[] 1. [CIN - TE C.J. Uzomah likely to play in Super Bowl]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Cincinnati Bengals TE [C.J. Uzomah](=) (knee) is expected to take part in the team's final practice Friday, Feb. 11, and is 'trending toward playing Sunday,' according to NFL Network's James Palmer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Uzomah went down in the AFC Championship Game with a knee sprain that looked more severe than it turned out to be. He's already said there is no way he's going to miss the biggest game of his career. Uzomah won't be 100 percent, and it looks like he's more on the positive side of being a game-time decision. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - Productive meeting for QB Aaron Rodgers](=) Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Tom Silverstein Green Bay Packers QB [Aaron Rodgers](=) said he had great discussions with the front office before leaving the facilities after the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Everyone wants to know what Rodgers is going to do. Some think he's staying with Green Bay - even though their salary cap situation is one of the worst in the NFL and it would take a lot of movement just to keep him. Some feel he's going to retire, especially after his (goodbye?) speech after winning his fourth MVP at NFL Honors on Thursday. Many think he's going to the Denver Broncos via trade. Stay tuned, Rodgers says it won't take much longer for his decision to be revealed. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [CHI - QB Justin Fields to run the show?]() Source: The Athletic - Kevin Fishbain Chicago Bears QB [Justin Fields](=) will run an offense thatbest utilizes his skills, according to offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. 'The things the quarterback position does well, that's gonna be the driver of who we are,' Getsy said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Getsy worked with Packers QB Aaron Rodgers closely, and now he gets to guide the career of Fields. It's wise to set him up for success by doing what he's most comfortable with. It sounds simple, but sometimes in the NFL that sort of notion seems revolutionary as many coaches are stuck in their ways. Getsy is looking to be more innovative but simply asking his quarterback what works best. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [DEN - Dom Capers likely to Denver](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Former Detroit Lions assistant coach Dom Capers is expected to be hired by the Denver Broncos as a defensive assistant. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Capers will be an advisor to Ejiro Evero. The Broncos will be able to officially announce Evero as their defensive coordinator when he's done coaching for the Rams in the Super Bowl. Capers has a ton of experience and previous working experience from their time with the Packers. Yes, that's another Packers connection for the Broncos this offseason. It makes you wonder what other Packers asset could be next... [] 5. [NYG - DeAndre Smith joins NYG coaching staff]( Source: The Record - Art Stapleton Texas Tech University running backs coach DeAndre Smith was hired to the same post by the New York Giants on Friday, Feb. 11. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith makes the jump to the pros after two decades of working in college football. Over his two decades of coaching, Smith has mentored four All-Americans and has had 10 RBs under his guidance rush for at least 1,000 yards, namely Mikel LeShoure at Illinois and Michael Turner and Garrett Wolfe at Northern Illinois. Now, Smith gets to work with one of the best backs in the game (when healthy) Saquon Barkley. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [MIN - WR Keenan McCardell to remain with Vikings](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Minnesota Vikings wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell will remain with the team in the same role for the 2022 season, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCardell, a 16-year veteran in the NFL, has been working in the coaching world since 2010. He's bounced around to a few different teams in the NFL and had a couple of seasons in college football at Maryland. The Vikings must have liked what they got from McCardell last year in his first season with the team. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [MIA - Eric Studesville sticking around in former role]( Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson Miami Dolphins running backs coach and co-offensive coordinator Eric Studesville will remain on the coaching staff as the running backs coach only under new head coach Mike McDaniel, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The co-offensive coordinator thing didn't work. Studesville has been a great running backs coach for years, and under McDaniel we will see a revamped rushing attack for the Dolphins in 2022.
