[KC - RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire confident in offseason](#8) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [TB - Tampa Bay adds TE Kyle Rudolph](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine Free-agent TE Kyle Rudolph (Giants) agreed to a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wednesday, July 20, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rudolph goes to the Buccaneers as a reserve behind starter Cameron Brate. Rookie Cade Otton has dynasty GMs excited as well. We could see Rudolph get some work in the red zone, essentially taking the place of retired TE Rob Gronkowski. There's not a lot of fantasy value here with Rudolph even though he's on a great team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SF - WR Deebo Samuel not close to deal?]( Source: NFL.com - Grant Gordon San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel's status for the start of training camp remains unclear, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network said Wednesday, July 20, and Pelissero said there is no deal imminent between Samuel and the 49ers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers don't have much cap space right now as they wait to see if they can trade away QB Jimmy Garoppolo and free up some money. At this time, the 49ers only have around $4.9 million in cap space and that's not enough to get Samuel a contract that makes him happy. There were rumblings about Samuel wanting to get traded, but 49ers GM John Lynch said he would be a fool to do such a thing. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ARI - QB Kyler Murray gets $230.5 million deal]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $230.5 million with $160 million guaranteed, according to a source Thursday, July 21. The deal adds five new years to Murray's current contract, tying him to Arizona through the 2028 season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Murray is now second in annual average salary for quarterbacks at $46.1 million. He's a dangerous playmaker when healthy, and Murray has been a fantasy favorite since he came into the league. Even though WR DeAndre Hopkins will miss six games due to suspension, Murray now has former college teammate WR Marquise Brown to throw to early and often. When healthy, Murray is a top fantasy quarterback but his small stature and reckless play style make injuries a concern for him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CLE - QB Josh Rosen Signs One-Year Deal With Cleveland](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Free-agent QBs Josh Rosen (Falcons) and AJ McCarron (Falcons) are among the players working out for the Cleveland Browns this week, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Thursday, July 21. It was later announced Rosen signed a one-year deal. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns don't appear to be interested in trading the 49ers for QB Jimmy Garoppolo. However, they are interested in free agent quarterbacks just in case. They are waiting for QB Deshaun Watson to get suspended by the league. When that happens, QB Jacoby Brissett will be their starter. [TB - Cade Otton good to go]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cade Otton (ankle) was cleared for the start of training camp Thursday, July 21. Otton missed organized team activities and minicamps while recovering from an ankle injury he suffered while playing for the University of Washington last November. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Otton could earn playing time in what should be a TEBC for the Buccaneers. He's going to work in a tight end room with veterans Cameron Brate and newly acquired veteran Kyle Rudolph. Otton dealt with injuries and inconsistent quarterback play in college at Washington, and many draft analysts believe his college receiving numbers aren't a true indication of his potential. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYG - Daniel Bellinger to PUP]() Source: New York Daily News - Pat Leonard New York Giants TE Daniel Bellinger (quadriceps) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Thursday, July 21. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bellinger is a rookie tight end who could build some hype around his game when healthy. In fact, some expect him to have a larger role than expected when healthy. Bellinger 'seems to be the starting favorite early on,' Dan Benton of Giants Wire writes. The fourth-round pick is expected to compete with free-agent acquisition and TE Ricky Seals-Jones. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [LVR - Las Vegas OK's two for camp]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Myles Simmons Las Vegas Raiders RB Kenyan Drake (ankle) and OL Denzelle Good (knee) were recently cleared for training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Drake is there to be the pass-catching back behind starter Josh Jacobs. He's got deep flex appeal in PPR formats, but both Jacobs and Drake could be pushed by rookie Zamir White for playing time. Let's see how this backfield shapes up in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [KC - RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire confident in offseason]( Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is confident that his first 'normal' offseason will aid his production in his third year. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Edwards-Helaire, a former first-round pick, has not yet played up to his potential in the pros. We'll see if things click better for him this season. He will have to compete with Ronald Jones and Jerick McKinnon for touches in the Chiefs backfield. He was the no.38 fantasy running back last season (standard-scoring leagues), and we like him in the RB30-RB35 range this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
