[NO - RB Malcolm Perry catches on with New Orleans](#11) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [NYG - Jason Garrett relieved of his duties]( Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano New York Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was fired Tuesday, Nov. 23. Senior offensive assistant Freddie Kitchens is expected to replace him for the rest of the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Giants had one of the worst offenses in the league with Garrett running the show over the last season and a half. Garrett was never a good hiring, and the former Cowboys head coach is likely to have to take a job as a quarterback coach somewhere next year as he tries to get his career back on track. Joe Judge is not a good head coach, but he's running out of fall guys for the Giants struggles and could be fired himself after the season. Freddie Kitchens, Judge's senior offensive assistant, is expected to take over play-calling. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CHI - Matt Nagy on the way out?](=) Source: NBC Sports Chicago - Alex Shapiro Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy will be fired after the Week 12 game, according to sources. Nagy refuted the report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Nobody should be surprised with this, not even Nagy himself. An "offensive guru" from the Chiefs, Nagy was supposed to be able to light a spark on that side of the ball. Instead, the Bears still struggle to produce at a high level on offense and they've already burned through a couple of quarterbacks under Nagy. It's time to move on, and it sounds like that's going to happen in the near future. Nagy (of course) refuted the report. "That is not accurate," Nagy refuted. "I had great communication with ownership." [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DET - QB Jared Goff likely to start Thanksgiving Day]() Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero Detroit Lions QB [Jared Goff](=) (oblique) is reportedly feeling better Tuesday, Nov. 23, and has head coach Dan Campbell 'leaning toward' starting him against the Chicago Bears in Week 12. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Well, that's something if the alternative is Tim Boyle. It's shaping up to be Goff vs Andy Dalton (already named the starter for the Bears) on Thanksgiving Day. Take a nap during that time if you so choose, but don't look at Goff as any sort of streaming option if he does play in Week 12. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CHI - QB Andy Dalton starting in Week 12]() Source: NFL.com Chicago Bears QB [Andy Dalton](=) will start in place of QB [Justin Fields](=) (ribs) in Week 12 Thursday, Nov. 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's a short week for the Bears as they play on Thanksgiving against the Lions. In deep leagues, Dalton may be a streaming option in this plus matchup. Fields avoided broken ribs, but getting this extra time off will help him get ready for Week 13. We should see Fields return against the Cardinals that Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [TB - Scotty Miller activated]() Source: Tampa Bay Times - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Scotty Miller (toe) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Miller has talent but he is buried on the Buccaneers depth chart. We should see Tyler Johnson work as the no.3 receiver behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. That leaves Miller to compete for the no.4 spot...and this is all while Antonio Brown (ankle) is on the mend. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [HOU - RB Phillip Lindsay released](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Houston Texans RB [Phillip Lindsay](=) was released Tuesday, Nov. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lindsay was a back-to-back 1,000-yard rusher with the Broncos in 2018 and 2019. Then, he was banged up in 2020 and shared time with Melvin Gordon. This previous offseason, the Broncos let him go after he requested his release. The Texans were quick to pick him up, but Lindsay didn't do much to impress or earn a spot in the rotation. Any team with a zone-blocking system should be interested in the small but determined runner. [TEN - RB Dontrell Hilliard promoted]( Source: The Tennessean - Ben Arthur Tennessee Titans RB [Dontrell Hilliard](=) was signed off the practice squad Tuesday, Nov. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hilliard rushed seven times for 35 yards in Tennessee's Week 11 loss to Houston, adding eight catches for 47 yards on 10 targets. He's done enough to earn more of a role in the Titans backfield. They've been searching for answers since losing Derrick Henry, and while Hilliard isn't the total answer - he could be part of the solution. If you think the Titans will use the change-of-pace back more, then pick him up and play him as a 'what the heck' flex option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [PIT - TE Eric Ebron out indefinitely](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Pittsburgh Steelers TE [Eric Ebron](=) (knee) is expected to miss extended time and eventually undergo surgery after suffering a knee injury in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ebron is seeking a second opinion, but there's a chance he'll have to have season-ending knee surgery. That means Pat Freiermuth will get more opportunity with Ebron out. We should see Ebron on Injured Reserve ASAP. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [BUF - Buffalo's Tuesday practice report]( Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills WR [Cole Beasley](=) (ribs) was limited in practice Tuesday, Nov. 23. LB Tremaine Edmunds (hamstring) practiced in full. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Get used to Beasley being limited this week. The Bills play on Thanksgiving against the Saints, but Beasley should be able to get out there. If he plays, Beasley is at 'what the heck' flex levels. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [PIT - Pittsburgh announces practice squad moves](=) Source: Steelers.com Free-agent TE Jace Sternberger was signed to the practice squad of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, Nov. 23. QB James Morgan was released to make room for him on the practice squad. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sternberger never played up to his potential with the Packers. Now, he gets a chance to impress with the Steelers. He's an athletic receiving tight end when healthy. The Steelers need some tight end depth with Eric Ebron (knee) likely headed to Injured Reserve. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NO - RB Malcolm Perry catches on with New Orleans](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Free-agent RB/WR Malcolm Perry (Patriots) was signed to the practice squad of the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, Nov. 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perry has bounced around the league as a running back, wide receiver and special teams player. He has quickness and vision as a runner but has yet to latch on anywhere in multiple stops.
