Now that he's been throwing, the trade market for his services could start heating up. There's also talk that the 49ers could just keep him around as a high-priced backup to starter Trey Lance. It seemed like Garoppolo was as good as gone after the season last year, but there is a possibility that he stays as veteran insurance for a team who could push for another deep run in the postseason. With the addition of WR Russell Gage, it pushes guys like Miller further down the depth chart. We should see WR Chris Godwin ready for the start (the team is hopeful he will be ready), and that further clouds the future of guys further down the roster like Miller or Tyler Johnson.
