[] 1. [ATL - QB Feleipe Franks working as TE]( Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein Atlanta Falcons QB Feleipe Franks has spent time working at tight end during individual drills at OTAs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's an interesting move but not overly surprising for the 2021 undrafted free agent. Franks is big (6-feet, 7-inches) and athletic, so he's got the natural athletic ability to play tight end (plus his brother Jordan plays TE for the Chiefs). The Falcons drafted Desmond Ridder in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft, and he's likely to be the primary backup to starting QB Marcus Mariota this season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CLE - QB Deshaun Watson lawsuit update]( Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson will face a 24th civil lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct when it is filed on Monday, June 6, according to attorney Tony Buzbee. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There has been no decision on any suspension for Watson, but he has met with league officials recently. Watson is allowed to practice with the team all the way to the start of the regular season if he is suspended. The Browns have QB Jacoby Brissett to start if/when Watson misses time. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [GB - QB Aaron Rodgers talks retirement plans]( Source: AtoZ Sports - Zach Ragan Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers recently went into detail about the possibility of retirement. 'I think about [retirement] all the time,' Rodgers said. 'The football part is the easy part... That's the joy. It's the other stuff that wears on you and makes you think about life after football. [Tom Brady] obviously set the bar so high with playing so many years, but I can definitely see the end coming.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With the structure of his contract, everyone knows the end is near for Rodgers. Earlier this offseason, Rodgers got a deal that pays him $150.8 million over the next three seasons. After those three seasons, he's likely to retire....so get ready to hear more about Rodgers' retirement until it actually happens. It's a shame a talented quarterback like him only has one ring, so it's on the Packers to try and get Rodgers more championships before he's done. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott has chip on shoulder]() Source: NFL.com - Coral Smith Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott said he has something to prove after he was hampered by injuries last season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Elliott needs to stay healthy and outperform Tony Pollard if he still wants to be the Cowboys workhorse back. They should use Pollard in tandem with Elliott, but if he's healthy the team has proven to use Elliott more near pay dirt. His stats may not be much more than they were last year in terms of rushing yards or receptions. If Elliott is the primary goal-line back and gets double-digit touchdowns that will boost his fantasy value. He's an RB2 in all formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BAL - RB Gus Edwards sitting at OTAs](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (knee) is not participating in organized team activities as he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. There is no timetable for Edwards' return to practice. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Just like J.K. Dobbins, Edwards is coming back from a knee injury that cost him the entire 2021 season. Both backs could begin training camp on the PUP list, but they might be ready for the start of the regular season. The Ravens signed Mike Davis earlier this offseason, and the veteran should get quite a bit of work leading up to Week 1 with Dobbins and Edwards still on the mend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [CLE - David Bell works with starters](=) Source: The Athletic - Zac Jackson Cleveland Browns WR David Bell has seen reps with the first-time offense during OTAs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. Many around the team have said he's in line for the slot role as a rookie. Bell was highly productive in college at Purdue, and his game is about strong hands and concentration. Camp reports indicate he's worked both outside and in the slot. He's a savvy pass-catcher who could end up being a trusted target for QB Deshaun Watson. [] 7. [HOU - John Metchie ahead of schedule](=) Source: Houston Chronicle - Brooks Kubena Houston Texans WR John Metchie (knee) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's good news for the rookie receiver. Metchie injured his knee in the SEC Championship Game last year and has been recovering since then. He is a fantastic route runner and the type of technician you normally don't see from a college receiver. He has already earned praise from WR Brandin Cooks, and Metchie should work as the no.2 receiver for the Texans when healthy. The expectation is that he'll be out there practicing during training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [JAX - RB James Robinson resumes running]() Source: Steinberg Sports Jacksonville Jaguars RB James Robinson (Achilles) has resumed running on the field as he continues his rehab, according to his representation. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson was shut down in 2021 late in the season due to this Achilles injury. He was injured last December, but the team has insisted that he'll be ready for the start of the regular season. We should see him worked into the mix at some point during training camp and the preseason, although Robinson should be limited. Second-year RB Travis Etienne has looked fantastic this offseason after missing his entire rookie year in 2021. When healthy, Robinson will work in tandem with Etienne as the Jaguars look to jump start their offense under new head coach Doug Pederson. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [IND - Indy 'definitely pushing' Alec Pierce]() Source: ColtsWire - Kevin Hickey The Indianapolis Colts are 'definitely pushing' WR Alec Pierce in the hopes he can secure a significant role in 2022. 'He's done a good job so he's going to have to compete for every snap, right? It's a very competitive group,' head coach Frank Reich said. 'But yeah, we're definitely pushing him. We're definitely pushing him and want him to compete to get in the mix and get on the field.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pierce can move the chains regularly, and it should not take him long to become a favorite target of QB Matt Ryan. He is not afraid to go over the middle and has what scouts call 'my ball' mentality. We'll be watching the rookie closely in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [CLE - One-year contract for D'Ernest Johnson]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Cleveland Browns restricted free-agent RB D'Ernest Johnson signed a one-year contract with the Browns Saturday, June 4, worth as much as $2.433 million. The deal includes $900,000 in guaranteed money. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson has talent and has thrived with a larger role, but that won't happen unless injuries hit on the depth chart in front of him like they did last season. As of now, Johnson is the no.3 RB for the Browns behind Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [LVR - RB Josh Jacobs still sitting with injury](=) Source: The Athletic - Tashan Reed Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (undisclosed) sat for a second straight week during organized team activities due to an undisclosed injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's the offseason, so there doesn't need to be any injury designation. When healthy, Jacobs will be the lead back in a RBBC with Kenyan Drake. We like him in the mid-RB2 range in your fantasy drafts, although some will take him off the board as a low-end RB1.
