Now, the Panthers have Darnold as a high-priced backup and seem intent on having a quarterback competition in training camp. Seattle currently has Geno Smith as their top passer, but Drew Lock should get a chance to prove he should be the starter in training camp and the preseason. [ARI - WR Marquise Brown 'way ahead of the curve']( Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown is picking up the offense faster than expected ahead of training camp, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said. 'I'd say, comparatively speaking, if you're talking about a guy who didn't know the quarterback or didn't play in a similar system and didn't get to work out with him and hear the calls, see the signals, I would say he's way ahead of the curve when it comes to that,' Kingsbury said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's a good thing for the veteran receiver now reunited with his college QB Kyler Murray. He's got a current ADP of WR32 (7.02) and that could rise slightly as the season draws near. All it would take is a big play in the preseason for Fantasy GMs to get even more excited about Brown's fantasy potential in his first season with the Cardinals. [BAL - QB Jackson 'Tightening Up' His Throwing Motion]() Source: Eric D. Williams - Fox Sports Eric D. Williams, from Fox Sports, reports Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has worked this offseason to 'tighten up' his throwing motion. He has worked this offseason with throwing guru Adam Dedeaux in order to improve his passing mechanics. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] In addition to improved throwing mechanics, Jackson has also added muscle to his frame in order to stand up to the punishment of the NFL season. Last year, Jackson was banged up and missed five games due to injury. This year, Jackson is working to prove all the doubters wrong - again - about his ability as a quarterback. Without WR Marquise Brown, we'll see who Jackson is favoring (besides TE Mark Andrews) during training camp and the preseason in the passing game. [TB - WR Johnson on the Bubble?](=) Source: Nate Greer - Sports Illustrated Nate Greer, from Sports Illustrated, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Tyler Johnson could be left off the final roster. There are reports suggesting the team could trade away the third-year pro before the start of the regular season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Whether the Buccaneers trade Johnson or just flat-out release him, things look cramped on the roster this summer. Johnson has worked as a no.4 receiver for the Buccaneers over the last couple of seasons. A fifth-round pick out of Minnesota in the 2020 NFL draft, Johnson now has more competition for his roster spot. The Buccaneers already have guys like Scotty Miller and Breshad Perriman there to compete, but they added two UDFA WRs this year who could push for a spot in Jerreth Sterns (Western Kentucky) and Deven Thompkins (Utah State). If WR Chris Godwin is ready for Week 1 it makes things even more cramped for Johnson. He's got easy speed, and the rookie gets to top gear in a hurry. Nailor has good concentration and body control to adjust to off-target throws. He fell in the draft due to various injury problems in 2018, 2019, and 2021. If healthy, Nailor could prove to be a value pick for the Vikings...and that's why we appreciate him in dynasty. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Everyone wants to know who is going to emerge in the Chiefs wide receiving corps now that Tyreek Hill (Dolphins) is gone. Valdes-Scantling has done a great job of learning the offense really fast and has been making plays, according to QB Patrick Mahomes. Earlier reports have indicated Mahomes already has confidence throwing to Valdes-Scantling. It's a drumbeat for Fantasy GMs to pay attention to and continue monitoring during training camp. [SF - Jerry Rice confident in QB Trey Lance]() Source: KSBW 8 - Drea Blackwell San Francisco 49ers QB Trey Lance has the confidence of Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice. 'Trey Lance, I think he's ready to go,' Rice said. 'And I think he's incredible because he has that one aspect that Jimmy doesn't have, and that's the threat of running with the ball and stuff like that. So his mobility, his strong arm, and this guy, he's before his time.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lance has the coaching staff excited about his prospects as the starter. The thought is that they can run the full offense when Lance is up to speed with the language of the system. That's something they couldn't do with Jimmy Garoppolo as the starter. Lance has top-10 fantasy upside at the quarterback position, even if the playbook has to be limited for the young passer as he continues to learn the ropes. [TB - Hopeful WR Godwin Can Be Ready Week 1](=) Source: Adam Schefter - ESPN Adam Schefter, from ESPN, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hopeful that WR Chris Godwin will be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Previous reports have indicated there is no timetable for Godwin's return, and many have wondered if the veteran would begin the regular season on the PUP list. He's likely to begin training camp on the PUP list as a precautionary move, then we'll see what kind of progress Godwin can make. Don't expect to see him in the preseason, so we'll be monitoring the information and quotes the team has about Godwin during the month of August. If he's healthy in Week 1, that has fantasy implications for other Buccaneers - specifically WR Mike Evans.
