[MIN - RB Dalvin Cook placed on COVID list]( Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson Minnesota Vikings RB [Dalvin Cook](=) on Thursday, Dec. 24, was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Cook reportedly is unvaccinated so he will miss the team's Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Rams. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Without Cook, the Vikings turn to Alexander Mattison once again. Fantasy GMs need to check if he's out there. Mattison is a borderline RB1 anytime he's starting for the Vikings. Most Fantasy GMs handcuff Mattison to Cook, but there is a chance he's on the waiver wire this late in your fantasy league. [NO - QB Ian Book set to start Monday night](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero New Orleans Saints QB Ian Book is expected to start Monday, Dec. 27, after QBs [Taysom Hill](=) and [Trevor Siemian](=) were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Book was a fourth-round pick out of Notre Dame in the 2021 NFL draft. He was limited as a passer in college, mainly due to accuracy and pass placement issues. However, Book is a scrambler who can be dangerous as a runner. It's not like Fantasy GMs were super excited about Saints not named Alvin Kamara, but Book starting is a downgrade for the Saints passing attack. [NO - QB Trevor Siemian headed to COVID list]() Source: The Times-Picayune - Jeff Duncan New Orleans Saints QB [Trevor Siemian](=) tested positive for COVID-19 and will go on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Dec. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Siemian is on the COVID list along with Taysom Hill. That leaves 2021 fourth-round pick Ian Book as the Saints starter in Week 16. [CHI - Two come off COVID list]( Source: ChicagoBears.com - Larry Mayer Chicago Bears QB [Andy Dalton](=) and DE Mario Edwards Jr., on Thursday, Dec. 23, were activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dalton comes back for the Bears in Week 16, and he returns to a backup role behind rookie Justin Fields. [CLE - QB Baker Mayfield still in plans]() Source: ESPN - Jake Trotter Cleveland Browns QB [Baker Mayfield](=) remains on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and did not practice Thursday, Dec. 23, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said the plan is for Mayfield to start Saturday in Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's good news for the Browns, but it's bad news they're going up against the Packers in Week 16. Mayfield's return is a positive for the passing game, along with WR Jarvis Landry returning, but Fantasy GMs have better options at the quarterback position. [LAR - RB Cam Akers cleared to practice](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Los Angeles Rams RB Cam Akers (Achilles) was designated for return from the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Dec. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This opens a 21-day window for the Rams to activate Akers to the roster. We'll see if he does make it back to the field at the end of the regular season or in the playoffs. Akers return would cluster a backfield that is shared between Sony Michel and Darrell Henderson. [ARI - RB James Conner a game-time decision](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Arizona Cardinals RB [James Conner](=) (heel) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 23, and head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Conner's availability for Saturday night's Week 16 game against the Indianapolis Colts will come down to a game-time decision. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things are trending towards Conner missing the game against the Colts in Week 16. [CLE - WR Jarvis Landry to come off virus list](=) Source: WEWS Cleveland 5 - Camryn Justice Cleveland Browns WR [Jarvis Landry](=) will be activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Dec. 24, head coach Kevin Stefanski said Thursday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Playing against the Packers means the Browns are going to have to push the ball on offense. Landry is a WR3/flex option, especially in PPR leagues, where he could get a sizable piece of the passing game. With Heinicke back under center, Gilbert returns to a backup role. The team is also waiting for Kyle Allen to be cleared. He's not out, but Evans needs to be at least limited on Friday in order to have a shot at playing in Week 16. The Buccaneers are down to Antonio Brown, Tyler Johnson, and Scotty Miller at the wide receiver position.
