[GB - WR Julio Jones to land with Aaron Rodgers?]() Source: Bookies.com - Adam Thompson Free-agent WR Julio Jones (Titans) is favored to land with the Green Bay Packers, according to Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was QB coach in Atlanta in 2015-16, the two seasons Jones was first-team All-Pro. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The days of Julio Jones being an All-Pro wide receiver are long gone. It's a great story, and the headline looks good, but one must wonder how much Jones has left in the tank. If Jones lands with the Packers it's a boost compared to other teams because of QB Aaron Rodgers but also because without WR Davante Adams the Packers are looking for help at the position. We'll see if Jones lands anywhere before the start of training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NFL - More possible suitors for Odell Beckham Jr?](=) Source: Yahoo! Sports - Charles Robinson Free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) may have suitors in the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Green Bay Packers if he doesn't re-sign with the Los Angeles Rams, Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson speculates. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The speculation is that the Rams want to bring him back and are just waiting for Beckham to get healthy. The aforementioned teams are always brought up when there's a potential landing spot discussed for any veteran wide receiver still on the open market. Beckham is currently rehabbing a torn ACL and could be out until October or November. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DAL - Cowboys putting in extra work]( Source: Blogging The Boys Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, RB Ezekiel Elliott, WRs CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert, and TEs Dalton Schultz and Sean McKeon held a private practice session at the University of Miami on Saturday, July 2, in preparation for training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ah yes, right around the 4th of July we begin hearing about quarterbacks leading workouts away from the facility. They're usually offseason fluff pieces, but it is nice to see a team work together during the final chance they'll get to take some time off before training camp starts at the end of the month. [BUF - RB Devin Singletary hard to corral in 2021]( Source: Sports Info Solutions Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary forced 21 broken or missed tackles on his 203 carries in 2021, according to Sports Info Solutions. That total was tied for the seventh-best mark in the league. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills turned things over to Singletary last year down the stretch, and he helped Fantasy GMs win championships in 2021. Zack Moss is still there to split time with Singletary, but the Bills also added a new weapon in rookie RB James Cook. We should see Moss take a backseat to the rookie in the pecking order. Cook is great in space and can make defenders look silly. He should serve as a pass-catching back for the Bills offense, making Singletary a RB3/flex option this season. His current ADP of RB34 (7.09) reflects the addition of Cook. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - RB Javonte Williams the king of broken tackles]( Source: Sports Info Solutions Denver Broncos RB Javonte Williams forced a league-high 35 broken or missed tackles on his 203 carries in 2021, according to Sports Info Solutions. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams led the FBS in broken tackles his final season at North Carolina...and he was in a timeshare with Michael Carter when they played for the Tarheels. In his first season with the Broncos, Williams continued to be tough to bring down. He split time with Melvin Gordon as a rookie, but it sounds like the Broncos want to make him the featured back. Williams is getting drafted (RB11, 2.05) at or near his ceiling if he does take over...because Gordon will still get used and they've got Mike Boone too. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. We'll see you tomorrow with the Update.
