[MIA - No Limit Vertically for Offense](#11) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [SF - San Francisco waiting to trade Jimmy Garoppolo]( Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo could be traded right before training camp when he's cleared from his offseason shoulder surgery, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. 'Garoppolo's shoulder is slated to get the all-clear in late June or early July, at which point the Niners will again seek a trade partner,' Wagoner writes. He also doesn't rule out Garoppolo being released if a trade can't be reached. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers are being patient with Garoppolo, and it may pay off for them with an asking price they're looking for. Rumors have swirled they want a first-round pick for the veteran quarterback, but they may have to settle for a Day 2 pick. Garoppolo has a $26.9 million cap hit in 2022 and is set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2023. He underwent shoulder surgery earlier this year but he believes he will be ready for training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [KC - Targets up for grabs in KC]( Source: CBS Sports The Kansas City Chiefs have the second-highest percentage of 2021 targets to replace thanks to offseason departures, which could lead to WR Skyy Moore making an instant impact, CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso notes. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore is one of the most exciting wide receivers in this draft class, and the rest of the NFL may rue the day they let him fall to the Chiefs in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. He's tough to bring down after the catch and has good speed to break off big plays. We'll see how quickly it takes Moore to learn the pro game, but in that explosive offense he could flash as a rookie and in the future become a favorite target for QB Patrick Mahomes. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [TEN - Targets up for grabs in TEN]( Source: CBS Sports - Chris Trapasso The Tennessee Titans have a league-high 67 percent of 2021 targets to replace thanks to offseason departures, which could benefit WR Treylon Burks, CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso notes. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If they think Burks can do that as a rookie, the Titans will be thoroughly disappointed. Burks is good, and he's certainly strong after the catch but he's not A.J. Brown or Deebo Samuel - players he was regularly compared to at Arkansas. Over 68 percent of his passes came within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, so Burks benefited from quick slants and wide receiver screens. We'll see how the Titans use him as a rookie - and he certainly has talent - but expectations need to be tempered a bit. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CAR - QB Baker Mayfield still an option for CAR](=) Source: CBS Sports HQ - Josina Anderson The Carolina Panthers haven't closed the door on trading for Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield but aren't in a rush or feeling pressed to acquire him, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Panthers are trying to find an upgrade from QB Sam Darnold, and some thought they'd make a move for Mayfield during the 2022 NFL draft. Instead, the draft came and went with Mayfield staying with the Browns. The Panthers did select QB Matt Corral (Ole Miss) in the third round, but he's more of a developmental guy who might take a year or two to get up to speed in the NFL. We'll see if the Panthers eventually make a move for Mayfield later this offseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CHI - Chicago adding QB Nathan Peterman]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Free-agent QB Nathan Peterman (Raiders) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears Wednesday, May 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A bust in the NFL but a favorite of former Raiders HC Jon Gruden, Peterman now gets a chance with the Bears. He'll be a camp arm for the Bears behind starter Justin Fields and veteran backup Trevor Siemian. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NE - WR Nelson Agholor talks future with NE](=) Source: WEEI.com New England Patriots WR Nelson Agholor says he isn't focused on living up to his two-year, $26 million contract. 'I don't focus on that,' Agholor said. 'I'm here for a reason and I love the opportunity that's given to me to be a Patriot, to work hard and the best part about it is in year two in the Patriots system is when guys really get going. I feel comfortable and I'm excited to have my best season with the Patriots and show why I'm here.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Agholor didn't post the numbers last year that he did with the Raiders in 2020, so Fantasy GMs have moved on. The Patriots are trying to find more weapons around QB Mac Jones, and that's why they moved up for Baylor WR Tyquan Thornton in the second round. Thornton is a downfield speed guy, which is what Agholor could do if asked..but he needs much better chemistry with Jones in order to produce in any sort of fantasy relevant way. [MIN - Nick Muse agrees to terms](=) Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson Minnesota Vikings TE Nick Muse has agreed to terms on a four-year, $3.77 million rookie contract, according to a source. The seventh-round pick, who is expected to officially sign the deal on Thursday, May 12, will get a signing bonus of $106,933 and will count as $731,733 against Minnesota's cap in 2022. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Muse is a late-round pick who is likely bound for the practice squad if he can impress. In college at South Carolina (transferred from William & Mary) Muse showed he can attack all three levels of the defense as a receiver. He's a competitive blocker and could be a nice "Y" tight end for the Vikings but likely is never going to be a starter or primary target at the position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [NO - NO releasing RB Josh Adams]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo New Orleans Saints RB Josh Adams is set to be released, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported on Wednesday, May 11. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With the addition of Abram Smith (Baylor) as a priority free agent after the draft, the Saints could comfortably move on from Adams. The big-bodied veteran could find a new landing spot with a team in need of a power back. He flashed a bit years ago with the Eagles (2018) but has bounced around to a few teams since then. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - KJ Hamler on track for camp]() Source: The Denver Post - Kyle Newman Denver Broncos WR KJ Hamler (knee) said he is ahead of schedule with his recovery and should be ready for training camp and the start of the regular season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hamler is coming back from knee and hip surgery. He's got the speed to blow by defenders quickly, and now he's got a superstar quarterback throwing him the ball. Hamler is no.4 on the Broncos depth chart, so he's more of a dynasty stash (and maybe a guy we have to wait for until he gets to a second team) than a guy you would consider in redraft leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [BAL - RB Mike Davis contract update]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Baltimore Ravens RB Mike Davis signed a veteran salary benefit deal that will pay him $1.2 million over one year, with a signing bonus of $152,500. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Davis wasn't out on the open market for that long (about a week), and the Ravens are a great landing spot for the veteran power back. He'll get plenty of work in the offseason with both JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards recovering from the ACL injuries they suffered in 2021. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [MIA - No Limit Vertically for Offense]( Source: David Furones - Miami Sun-Sentinel David Furones, from the Miami Sun-Sentinel, reports Dolphins OC Frank Smith said the offense will not be limited vertically through the air. Smith also relayed that he's "optimistic" about what he's seen from QB Tua Tagovailoa's arm strength. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith is crafting the new offense for the Dolphins, and he should include plenty of downfield looks for WR Tyreek Hill. Fantasy GMs should consider Hill a WR1 as per usual...just don't expect him to light it up the way he did with the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has a rocket arm and is a much better downfield passer than Tagovailoa. At this time in 12-team PPR leagues, Tagovailoa has an ADP of QB18 (11.10) and Hill has an ADP of WR6 (2.05).
