[GB - WR Randall Cobb out for extended period](#9) 10. [TEN - WR Julio Jones practices again Thursday](#10) 11. [CHI - WR Allen Robinson says he's playing Sunday](#11) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [DAL - RB Tony Pollard a game-time call](=) Source: Around The NFL Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB [Tony Pollard](=) (foot) said Thursday, Dec. 9, he tore his left plantar fascia in Week 13 vs. the New Orleans Saints, and expects his Week 14 status to come down to a game-time decision Sunday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pollard has been playing extremely so this is a blow. Stay tuned here to see if we get clarity in the next day or so. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [LVR - Another DNP for TE Darren Waller]( Source: The Athletic - Tashan Reed Las Vegas Raiders TE [Darren Waller](=) (knee, back) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's not a great sign for his availability in Week 14. He's day-to-day with this injury but may have to miss another game. Foster Moreau may be in line for a larger role against the Chiefs on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [WAS - RB J.D. McKissic doing some work]( Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala Washington Football Team RB [J.D. McKissic](=) (concussion) is doing individual work at practice Thursday, Dec. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is all part of going through the concussion protocol, which McKissic is still in. He needs to do some light work, and then the team will see if he suffers any setbacks. If not, McKissic will be good to go against the Cowboys on Sunday. Fantasy GMs can look at him as a 'what the heck' flex if he's out there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CIN - QB Joe Burrow throws Thursday]() Source: The Athletic - Paul Dehner Jr. Cincinnati Bengals QB [Joe Burrow](=) (finger, knee) was seen throwing passes Thursday, Dec. 9, in the portion of practice open to the media. Burrow didn't participate in every drill, but 'clearly (did) enough to feel good about where the (injured) pinky is at for Sunday,' in the assessment of a team beat reporter. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a good sign for Burrow's availability in Week 14 against the 49ers. He's limited with this finger injury in practice but could produce like a low-end QB1 for Fantasy GMs on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [SF - San Francisco inks RB Brian Hill](=) Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco The San Francisco 49ers signed free agent RB Brian Hill (Browns) to the practice squad on Wednesday, Dec. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With all the injuries in the backfield, Hill may make it to the active roster for the 49ers. He's a good all-purpose journeyman back who could produce in that system if given the chance. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DEN - RB Melvin Gordon expects to play](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com - Aric DiLalla Denver Broncos RB [Melvin Gordon](=) (hip) will be a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 9, but said he expects to play Sunday in Week 14 against the Detroit Lions. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gordon will play, but is he going to start? We'd guess he does, but he should split time with rookie Javonte Williams. With Gordon coming back from injury, perhaps the Broncos ease him in with confidence that Williams can carry a larger load like he did last week versus the Chiefs. Williams is a RB2 with RB1 upside and Gordon is a flex play with upside against the Lions in Week 14. [NYJ - WR Keelan Cole comes off COVID list](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Jets WR [Keelan Cole](=) on Thursday, Dec. 9, was activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for the Jets passing game. Cole missed Week 13 against the Eagles, but he should be good to go for Week 14. With Corey Davis done for the year, Cole could get more snaps than some expect. Cole's return could take some targets away from Elijah Moore as well. It will be interesting to see how much rookie QB Zach Wilson leans on Cole. He's not yet fantasy relevant but that could change with the right opportunity and production. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [ARI - RB Chase Edmonds designated to return]() Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Arizona Cardinals RB [Chase Edmonds](=) (ankle) has been designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Dec. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With this move, the Cardinals have opened a 21-day window to activate Edmonds from Injured Reserve. We haven't seen him out there since Week 9, and if he comes back for Week 14 against the Rams (on Monday night) Edmonds might be eased back into action. James Conner is still the lead back and worth considering as an RB1 in Week 14. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [GB - WR Randall Cobb out for extended period]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Myles Simmons Green Bay Packers WR [Randall Cobb](=) (core) likely will be out multiple weeks with the core injury he suffered in Week 12, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said on the team's website Thursday, Dec. 9. 'He had a pretty significant injury,' LaFleur said, via Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers website. 'That's unfortunate because he's done such an amazing job when given the opportunity.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Without Cobb, the Packers turn to Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard more. Against the Bears on Sunday night, we could see Valdes-Scantling performing around the levels you'd want to flex him. Lazard may be more of a 'what the heck' flex. We'll see how the targets are structured going forward without Cobb for 'some time.' [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [TEN - WR Julio Jones practices again Thursday]() Source: Titans.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans WR [Julio Jones](=) (hamstring) participated in practice for a second straight day Thursday, Dec. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's great news for Jones who is usually limited during the week of practice. He's back in action and the no.1 WR for the Titans with A.J. Brown on IR. Jones should be a flex play with upside for Fantasy GMs in Week 14. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [CHI - WR Allen Robinson says he's playing Sunday](=) Source: Around The NFL Chicago Bears WR [Allen Robinson](=) (hamstring) said Thursday, Dec. 9, that he expects to return from a hamstring injury and play in Week 14 on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson says he'll play and if he does he will be catching passes from Justin Fields. That means he's a 'what the heck' flex against the Packers in Week 14. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. We'll see you tomorrow with the Update.
