[ARI - WR DeAndre Hopkins given six-game ban]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins was suspended for six games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs Monday, May 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good thing the Cardinals traded for WR Marquise Brown during the 2022 NFL draft. He'll take over as the no.1 wide receiver and is already a favorite target of QB Kyler Murray as they were teammates in college. A.J. Green will be on the outside and Rondale Moore will be in the slot. Add in 2022 second-round pick TE Trey McBride and Murray will still have a surplus of weapons in the passing game. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [KC - WR Justyn Ross signs with Chiefs](=) Source: Jordan Schultz Undrafted free-agent WR Justyn Ross (Clemson) signed an undisclosed, three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs Monday, May 2. Ross led the ACC in receiving as a freshman in 2018, ranked fifth nationally with 21.7 yards per catch, and was second in receiving touchdowns. A spinal injury put his career in jeopardy in 2020. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ross was graded as a mid-round prospect by some of the best in the scouting community, but it comes down to medicals with him and that's why he fell undrafted. He might have the largest catch radius of any wide receiver in this draft class, and Ross certainly knows how to high-point catches with arms fully extended away from defenders. With the Chiefs, Ross is certainly a player we'll monitor in super deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ATL - RB Mike Davis released](=) Source: Jordan Schultz Atlanta Falcons RB Mike Davis was released Monday, May 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Falcons added BYU running back Tyler Allgeier in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft, and he brings plenty of power to the field. The rookie will mix in with Cordarrelle Patterson and free-agent addition Damien Williams to construct the Falcons backfield. Add in the Falcons salary cap woes, and you can see why this move was a cost-cutting one. Davis provides veteran experience and three-down ability which should get him some interest on the open market. [CAR - Matt Corral's issues scared teams](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Carolina Panthers third-round pick QB Matt Corral scared teams with his admitted issues with depression and alcohol, and he didn't interview well. The Panthers loved his skill set on tape. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Corral was described by some as a "party boy" quarterback, and that was a concern for some teams. He's been through a lot as a young man, and Corral has fought hard to get where he's at as a quarterback. Corral has all the tools of a modern quarterback -- athleticism, arm strength, and guile -- and could turn into a quality starter for the Panthers. He plays with little regard for his safety, and that's why injuries are a concern with him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [LVR - RB White a Future Starter?]() Source: Vic Tafur - The Athletic Vic Tafur, from The Athletic, believes Las Vegas Raiders rookie running back Zamir White could be a starter for the team in 2023. New Raiders GM Dave Ziegler is schooled in the "Patriots Way" and that means being cost effective at the running back position. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] White could be a future starter for the Raiders, but this season he'll work as a backup to Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake. With Jacobs in the final year of his contract, the team is likely to move on from the 2019 first-round pick. White has talent and runs with intent and swiftness, but he's got to stay healthy to reach his full potential in the pros (durability is a concern for him). [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [NYJ - 1-2 Punch at RB with Hall and Carter]() Source: Connor Hughes - The Athletic Connor Hughes, from The Athletic, believes the New York Jets will use rookie Breece Hall and second-year RB Michael Carter as a 1-2 punch this season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Carter is too good to ride the bench now that the team selected arguably the best running back in the 2022 NFL draft. Hall brings power to the field, and he's built to handle a large workload. However, Carter is an explosive player who can make defenders look silly in space. Hall is the 1.01 in rookie drafts, and Fantasy GMs are looking forward to him posting RB2 numbers in 2022. Carter has flex appeal in PPR formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
