Carr also said he feels McDaniels is a 'genius' when it comes to scheming things up ... and getting the best out of his players.''The depth of the conversations that we're having is encouraging. It's fun for me. The best part of my game has always been the mental side. And that's how Josh is. He's a genius when it comes to scheming things up and teaching his system and getting the best out of his players. I feel like a better football player. And I've had a lot of great coaches. He's come in, he's seen those things, 'Wow, that's awesome. What about this, too? What about this here?' It's helping me grow. It's been really fun to be around him,' Carr said. In his second stint as a head coach (first coached the Broncos in 2009-2010), McDaniels should be more sure of himself as the top guy. That's great news for Carr...and so is the addition of WR Davante Adams. Right now, Carr is going off the board at QB16 (10.06) in 12-team PPR leagues, but the upside is there for him to finish as a QB1 in his first season under McDaniels. [ATL - QB Marcus Mariota 'far ahead' of Desmond Ridder]() Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein Atlanta Falcons QB Marcus Mariota is 'far ahead' of rookie Desmond Ridder entering training camp, in the opinion of ESPN's Michael Rothstein. 'Mariota appears to be far ahead of Ridder right now, and Atlanta brought Mariota in for a reason -- to be the starter at least in the short term because he has familiarity with what coach Arthur Smith wants in the offense. Plus, Mariota has looked sharp through OTAs,' said Rothstein. Well, anything is possible but most reports indicate Mariota is far enough ahead to begin the regular season as the starter. Now, could Ridder take over if/when Mariota struggles? Sure. We'll watch this situation, but the Falcons quarterback job is not one Fantasy GMs should be investing in this season. [WAS - Sam Howell likely QB3 in Washington]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell 'will be Washington's third quarterback (in 2022),' according to ESPN.com's John Keim. Howell was getting some first-round hype a couple of years ago in college at North Carolina, but his stock slipped and he fell to the Commanders in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft. He's a developmental quarterback we're going to watch in deep dynasty formats who loves to launch deep passes. This year, Howell is going to be the no.3 behind starter Carson Wentz and his primary backup Taylor Heinicke.
