[BUF - QB Allen Working on Pass Placement]() Source: Maddy Glab - BuffaloBills.com Maddy Glab, from BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has worked this offseason on his pass placement. "Main thing is limiting turnovers....then ball placement on some of the underneath routes allowing guys to get more YAC." Allen said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills have a high-powered offense, but last year they did not rank very high in terms of yards after the catch. Getting more room to run for WRs Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Jamison Crowder (and others) will make this dangerous offense even more explosive in 2022. Allen's accuracy is more than fine, 63.3 percent last year (69.2 percent the year before that), but getting the ball on target to his receivers in stride where they can do more after the catch is the next step he needs to help get the Bills over the top. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CLE - RB Nick Chubb has rare efficiency]( Source: NFL.com - Jack Andrade Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb is the first running back in NFL history to average five-plus yards per carry on 100 or more carries in each of his first four seasons in the league. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Chubb is arguably the best running back in the game today. He's got a tremendous skill set as a runner, and he gets stronger as the game goes on. Chubb has to split time with RB Kareem Hunt this season, and that holds down some of his projected fantasy numbers. Oh yeah, the Browns may have QB Jacoby Brissett as their starter for most of the 2022 season and that doesn't help either. That being said, Chubb still has a current ADP of RB7 (1.11) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [PIT - George Pickens to have focused role?]() Source: The Athletic - Mark Kaboly Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens will likely be asked to fill the same role WR Martavis Bryant did in his rookie year, serving mainly as a red zone option and deep threat, in the opinion of Mark Kaboly of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pickens is a talented receiver and with the Steelers' track record for finding talent at the position, we are monitoring his career closely. He needs to stay healthy and missed time in college at Georgia (most recently with a torn ACL in 2021), but the talent is there for him to be a no.2 receiver in this league. Pickens is down the depth chart this season behind Claypool and Diontae Johnson. That means his fantasy potential in 2022 is low unless injuries strike on the depth chart above him. Keep the rookie on your waiver wire speed dial in re-draft leagues and horde his stock in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DAL - WR T.J. Vasher opens eyes](=) Source: ESPN.com - Todd Archer Dallas Cowboys WR T.J. Vasher received a lot of work in OTAs and minicamp and took advantage as others missed time due to injuries. 'He's made some really big-time flash plays, splash plays,' head coach Mike McCarthy said. 'He's had some really, particularly in the red zone, which you can see his ability down there. Big plays in scramble drills and things like that. I just think like any young player, particularly in his development, it's getting the details of the everyday situations.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Vasher is a HUGE target, measuring in at six-feet-six inches, and 215 pounds. Undrafted out of Texas Tech in 2021, Vasher has been a player we've been monitoring in deep dynasty formats. He's got a massive wingspan and can pluck the ball away from his body naturally, making him a great target on jump passes. Vasher is currently buried on the depth chart, but these types of reports (and his natural skill set) keep up watching him in deep dynasty. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NYG - Daniel Bellinger stands out](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants TE Daniel Bellinger caught the ball well in his work with the first-team offense this spring. He'll have a chance to win the starting job in training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's been a quiet drumbeat this offseason when it comes to the fourth-round rookie out of San Diego State. Earlier this year, ESPN's Jordan Raanan noted that Bellinger "should play immediately." He seemed to get better as his college career with the Aztecs went on, so we're excited about his pro prospects. Consider Bellinger a deep sleeper from a fantasy perspective this season, and keep an eye on his chemistry with QB Daniel Jones in training camp and the preseason. [NYJ - TE C.J. Uzomah missed minicamp](=) Source: The Athletic - Connor Hughes New York Jets TE C.J. Uzomah (undisclosed) missed June minicamp with an undisclosed injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Uzomah has talent but he's oft-injured and that's opened the door for others at the position. This report suggests TE Tyler Conklin "might be separating himself" as the favorite to start Week 1. Rookie TE Jeremy Ruckert is also there to compete for snaps this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [BUF - James Cook to have a role in 2022]() Source: The Athletic - Joe Buscaglia Buffalo Bills RB James Cook will likely be the team's third-down back in 2022 and could line up as a receiver in two-back sets, while also getting early-down touches to take pressure off projected starter, RB Devin Singletary, writes The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cook could have a big role for the team as a rookie. He's a player with a ton of speed who can take advantage of defenders - and make them look silly - in the open field. His current ADP is RB46 (10.05) in 12-team PPR leagues, and we like him as a handcuff to Singletary with flex appeal for Fantasy GMs in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [PHI - WR Quez Watkins forcing his way in](=) Source: ESPN.com - Tim McManus Philadelphia Eagles WR Quez Watkins made splash plays this spring that will likely force his way into the mix on offense. He made a 40-plus-yard grab that had QB Jalen Hurts break out into a dance after. The coaching staff talk him up every chance they get, believing he has the tools to be a highly productive receiver. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watkins has something you can't coach - speed - and that should be a big part of the way the Eagles use him in the offense. Last year, Watkins was a deep target on a team that didn't throw deep enough. Perhaps this season the Eagles will have more of an emphasis on launching some rockets in the direction of Watkins. He can have a big fantasy week on one play, so if used more in 2022 Watkins has some 'what the heck' flex value. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NYJ - TE Tyler Conklin pushing for lead role](=) Source: The Athletic - Connor Hughes New York Jets TE Tyler Conklin saw a majority of the first-team reps during minicamp and 'might be separating himself as the lead dog' at the tight end position, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] C.J. Uzomah and rookie TE Jeremy Ruckert have been missing time this offseason, opening the door for Conklin to do more. If healthy, the Jets could be implementing both Uzomah and Conklin in a TEBC - and that's not great for Fantasy GMs. We'll see if guys can get healthy, stay healthy and separate themselves in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [BUF - WR Isaiah McKenzie has early lead in slot](=) Source: ESPN.com - Alaina Getzenberg Buffalo Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie has an early lead for the slot receiver position, in the opinion of beat writer Alaina Getzenberg. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills have WRs Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis on the outside, but McKenzie has to beat out free agent veteran Jamison Crowder for the slot position. Per this report, it sounds like he's got a leg up in the competition. We'll see which one wins Cole Beasley's former job or if the Bills want a slot wide receiver by committee (SWRBC?) in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
