[TEN - RB Derrick Henry practices in pads]( Source: Around The NFL Tennessee Titans RB [Derrick Henry](=) (foot) practiced wearing pads Tuesday, Jan. 18, but a decision about his availability for the Divisional Round game has yet to be made. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fingers crossed here. We'll be watching this one closely for you this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CHI - Morocco Brown meeting with Bears]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Indianapolis Colts college scouting director Morocco Brown is interviewing for the Chicago Bears' general manager vacancy Tuesday, Jan. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown has a strong reputation for his work he's done with the Colts. The franchise is on solid footing, somewhere the Bears would like to be after moving on from former GM Ryan Pace. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DEN - QB Kellen Moore meeting with DEN](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is interviewing for the Denver Broncos' head coaching position Tuesday, Jan. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore has a bright offensive mind, but he's coming off a playoff loss to the 49ers and that may have cooled his stock in the eyes of Broncos fans. The Broncos have talent on offense, outside of having a good quarterback. Perhaps Moore, and the right QB, will help jump start this talented but under performing unit. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [MIN - Todd Bowles to meet with Vikings]() Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will interview for the Minnesota Vikings' head coaching vacancy Friday, Jan. 21. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings had a defensive minded coach in Mike Zimmer, but they're not shying away from looking at other defensive guys to replace him. Bowles has previous coaching experience from his time as the head coach of the Jets, and that might help him get another shot. He's currently pursued by a few teams looking for a head coach. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - Denver ramping up coaching search](=) Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is reportedly interviewing with the Denver Broncos in the Dallas area on Tuesday, Jan. 18. Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is scheduled to do the same later in the evening. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos are looking at both coordinators from the Cowboys. Since moving on from Vic Fangio, the team should focus on improving their offense and finding a head coach who can fit with whatever quarterback they bring in this offseason. Rumblings have been their top target is trading for QB Aaron Rodgers. It seems like a pipe dream, but they should be aggressive in their pursuit of upgrading the quarterback position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [MIN - Brandon Brown meets with Minnesota]( Source: Vikings.com Philadelphia Eagles director of player personnel Brandon Brown interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings for their general manager vacancy Tuesday, Jan. 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Brown has experience on both the college and pro scouting side of the business. He's been an executive for several years, and the last five years have been with the Eagles. We'll see if he can impress the Vikings enough to get their top job. [CHI - QB Byron Leftwich to meet with Bears](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich will interview for the Chicago Bears' head coaching job either Thursday, Jan. 20, or Friday, Jan. 21. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Leftwich has done a great job as a coach with the Cardinals and the Buccaneers. The Bears need to find a coach who can get the most out of QB Justin Fields. Leftwich, a former first-round quarterback himself, would be a boost for Fields in his second year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [MIN - Raheem Morris of interest to Vikings](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris has been requested for an interview for the Minnesota Vikings' head coaching position. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Morris has plenty of experience on both sides of the ball. A former head coach with the Buccaneers, Morris has also worked on offense and defense as an assistant coach. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NYG - Joe Schoen meeting with Giants again]() Source: New York Post - Paul Schwartz Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen is interviewing with the New York Giants a second time Tuesday, Jan. 18, for their general manager vacancy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a pretty good sign for Schoen as he could be named the next GM of the Giants. He's Bills GM Brandon Beane's right-hand man, and the team has turned into a powerhouse in the AFC. The Giants need a lot of help, and Schoen could be the man to help them do that. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NYG - Ryan Poles to meet with Giants again]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Kansas City Chiefs executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles is expected to interview with the New York Giants a second time for their general manager vacancy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Vikings and the Giants are both after Poles as well. A second interview is a good sign for Brett Veach's right hand man. We'll see if the Giants decide to make him their GM and a much-needed improvement over former GM Dave Gettleman. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PIT - PIT moving on from QB Ben Roethlisberger]( Source: ESPN - Brooke Pryor Pittsburgh Steelers QB [Ben Roethlisberger](=) is expected to move on from the Steelers as head coach Mike Tomlin said they're proceeding with the assumption he's done in Pittsburgh. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Roethlisberger hasn't made it official, but everyone is pretty sure he's done playing football. The Steelers reportedly are not going to make an aggressive move for someone like Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson. Instead, they might see what Dwayne Haskins or Mason Rudolph can do as the starter in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [MIA - Mike McDaniel gearing up for Miami interview](=) Source: MMQB - Albert Breer Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel is scheduled to interview for the head coaching vacancy with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, Jan. 19. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McDaniel is following in the footsteps of many before him in the Mike Shanahan coaching tree. Just like Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur and Mike LaFleur, McDaniel has worked his way up in that system and has put himself in position to be a head coach. Like the aforementioned coaches, McDaniel is seen as a bright offensive mind who can connect with today's player. We'll see if the Dolphins add him or someone else as head coach. They need to find the best coach if they're moving forward with young QB Tua Tagovailoa. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Team.
