Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated adds the NFL meeting with a player usually means the league is wrapping up its investigation, but it isn't clear if a ruling will be made by the NFL before Watson's 22 civil cases reach a conclusion. There have been questions about whether any suspension would be served this year or next year. The Browns have QB Jacoby Brissett to start if/when Watson misses time. At some point, the Titans will realize that Tannehill can only take you so far - and there's certainly a chance they've already peaked with him at quarterback. Willis is an exciting rookie because of his rocket arm and incredible athleticism. However, he needs a lot of work when it comes to making pro decisions as a passer. That means Tannehill is their guy this season - likely for the whole season - with Willis getting an opportunity in 2023 to push for the starting job. [NO - QB Drew Brees joking about comeback?](=) Source: The Athletic - Nick Underhill Retired QB Drew Brees hinted that a comeback was possible while addressing his future on Sunday, May 15, following reports saying he was done as a broadcaster with NBC. 'I may work for NBC, I may play football again, I may focus on business and philanthropy, I may train for the pickleball tour, senior golf tour, coach my kids or all of the above. I'll let you know,' Brees tweeted. However, New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen believes Brees wasn't serious about unretiring. 'I think the comment was made in jest,' Allen said. 'Not play, just retire, so we clear,' Brown tweeted on Monday, May 16. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It sounds like Brown is coming to grips with the fact he's not going to play in the NFL again. The last news we had on him was a couple of months ago when Brown told TMZ Sports that he will not have ankle surgery unless a team commits to signing him. Well, he's been out there on the open market with little to no interest. If the Steelers wanted, they could sign Brown - a sixth-round pick for them out of Central Michigan in the 2010 NFL draft - to a one-day deal so he could retire with the team.
