[NYG - WR Kadarius Toney making a favorable impression](#5) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [NYG - RB Barkley Could Catch a Ton of Passes]() Source: Dan Duggan - The Athletic Dan Duggan, from The Athletic, notes from New York Giants OTAs that RB Saquon Barkley could catch 'a ton' of passes out of the backfield in the Brian Daboll offense. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We've seen Barkley catch a ton of passes - when he was a rookie and snared 91 passes in 2018. It's doubtful he ever matches that production again, but 50 catches is something he should easily do if he stays healthy. We're excited about Daboll's offense with the Giants, and Barkley is in a make-or-break season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [WAS - Jahan Dotson contract update]() Source: Pro Football Network - Aaron Wilson Updating a previous report, Washington Commanders first-round draft choice WR Jahan Dotson signed a four-year contract worth $15.048 million on Wednesday, May 18. The deal includes a fifth-year team option and a signing bonus of $8.124 million. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dotson makes defenders look silly in the open field with his quickness. He has moves on top of moves when he's toting the rock. Dotson is undersized, but he's got strong hands and can make difficult catches seem routine. Washington needed another threat at the wide receiver position opposite of Terry McLaurin, and Dotson will get plenty of single coverage he can take advantage of. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [CHI - Transitioning to Run-Heavy Offense]( Source: Adam Jahns - The Athletic Adam Jahns, from the Athletic, reports the Chicago Bears are transitioning into a run-heavy team with the outside zone. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With second-year QB Justin Fields under center, the Bears want to run the ball to set things up for their young quarterback. That means they're going to lean on David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert early and often. At this time, Montgomery is going off the board at RB13 (2.10) in 12-team PPR leagues. Herbert is currently not getting drafted, but he's an important handcuff to Montgomery if you have the bench space. He also might get on the field enough for 'what the heck' flex value. [NYJ - Garrett Wilson contract particulars]() Source: Pro Football Network - Aaron Wilson Updating a previous report, New York Jets first-round pick WR Garrett Wilson signed a four-year contract worth $20.554 million on Wednesday, May 18. The deal includes a fifth-year team option and a $12.128 million signing bonus. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Wilson can flat out fly, and that's what the Jets are going to ask him to do. He's there to get open deep, but he can take short passes and turn them into long gains. Wilson reminds some in the scouting community of CeeDee Lamb because of his speed, body control and concentration. The Jets have put more weapons around QB Zach Wilson, and Garrett Wilson could be a favorite. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NYG - WR Kadarius Toney making a favorable impression]( Source: NJ.com - Zack Rosenblatt New York Giants WR Kadarius Toney has been 'great to work with' so far, according to offensive coordinator [Mike Kafka](=).'He's been really attentive in meetings. He's doing all the right things on and off the field. I love his personality. He's one of those guys that brings a smile to the room. He has a bright personality. He's been great to work with,' Kafka told NJ.com before practice on Thursday, May 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Earlier this offseason, things looked dire for Toney and the new staff with some speculating the team would move him via trade. Now, all things are trending in a positive direction. Toney has fantastic playmaking ability and can move the chains when healthy. We'll see if the new staff continues to enjoy what they see from the second-year receiver.
