[] 1. [CHI - Mooney loves new offense]( Source: Dan Pompei - The Athletic Dan Pompei, of The Athletic, reports that the Bears plan to make #1 receiver Darnell Mooney a "moving target", sending him in motion or moving him from on ball to off-ball or outside to the slot. Mooney said he "loves" the offense, and that it "makes sense". Pompei also writes that offensive coordinator Luke Getsy is asking Mooney "to explode off the ball on every play, pass or run, so defenders don't get a read on play intention." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We could be collectively way too low on Mooney if he is up to the task of being a #1 receiver, Justin Fields is up to the task of being an NFL starting quarterback, and Getsy is up to the task of coordinating an NFL offense with probably the most underwhelming personnel in the league, at least at wide receiver. Mooney's quickness and speed are #1 receiver quality, and he has been relentlessly working out to get his undersized frame ready for #1 duties, bulking up to 183 from his combine weight of 176. Mooney put up 81-1055-4 in a dysfunctional offense last year, and his comment that the offense "makes sense" now hints at a lot of upside beyond those numbers, and not just because he could get more targets with Allen Robinson gone to join the Rams. [LAR - ILB Bobby Wagner expecting big year]( Source: NFL.com - Coral Smith Los Angeles Rams LB Bobby Wagner said he expects to thrive in his first year in the Los Angeles defense. 'I think that I'm in a better position to make plays and I think I'm going to have more opportunities to do some of the things that I was doing early on in my career,' Wagner said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Seahawks had to let Wagner go after he put together as good a career as any Seahawks linebacker in the history of the franchise, if not better. The five-year, $50 million contract he signed in Los Angeles was reasonable for a player who hasn't declined significantly. He fills a spot that has long been an issue in the otherwise stacked Rams defense. [] 3. [NE - White still walking with 'uncomfortable gait']() Source: Mike Reiss - ESPN Mike Reiss, of ESPN, reports that RB James White was "with what appeared to be an uncomfortable gait" after a community appearance on Wednesday, July 13. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rhamondre Stevenson has been focusing on the passing game this offseason, and White's condition after suffering a season-ending hip injury that required surgery back in Week 3 of the 2021 season. JJ Taylor could also vie for passing game work while White mends, but Stevenson is the back who becomes more interesting in fantasy drafts with an additional path to fantasy relevance this year, even if Damien Harris stays healthy. White is only guaranteed $500,000 on a two-year, $5 million deal, so he's not a lock to make the team despite his contributions to the Patriots over the years. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [BAL - TE Mark Andrews better without Lamar Jackson?]() Source: ESPN.com Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews averaged 11.4 targets in the five games that QB Lamar Jackson missed last season compared to 8.5 targets in the games Jackson played. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Andrews overtaking Travis Kelce in fantasy leagues last year was only because of the huge games he put up with Josh Johnson and Tyler Huntley at quarterback. Lamar Jackson could follow their lead and target Andrews heavily now that Marquise Brown is gone, but Andrews will also get more attention from defenses with no legitimate deep threat on the roster. If Andrews only performs as well as he did with Jackson last year, he won't justify his lofty ADP.
