after suffering an ankle injury Saturday, Aug. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bucs have now lost their starting center and one of their starting guards, followed by their new starting center and top backup at center and guard (Nick Leverett) getting hurt in the preseason finale. The Cowboys interior defensive line will be licking their chops going into the Week 1 matchup and we'll see if we should expect all of this turnover to materially affect the offensive productivity this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [MIA - DE Trey Flowers joining Miami]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent DE Trey Flowers (Lions) reached agreement on a contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to a source Sunday, Aug. 28. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Flowers will bolster the edge rush crew that includes standout Emmanuel Ogbah, who re-signed with the team in free agency this offseason, and 2021 first-round pick Jaelan Phillips, who looks like a rising star. Flowers can also hold his ground against the run, so he'll be able to help on early downs too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [NYJ - WR Denzel Mims shines in finale](=) Source: ESPN.com New York Jets WR Denzel Mims recorded seven catches for 102 yards and one touchdown in the preseason Week 3 win over the New York Giants on Sunday, Aug. 28. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mims wants a trade, and this could help build a market for his services. He won't garner more than a conditional late-round pick, which shows where his dynasty value is right now, but Mims obviously has the talent to make an impact if he ever gets an opportunity, so a trade, no matter how small the compensation, could get him back on our radar. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [LAR - Lance McCutcheon in line for spot?](=) Source: The Orange County Register - Gilbert Manzano Los Angeles Rams WR Lance McCutcheon has put himself in position to make the 53-man roster, according to general manager Les Snead. 'Lance is doing his part to make it easy,' Snead said. 'Sean likes his receivers, so it's OK to have as many as possible.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep McCutcheon on your deep dynasty radar. UDFAs who transcend falling out of the draft to force teams to keep them on the active roster rather than risk losing them when trying to slip them onto the practice squad can go on to big things. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [TEN - Nicholas Petit-Frere named starter]() Source: PaulKuharsky.com Tennessee Titans OT Nicholas Petit-Frere will be the starting right tackle to begin the season, general manager Jon Robinson said Saturday, Aug. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] 2021 second-round pick Dillon Radunz has been a huge disappointment, but Petit-Frere's rapid development from third-round pick in April to starter in August helps soothe the pain. The Titans have been throwing picks at right tackle for three years now. It looks like they've finally hit. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [CLE - S Grant Delpit exits with hip injury]() Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot Cleveland Browns S Grant Delpit (hip) exited the preseason finale against the Chicago Bears with a hip injury Saturday, Aug. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team said that Delpit would have returned if this wasn't a preseason game. Delpit has had a great summer and could be relevant in IDP leagues this year. He should be ready for the season opener against Carolina. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [TEN - Treylon Burks dealing with wrist injury]() Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (wrist) suffered a wrist injury Saturday, Aug. 27, against the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason finale. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burks was already looking like the third receiver on the depth chart. This wrist injury isn't serious, but it won't help speed up his development. If you draft Burks, be patient, as the production probably isn't coming right away. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [GB - Week 1 status of two GB linemen in question]( Source: NFL.com Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is uncertain if OG Elgton Jenkins (knee) or OT David Bakhtiari (knee) will be ready for the season opener because he has not seen either of them practice yet. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fortunately for the Packers, fourth-round pick Zach Tom has been a training camp revelation, and Yosh Nijman proved to be a viable replacement for Bakhtiari last year. The Packers offensive line can't afford another injury at tackle right now, but once their starters are healthy, they'll have the best depth at the position in the league.
