It's not really surprising given how Rodgers has approached voluntary workouts in the past. We're interested to see how this offense looks without Rodgers' favorite WR Davante Adams. [WAS - WR Terry McLaurin skipping workouts]( Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin was not present for the start of offseason workouts Monday, May 23, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here really. McLaurin is waiting for a new big-money contract, and the team wants to get something done. However, in their team history any sort of contracts done like McLaurin's usually are wrapped up right before training camp. We'll see if McLaurin participates in mandatory workouts next month. [WAS - RB Antonio Gibson's usage to vary weekly?](=) Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Commanders RB Antonio Gibson is expected to see high volume, but his usage could vary on a weekly basis, in the opinion of ESPN's John Keim. 'But more teams are using multiple backs to split the workload and incorporate more sub packages. That's why Washington wanted [Brian] Robinson. And it's why Gibson's touches should remain high (he ranked fourth in the NFL with 300 last season), though his usage could vary weekly.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs need to take note here. Commanders head coach Ron Rivera likened Gibson and Robinson to the Panthers former backfield of D'Angelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Add in J.D. McKissic as their pass-catching back and you can see how things will be complex in the Washington backfield. Gibson is an RB2 with upside, Robinson has flex appeal and McKissic has PPR 'what the heck' flex appeal in what should be one of the most run-heavy offenses in the league. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey won't play during preseason]() Source: The Athletic - Joe Person Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey will not play at all during the preseason, according to comments made by head coach Matt Rhule on Tuesday, May 24. Rhule also noted the team is 'looking into taking a different approach' with McCaffrey during practices moving forward. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With only 10 games played over the last two seasons, it's wise for the Panthers to take a different approach. McCaffrey still has the skill to be one of the most dangerous players in the league with the ball in his hands. However, the team used him up in previous seasons and his body has been broken. He's healthy now, and the Panthers don't need to give him any exposure to unnecessary punishment. [ARI - RB Darrel Williams headed to Arizona](=) Source: Jordan Schultz Free-agent RB Darrel Williams (Chiefs) reportedly agreed to terms on an undisclosed contract with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, May 24. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams has good size and can grind down a defense between the tackles...kind of like Cardinals starter James Conner. We'll see if Williams can beat out rookie Keaontay Ingram for the no.2 spot on the depth chart. Robinson is underrated in most fantasy circles at this moment, but that could change with training camp reports and a big catch in the preseason. Yes, Robinson is the no.2 receiver to Cooper Kupp but he's playing with the best quarterback he's ever had and is a WR2 with upside for Fantasy GMs this season. [CAR - QB Darnold Confident in His Abilities](=) Source: David Newton - EPSN.com David Newton, from ESPN.com, reports Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold said he is "confident" that he "can be one of the best quarterbacks in the league." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Is that league the USFL? In all seriousness, it's good that Darnold is confident but the fact of the matter is that he's not played up to his potential in the pros with a couple of teams and is looking more and more like a first-round bust. The Panthers are still interested in upgrading the QB position if they can, perhaps in the market to trade for QB Baker Mayfield. [MIA - QB Tua Tagovailoa making an impression](=) Source: Pro Football Network - Adam Beasley Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa 'has impressed coaches and teammates this spring with his improved arm strength and command of the locker room,' according to Adam Beasley of Pro Football Network.'What have I seen from (Tagovailoa)? I've seen a guy that's attacking the moment, a guy that really likes to play football. ... I've been very excited about his development as far as the offensive plan and being the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins,' head coach Mike McDaniel told Beasley. The Dolphins have put more talent around him, and new head coach Mike McDaniel is going to feature a run-heavy offense that sets up play-action passing. This should help out Tagovailoa as he needs to show he can be the franchise quarterback the Dolphins envisioned when they picked him in the first round a few years ago. [IND - Ty'Son Williams signs with Indianapolis](=) Source: Colts.com Free-agent RB Ty'Son Williams (Ravens) signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Tuesday, May 24. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Colts have been looking for running back talent behind Jonathan Taylor. They signed Phillip Lindsay last week, and now they decide to pick up Williams. He flashed a bit last year with the Ravens and could produce if given a larger role due to injuries in the backfield - if he gets better at pass protection.
