[LAR - Likely torn ACL for WR Odell Beckham Jr.](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Los Angeles Rams WR [Odell Beckham](=) Jr. (knee) is 'believed to have torn his (anterior cruciate ligament)' in Super Bowl LVI, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Beckham was talking about wanting to stay with the Rams, and he would even take a hometown discount to do so. Now, with this knee injury in the Super Bowl, that might be the case. The market won't materialize for him the way it would if he was healthy and coming off a Super Bowl win. The Chiefs were rumored to be interested, and we'll see if they still are now that Beckham has his second ACL injury in two years. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CIN - QB Joe Burrow's knee an issue?](=) Source: No Source Cincinnati Bengals QB [Joe Burrow](=) (knee) will be evaluated at a later time, according to head coach Zac Taylor. 'He's a tough guy,' Taylor said when asked about Burrow's knee. 'He finished the game. We'll figure it out at a later time.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burrow injured his knee as a rookie, but he was able to play this past season and he performed at a high level. He was the most sacked quarterback this year, and that certainly didn't help his knee issue. The Bengals need to emphasize protecting their young quarterback better if they want to stay in the Super Bowl hunt. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [MIA - Stephen Ross could be forced to sell?](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross could face severe discipline, including losing the team by a vote of fellow owners, for the tanking allegations, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell hinted that something like this could happen last week during his "state of the league" address. The investigation could take quite a bit of time, and things will unfold along the way which could keep Ross as the team's owner. The biggest factor? League owners have a ton of protection, see Daniel Snyder, and that may make things difficult for the league in terms of forcing a sale by Ross. As always with these things, we'll keep you posted as information unfolds. [MIA - Frank Smith hired by Miami]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Los Angeles Chargers run game coordinator/offensive line coach Frank Smith was hired as offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins Monday, Feb. 14. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Dolphins are going to emphasize running the ball more than ever under new head coach Mike McDaniel. We'll see McDaniel call plays in 2022, but Smith is there to help him build a strong rushing attack. Expect the Dolphins to be looking for upgrades to the running back room this offseason via free agency and/or the draft. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CAR - Joe Dailey headed to Carolina]( Source: On3Sports - Matt Zenitz Boston College offensive coordinator Joe Dailey is expected to be named as the new wide receivers coach for the Carolina Panthers, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dailey was a former standout quarterback at Nebraska and North Carolina in college. He's been bouncing around the coaching world since then with stops at Liberty, New Mexico and Boston College. Even though he wasn't there at Liberty atthe same time as projected first-round QB Malik Willis, it's interesting to note the connection with the Panthers needing an upgrade at the position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [MIN - QB Jerrod Johnson hired by Vikings](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Former QB Jerrod Johnson was hired by the Minnesota Vikings Monday, Feb. 14, to serve as an assistant on offense and work with the QBs under new coach Kevin O'Connell. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's an interesting move by O'Connell. Johnson was a big, strong-but-wild armed quarterback for Texas A&M. He went undrafted in 2011, and Johnson bounced around to every league under the sun: NFL, CFL, UFL (remember them), IFL (Indoor Football), and YCF (Your Call Football). He's working with QB Kirk Cousins this year, but we feel the Vikings will be moving on from him after that. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. We'll see you in a few days with our Sigmund Bloom breaking down some of the things we learned this season. Peace and Grace to you.
