[CHI - QB Justin Fields Improved Mechanics/Quicker Release]() Source: Jeremy Fowler - ESPN.com Jeremy Fowler, from ESPN.com, reports the Chicago Bears coaching staff has been encouraged by the improved mechanics and quicker release they've seen from second-year QB Justin Fields. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] According to the report, Fields is better when throwing on the run as well. Fields wasn't done any favors last season as a rookie working under former head coach Matt Nagy. Now, we'll get to see if he can build on the brief flashes he showed as a rookie in an offense that is much better suited for a player with his skill set. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [LAR - Odell Beckham Jr. could be out until November]() Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) might not be a full-go until October or November as he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, teams are telling ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. 'But Beckham could take his time here because talking to teams, they don't expect Beckham to be healthy until October or maybe even November, as far as 'full-go' back from that ACL,' Fowler said. 'So Beckham can take his time, maybe even wait until the first couple of weeks of the season, see who's hot, who needs a receiver. He will likely go to a contender.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Rams seem like the most likely destination for Beckham when he gets a new contract. The team knows his timetable and knows how he fits in with their offense. In an interview with The Athletic, Rams COO Kevin Demoff said the team is optimistic that they can get a deal done. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NE - QB Mac Jones Held Back Last Year]() Source: Jeremy Fowler - ESPN.com Jeremy Fowler, from ESPN.com, reports New England Patriots QB Mac Jones was "way too protected" in the Patriots offense in 2021. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones was a game manager last year as he learned the ropes in the NFL. This season - without OC Josh McDaniels - Jones should be asked to do more. The Patriots have a group of 'meh' wide receivers, so don't expect this offense to all of a sudden turn into the Greatest Show on Turf. Jones was bad on deeper throws last year and needs to keep taking positive strides as a passer. From a fantasy lens, you have much better options out there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [MIN - New Offense a Boost for WR K.J. Osborn?]() Source: Arif Hasan - The Athletic Arif Hasan, from The Athletic, reports the new offense for the Minnesota Vikings could be a boost for WR K.J. Osborn. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings have a much more modern look on offense under new head coach Kevin O'Connell. Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen are the top two wideouts for the team, but Osborn could have some flex appeal for Fantasy GMs in deeper formats given a more high-powered passing game. Osborn posted a 50/655/7 statline after missing his entire rookie season in 2020. He's currently going undrafted in 12-team PPR leagues, making him an intriguing late-round pick or put him on your waiver wire speed dial. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [JAX - RB James Robinson unlikely to be ready for camp?]( Source: The Florida Times-Union - John Reid Jacksonville Jaguars RB James Robinson (Achilles) is 'not likely' to be ready for training camp, John Reid of the Florida Times-Union reported on Friday, June 17. 'Etienne returning to full speed has a special significance considering starting running back James Robinson continues to rehab from a torn Achilles' tendon and is not likely to be ready for next month's training camp,' Reid wrote. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here, and we should see Robinson begin camp on the PUP list. Robinson refused to give a timetable for his return to the field but has returned to running on the practice field this month (although not at full speed). The Jaguars should ease him into action in the month of August. [HOU - To Lean on RB Marlon Mack Early On?]() Source: Aaron Reiss - The Athletic Aaron Reiss, from The Athletic, reports the Houston Texans could lean on RB Marlon Mack early in the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mack is the seasoned veteran in the Texans backfield, but rookie Dameon Pierce is going to push for playing time. Pierce could be one of those players who is a better pro than he was a collegian - and he flashed during his time at Florida (and at the Senior Bowl). Fantasy GMs are drafting Mack (RB53) and Pierce (RB55) around the same time (12th round) as they wait to see how this situation shakes out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [KC - Skyy Moore improving]( Source: The Associated Press - Dave Skretta Kansas City Chiefs WR Skyy Moore (hamstring) was 'still getting up to speed' during June minicamp, according to Dave Skretta of The Associated Press, but Moore did see reps with the first-team and second-team offenses. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore is one of the most underrated receivers in the 2022 NFL draft. If he plays up to his potential, NFL teams will rue the day they let Moore fall to the Chiefs. He's a detail-oriented player with strong hands and the ability to attack all three levels of the field. We love Moore in dynasty formats, and there is plenty of opportunity for him to have at least flex appeal in PPR re-draft leagues. Moore provides late-round value at his current ADP of WR64 (14.02) in 12-team PPR formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [LAR - WR Allen Robinson impressing]( Source: TheRams.com - Stu Jackson Los Angeles Rams WR Allen Robinson has impressed QB Matthew Stafford with his production growth in the offense thus far. 'I've been very, very impressed with his ability to grasp our offense, his role in our offense,' Stafford said. 'His understanding, even when he might miss something or mess something up, the reason is so sound on why he did something - he heard this and thought that, and I'm like, 'That's a great thought.' It's really productive growth for him in our offense. ' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson gets to play with the best quarterback he's ever had in his pro career. He will serve as the team's no.2 receiver opposite of Cooper Kupp, and Robinson has low-end WR1 upside for Fantasy GMs with his new team. His current ADP of WR32 (7.02) in 12-team PPR leagues won't be like that forever, and he should ascend into WR2 range during fantasy drafts in August. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [LAC - TE Everett Used in Different Ways]() Source: Daniel Popper - The Athletic Daniel Popper, from The Athletic, reports Los Angeles Chargers TE Gerald Everett could be used in a variety of ways this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We could see the Chargers use Everett all over the field to highlight his size/athleticism combination. Everett can be a real weapon for their offense, but he's fourth in the pecking order for targets behind WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and RB Austin Ekeler. His current ADP is TE20 (14.09) in 12-team PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for sharing a bit of your day with us. It's an honor. We'll see you tomorrow with the Update.
