[CLE - Decision on QB Watson Could Be in June](=) Source: Mary Kay Cabot - Cleveland Plain Dealer Mary Kay Cabot, from the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the NFL could make a decision on a possible suspension for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson in June or July. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This sounds about right, and it's a timetable that most expected. Watson was interviewed by the NFL last week, and there is likely to be a second round of interviews in the near future. Once that happens, the league will make an announcement on any possible suspension. There are still 22 pending civil lawsuits against Watson, but the NFL could decide to suspend him based on him violating the NFL personnel conduct policy. The Browns have Jacoby Brissett to start if/when Watson is suspended. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - WR Amari Rodgers gaining confidence]() Source: PackersWire - Zach Kruse Green Bay Packers WR Amari Rodgers is gaining confidence ahead of his second season, wide receivers coach Jason Vrable said. 'He's taking those steps right now. I feel really good about Amari,' Vrable said. '[Randall Cobb] bumped me the other day and was like, 'Yo, you can feel it from him.' I just smiled. It's just the start right now.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rodgers, a third-round pick out of Clemson in the 2021 NFL draft, is buried on the Packers depth chart but he's got ability with the ball in his hands. He played 103 snaps last year on offense, and Rodgers finished his rookie season with just four catches for 45 yards. He's a slot receiver, return man and gadget player who was underutilized last season. Rodgers has plenty of talent ahead of him on the depth chart, so a larger role may not be in the cards for him in 2023. However, in dynasty formats we'll still keep track of him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NE - RB White Cleared for Practice]( Source: Zack Cox - NESN Zack Cox, from NESN, reports New England Patriots RB James White (hip) was cleared for on-field drills at offseason workouts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This hip problem had kept White bedridden for months. He had offseason surgery to repair this hip problem, but White is able to return to practicing now. The seasoned veteran doesn't need every rep, but he does need to show he's not slowed down by this hip problem. We imagine they'll keep White somewhat limited in the offseason, but he should be a full go by the time training camp starts. [ARI - Rookie RB Ingram Could be No.2 Back]() Source: Kevin Parrish Jr. - AZCardinals.com Kevin Parrish Jr, from AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals rookie RB Keaontay Ingram is a candidate to replace Chase Edmonds as the Cardinals' No.2 running back behind starter James Conner. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Both Matt Waldman and Cecil Lammey had Ingram as a sleeper prospect in this draft class, and Ingram did put on a show for scouts during the week of practice for the East-West Shrine Bowl earlier this year. Ingram is built like Conner because he's a big back who can live between the tackles. He's also a better receiver out of the backfield than some think. We are certainly monitoring him in dynasty formats, and Fantasy GMs in redraft leagues with plenty of bench space could tag Ingram as the primary handcuff to Conner in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NE - Concern from Players About New Offense?]() Source: Greg Bedard - Boston Sports Journal Greg Bedard, from Boston Sports Journal, reports New England Patriots player have been "alarmed" with what they've seen from the team's offensive coaching staff and lack of direction on offense "There is a high-level of concern about what is going on with the Patriots." Bedard said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is an...interesting report to be sure. It's also the kind of talk you hear in May so take it with a grain of salt. The Patriots have not named an offensive coordinator to replace Josh McDaniels. Most think Joe Judge or Matt Patricia will be responsible for playcalling duties...which is also interesting because both are defensive-minded (and special teams) coaches (and failed head coaches). We'll see what this means for QB Mac Jones and the Patriots as they navigate the post-Brady era. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYG - WR Kadarius Toney had minor knee procedure]() Source: New York Daily News - Pat Leonard New York Giants WR Kadarius Toney (knee) had a 'minor arthroscopic knee procedure' during the offseason, per sources, but is expected to be ready to go by training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Toney ruffled some feathers on the new staff when he didn't report for 'voluntary' workouts earlier this month. Things have smoothed over since Toney showed up and has been impressing the staff on and off the field. Giants OC Mike Kafka said Toney was "doing all the right things." Toney has plenty of flex appeal for your fantasy team if he stays healthy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and we'll see you tomorrow with the Update.
