To win your dynasty leagues, you need to stay on top of players' perceived values. Here are some IDP players we think are no longer worth the price. [] INSIDE THIS ISSUE 1. [] 1. [KC - Juju Smith-Schuster the Chiefs' top WR target?]( Source: ArrowheadPride.com - Pete Sweeney Kansas City Chiefs WR Juju Smith-Schuster could be the second-most targeted player behind TE Travis Kelce, in the opinion of Arrowhead Pride's Pete Sweeney on Tuesday, Aug. 9. 'Speaking of Smith-Schuster -- Marquez Valdes-Scantling looked like he could be the go-to WR in OTAs, but at training camp, through my looks, it's been Smith-Schuster. I'm now tending to think he'll be the second-most targeted Chiefs pass-catcher behind TE Travis Kelce in 2022.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Chiefs have one of the most high-powered offenses in the league, and it's why Smith-Schuster could be a fantasy darling in 2022. If he's the no.2 option in the passing game behind Kelce, Smith-Schuster could prove to be a value pick. We like taking him off the board in the WR20-30 range, and if this buzz keeps up it might be closer to that 20 spot than the 30 spot. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [ARI - Arizona has big plans for WR Rondale Moore](=) Source: The Arizona Republic - Bob McManaman Arizona Cardinals WR Rondale Moore, who has repeatedly heard from head coach Kliff Kingsbury that he can expect to be more fully utilized across the offense this season, is also being hailed as a game changer who can give fits to opposing defense, according to receivers coach Sean Jefferson.'We've played him outside and we've played him inside, so he's gotten work at both the X and the H inside. You're going to see him in a bunch of positions, even in the backfield, coming out of the backfield. He's one of those guys who can do it all. He's quick, he's very sure-handed. He can separate in the break area, make guys miss after the catch. ... The offense is totally wide open for what he can do for us this year,' Jefferson said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The offense should have plans for a player like Moore. The second-year pro might be one of the most explosive players on the team...which is full of explosive players. Moore begins year two as a starting option opposite Marquise Brown. We'll see how A.J. Green gets worked into the mix again, and then we'll see how things shake up at the position when DeAndre Hopkins returns from his six-game suspension. We like drafting Moore in the WR45-55 range. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NO - QB Jameis Winston's foot not a big deal]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints QB Jameis Winston (foot) is doing well, and there's nothing to worry about, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for the Saints here. Winston is coming back from the knee injury that cut his 2021 season short, and all camp reports have been positive about his play. Now, as Winston recovers from this minor foot injury, Andy Dalton will be on the field with the first-team offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [PIT - Looking to Lighten the Load for RB Harris?]( Source: Mark Kaboly - The Athletic Mark Kaboly, from The Athletic, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers may be looking to lighten the workload for RB Najee Harris. Steelers RB coach Eddie Faulkner wants Harris to be off the field for seven extra snaps per game than in 2021. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Reports about Benny Snell indicate he could be getting a bit more short-yardage and goal-line carries. Harris is the centerpiece of what the team wants to do on offense, but he can't do it all. Expect Snell to give him a breather from time to time. Undrafted rookie RB Jaylen Warren has been building some buzz as well. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [ATL - Tyler Allgeier buried on depth chart](=) Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Scott Bair Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier was listed as the eighth running back on the team's initial depth chart Tuesday, Aug. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's nothing more ridiculous than putting a rookie running back who may end up taking over in the backfield as no.8 on the initial depth chart. Allgeier should begin his rookie season working in tandem (but behind) Cordarrelle Patterson. As the season goes on, Allgeier could see his role grow. Don't be too dismayed that the team puts him so deep on this initial depth chart when we all know he's likely to be the no.2 back in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NO - QB Jameis Winston day-to-day](=) Source: The Athletic - Jeff Duncan New Orleans Saints QB Jameis Winston (foot) is considered day-to-day after suffering a foot injury during practice Monday, Aug. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Saints are relieved this isn't a more serious issue. Winston is not expected to play in the preseason opener Saturday, Aug. 13, against the Houston Texans. We'll see Andy Dalton get the snaps with the first-team offense while Winston recovers. [] 7. [JAX - EJ Perry back to Jacksonville]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Free-agent QB EJ Perry (Jaguars) signed an undisclosed contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, Aug. 9. QB Kyle Sloter was released to make room for him on the roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perry was undrafted out of Brown University this year, and he initially signed with the Jaguars after the draft. He was released with a non-injury designation in late July but now finds himself back with the team. Perry is an athletic quarterback, and that skill set makes him worth monitoring but only if you play in crazy deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [CHI - ILB Roquan Smith requests trade](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Chicago Bears LB Roquan Smith requested a trade Tuesday, Aug. 9. The Bears offended Smith with a backloaded offer, which wouldn't make him the highest paid in actual salary, including proposed de-escalators that no player out of the 94 non-QB, $15-plus million players have. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith is under his fifth-year option, which would put him on the books for $9.7 million in 2022. A first-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Smith is one of the best in the game at his position and he wants to be valued as such. The Bears may have to trade him away before the start of the regular season if they don't want to pay up. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [KC - WR Justin Watson set to take off?](=) Source: NBC Sports - Peter King Kansas City Chiefs WR Justin Watson is a precise route-runner that the team's quarterbacks - including Patrick Mahomes - love throwing to, according to Peter King of NBC Sports. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A fifth-round pick out of Pennsylvania in the 2018 NFL draft, Watson was buried on the depth chart with the Buccaneers to start his pro career. Watson signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs over the offseason, and he's looking like a player to watch as we get through camp and the preseason. Fantasy GMs in super deep dynasty formats have been monitoring Watson - even though he has not done much in the pros - due to his skilled route running and consistent hands. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [JAX - EJ Perry returning to Jacksonville]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent QB EJ Perry (Jaguars) agreed to a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a source Tuesday, Aug. 9. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NO - TE Taysom Hill in non-contact jersey](=) Source: SaintsWire - Ross Jackson New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (ribs) was wearing a non-contact jersey during practice Monday, Aug. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hill is in a red jersey, not because he's playing quarterback again, but because he's dealing with this ribs injury. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [CLE - WR Jakeem Grant could have serious leg injury]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Myles Simmons Cleveland Browns WR Jakeem Grant (leg) was carted off the field after suffering an apparent left leg injury at practice Tuesday, Aug. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's an unfortunate injury for the quick veteran receiver. Grant was trying to make the team as a reserve receiver and special teams option.
