[PIT - Connor Heyward looked the part in spring](#10) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [TEN - Treylon Burks missing practice 'definitely hurts'](=) Source: SI.com - John Glennon Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks missing offseason practices 'definitely hurts,' according to QB Ryan Tannehill. 'It definitely hurts, right, not to be out there,' Tannehill said. 'But I think everyone in the building is trying to do their best to prepare, even the guys that aren't out there - mentally, making sure they're staying up on their scripts, and the walk-throughs and the jog-throughs and learning from the full-speed reps on tape. That's all you can do at this point is to try to learn each and every way you can, and then when the time comes, you're able to step on the grass and it's time to go.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burks was a first-round pick for the Titans in the 2022 NFL draft, and he enters the league with a lot of hype and expectations around him. He's had arguably the worst offseason of any rookie, missing time in practice, having conditioning issues and problems with drops when he was out there. The Titans aren't going to fill the air with footballs in their run-heavy offense, so temper the expectations for the rookie. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [SF - Jimmy Garoppolo hoping for quick resolution]( Source: NFL Network - Mike Giardi San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) is hoping to be traded quickly once he shows he's able to make all the throws, per source. Garoppolo remains on schedule in his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery and is expected to start throwing in early July. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's no guarantee that Garoppolo is traded away. The team has to have been shopping Garoppolo and feeling out interest across the league this offseason. Nothing has happened yet, but Garoppolo is also still banged up. He should be back at training camp, so perhaps something will get done then. However, the 49ers could hold onto Garoppolo as veteran insurance behind projected starter QB Trey Lance. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [TB - Cade Otton the top TE option]( Source: Buccaneers.com - Scott Smith Tampa Bay Buccaneers fourth-round pick TE Cade Otton is the best option to be the starting tight end, in the opinion of beat writer Scott Smith. Otton dealt with injuries and inconsistent quarterback play at Washington, and many draft analysts believe his college receiving numbers aren't a true indication of his potential. He's also an above-average and willing blocker. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Otton will have to beat out TE Cameron Brate for the top spot on the Buccaneers depth chart. He's missed offseason workouts due to ankle surgery, so the team will ease him back into action. Otton will be eight months removed from surgery when training camp begins. The rookie has a ton of upside, but injuries held him back in college at Washington. No Buccaneers tight end is being drafted right now, so keep Otton on your waiver wire speed dial. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [IND - WR Parris Campbell made a statement in spring](=) Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells Indianapolis Colts WR Parris Campbell spent 'a good portion' of offseason workouts working with the first unit, according to ESPN.com's Mike Wells. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The regular drumbeat this offseason with the Colts is that Campbell has been impressing. We get it, Campbell has plenty of speed and can fly by defenders. Injuries and inconsistencies have kept him from playing up to his potential in the pros. With WR Michael Pittman taking away the attention of the defense, Campbell could set career-best numbers in 2022. As the team's primary slot receiver, Campbell has fantasy value but is currently going undrafted. Keep him on your waiver wire speed dial or take Campbell as a late-round flier in deeper leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - WR Jamison Crowder making push for main slot job](=) Source: ESPN.com - Alaina Getzenberg Buffalo Bills WR Jamison Crowder looked 'solid' during offseason work and 'might have found a good fit' in Buffalo, according to ESPN.com's Alaina Getzenberg. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crowder should be able to bounce back from a down season in his final year with the Jets in 2021. Now with the Bills, Crowder takes the place of Cole Beasley in the offense and will work underneath routes with WRs Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis on the outside. Crowder has some deep flex appeal in PPR formats, and he's got a current ADP of WR69 (14.06) in 12-team PPR leagues. [HOU - WR Nico Collins poised for second-year breakout?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop Houston Texans WR Nico Collins has a 'good grasp of this offense' and 'his talent is off the charts,' according to quarterback Davis Mills, who added the second-year receiver is a player that Houston needs to 'find ways to get the ball.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Collins certainly had flashes during his rookie campaign, catching 33 passes for 446 yards and one touchdown. This year, any sort of 'breakout' could include him pushing for 50 or so catches with around 650 yards and a few touchdowns. That's not incredible fantasy value, but Collins is a player we do appreciate in deep dynasty formats where we can continue watching his career grow. He's got a good connection with Mills, and that should help him continue to be an important part of the Texans offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [NE - WR Tre Nixon impressive during spring work](=) Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots WR Tre Nixon 'made an early case as a player to watch when training camp begins,' according to ESPN.com's Mike Reiss. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] When Reiss talks, all Fantasy GMs should listen. A seventh-round pick out of UCF/Ole Miss in the 2021 NFL draft, Nixon has speed to attack all three levels of the defense. He does little things well, like squaring his frame to the line and coming back to the quarterback, but Nixon had to work on his routes when he came out of college. The Patriots have mostly 'meh' wide receivers on the roster, but Nixon is a player we will monitor in deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NE - WR Julian Edelman talks potential comeback again](=) Source: I Am Athlete Retired WR Julian Edelman once again spoke about a potential return to the NFL. 'The amount of work I have to put into my body to train, to make me confident -- like, that's so much for the output because of the injuries, my knees, this, that. I'm not getting the same output,' Edelman said. 'So now that I've taken a year off and I'm not loading my body, compounding loads every single day, my body feels pretty straight, you know? I've gone and dabbled out and you go run routes. But then, you see when you run routes, the next day, like, all right, I'm not too bad, but I'm already like 10,000 reps behind I feel in my mind.' Edelman has previously said 'we'll see' when asked about a potential comeback and noted he would 'probably' play for the New England Patriots if he does return. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Edelman has talked about coming out of retirement a couple of times over the last month or so. We'll see if it actually comes to fruition and where Edelman winds up. We always thought he'd wind up with the Buccaneers to be reunited with QB Tom Brady, but staying with the New England Patriots is a possibility as well. First, let's see if Edelman does come out of retirement then we'll see where he goes. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [BAL - Isaiah Likely made strong first impression](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens TE Isaiah Likely 'impressed this offseason with his ability to get open and his large catch radius,' according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.'Watch out for this guy. He's going to be really good,' Ravens safety Tony Jefferson told reporters at the completion of spring workouts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Likely was one of the most impressive tight ends to come out in the 2022 NFL draft, so it's not a surprise he's impressing with the Ravens. Mark Andrews is their starter, and he's clearly a top tight end for Fantasy GMs so long as he's on the field. That means Likely will have to wait for his time to shine in the pros. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [PIT - Connor Heyward looked the part in spring](=) Source: ESPN - Brooke Pryor Pittsburgh Steelers TE Connor Heyward 'impressed in offseason workouts' and figures to be in a hybrid tight end/fullback role in an offense that values versatility in its skill players, according to ESPN.com's Brooke Pryor. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A sixth-round pick out of Michigan State in the 2022 NFL draft, Heyward is a player who can be moved around the formation. His role for the Steelers could vary on formations they're using, and his fantasy value is much lower than the value Heyward has to the offense if he makes the 53-man roster.
