[DET - Uphill battle for Jameson Williams?]( Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams (knee) isn't practicing with the team, and offensive coordinator Benjamin Johnson said it is 'going to be a challenge' to have Williams for the season when he is healthy enough to play. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams tore his ACL in the National Championship Game, and he's been recovering ever since. All reports have been positive about his recovery, but expect the Lions to ease him into action when he's ready to resume practicing at some point (perhaps) in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NYJ - QB Zach Wilson struggles Wednesday]( Source: Pro Football Network - Mike Kaye New York Jets QB Zach Wilson struggled with accuracy in the practice session Wednesday, June 1. His first four passes were off the mark before he made three throws over the middle. He looked poised and confident in the pocket on the throws that didn't include pressure. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lack of poise when playing under duress was the top concern for Wilson during his college career at BYU. The Jets have put more weapons around Wilson this season, and he simply needs to play better. It's super early - we're not even to mandatory minicamp - but Wilson is nearly in a make-or-break season. Yes, it's only his second season in the NFL but the Jets have already tried to upgrade the position but have fallen short (they were rumored to be interested in Russell Wilson). The young passer needs to play better this year or else the team will do more to replace him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [MIN - WR Justin Jefferson expects dynamic offense in 2022]() Source: USA TODAY Sports - Jori Epstein Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson recently told USA TODAY Sports that the Vikings had an 'old-style offense' last year. He added that 'adding new things to the offense definitely allows us to ... work in different areas of the fields' and be 'very less predictable.''For so long the game kind of became this condensed game where everybody was building things, the marriage of the run and the pass,' O'Connell says. 'But as times kind of moved forward, I think spreading the field out (and) not playing the game in a phone booth has been a productive thing for some offenses. Putting the game in the quarterback's hands a little more, trying to run some premier plays versus premier looks. And really, when in doubt, trust space-rhythm-timing of offenses to hold you true to your core and what you're trying to get accomplished,' head coach Kevin O'Connell told USA TODAY Sports Jori Epstein. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] O'Connell is going to bring an exciting offense to the Vikings this year. Jefferson is going to be the key piece of the passing game, and O'Connell has said that the superstar receiver will be moved around more to make his usage less predictable. He's a no-brainer top-5 fantasy wide receiver, and it wouldn't surprise if Jefferson ended up as the best at his position in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [NO - WR Landry 'Dominating' OTAs](=) Source: Nick Underhill - NewOrleans.Football Nick Underhill, from NewOrleans.Football, reports New Orleans Saints WR Jarvis Landry has been dominating during OTAs and his presence has been felt during practices. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a note for Fantasy GMs to pay attention to. Yes, it's June and it's not even mandatory minicamp but it's interesting to note that Landry is making the most of his fresh start with a new team. With WR Michael Thomas still coming back from the ankle injury that cost him most of the last two years, Landry could be a sneaky good addition to your fantasy team (PPR formats) late in the draft. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [WAS - WR Curtis Samuel will do it all]( Source: NBC Sports Washington - Bijan Todd Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel 'can play everywhere' in the offense, according to offensive coordinator Scott Turner said. 'We did some of that stuff last year in the limited time he was on the field,' Turner said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Samuel is there as the no.3 receiver with the ability to thrive after the catch. From a fantasy perspective there may not be much there for Samuel behind WRs Terry McLaurin and rookie Jahan Dotson. [BUF - Buffalo adds WR Tavon Austin]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo Free-agent WR Tavon Austin (Jaguars) is signing with the Buffalo Bills Thursday, June 2, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Austin is a gadget player who hasn't done much no matter where he's been with four teams over the last four seasons. Perhaps the Bills will use him as a return man in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CAR - DT Derrick Brown noticeably trimmer]() Source: Panthers.com - Darin Gantt Carolina Panthers DL Derrick Brown has 'leaned out' - in the words of head coach Matt Rhule - and focused on eating healthier this offseason, which has led to him showing up to voluntary workouts around 320 pounds - down from the 330-plus pounds he carried at times last season.'He's really stepped up in terms of his progress and development this offseason. He came here to OTAs in shape. He worked out here for a long time. Has made a lot of great changes to his diet. I can't tell you what they are. He just looks good. He's leaned out. He's moving really well right now and playing really well,' Rhule told the team's website. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DAL - WR Washington Could 'Shine' in 2022]( Source: Mike Kaye - Pro Football Network Mike Kaye, from Pro Football Network, reports Dallas Cowboys WR James Washington could 'shine' in the team's offense this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We could see Washington start opposite of CeeDee Lamb, but that depends on the health status of WR Michael Gallup as he comes back from the ACL injury he suffered in Week 17. He flashed during his time with the Steelers, but we're not going to say he will 'shine' with the Cowboys. Watch to see what Washington looks like in the preseason before considering him as a late-round stash for your fantasy team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PHI - OC Steichen To Continue Calling Plays](=) Source: Jeff McLane - Philadelphia Inquirer Jeff McLane, from the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles OC Shane Steichen will continue calling plays in 2022. Head coach Nick Sirianni said that the midseason change last year played a vital role in the offensive turnaround. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Steichen took over playcalling duties last year around the midpoint of the season, and he implemented a run-heavy offense to help QB Jalen Hurts (who was struggling when the Eagles were trying to be pass-happy). With the addition of WR A.J. Brown, it will be on Hurts to be better when it comes to his passing skill. However, the Eagles should still run the ball early and often - just expect a slight uptick in the passing game if Hurts shows strides in that department.
