[TB - WR Antonio Brown on crutches](=) Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR [Antonio Brown](=) (ankle) was out of practice and on a crutch Wednesday, Oct. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's Wednesday, so missing practice isn't the end of the world. Being on a crutch is...something to watch. The Buccaneers will just keep feeding Mike Evans and Chris Godwin if Brown can't play. They travel to play the Saints in Week 8. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CAR - CAR out on QB Deshaun Watson]() Source: The Athletic - Joseph Person Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson will not be pursued by the Carolina Panthers before the Nov. 2 trade deadline, but he could be an option in the offseason. The no-trade clause wasn't an issue with the team. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] So, basically they're OUT on Watson...for now. Watson will get his legal situation deposed early next year, and he may not be dealt before that time. The Dolphins are reportedly close to getting a deal done, but that may not be the case. The Broncos had interest but Watson may not want to join them. The Watson situation is one to watch closely as the trade deadline approaches next week, but there's a chance he doesn't get dealt until the offseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [GB - WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling back?](=) Source: PackersWire - Zach Kruse Green Bay Packers WR [Marquez Valdes-Scantling](=) (hamstring) is hopeful to come off the Reserve/Injured list in time to play Thursday, Oct. 27. Doug Kyed of PFF reports the "current expectation is" he'll be activated off the injured reserve list and play Thursday. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Packers could use him on Thursday night against the Cardinals. They have lost Allen Lazard for this game (COVID list) Davante Adams is out as well. We could see more from TE Robert Tonyan and RB Aaron Jones (as a receiver) if they're down a couple of their top receivers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [GB - WR Davante Adams out for Week 8]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Green Bay Packers WR [Davante Adams](=) is expected to be out for the Week 8 game. He is currently on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams did not travel with the team to Arizona. They're already without Allen Lazard, so expect more from TE Robert Tonyan and RB Aaron Jones as a receiver out of the backfield. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [MIA - MIA reportedly agrees to QB Deshaun Watson terms]() Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson is involved in a deal, which terms have been agreed upon, to the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins want his legal issues resolved, or clarity on length of a potential suspension, before consummating the deal. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] So, the Dolphins want the courts to speed up - they won't. They also want clarity from the league, which may be difficult as well. Watson will be deposed on his legal issues early next year. That means he may not be dealt until that is resolved - no matter what the Dolphins have in place at this time. If they can do the deal before next Tuesday's trade deadline it's obviously huge for them...but tons of questions remain. As always, stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DAL - QB Dak Prescott to do some work]() Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater Dallas Cowboys QB [Dak Prescott](=) (calf) will work through the individual portion of practice Wednesday, Oct. 27, and then be evaluated before taking part in the team portions. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cowboys play against the Vikings on Sunday night, and it sounds like they're just being wisely cautious with their superstar quarterback. "We don't want this to be a week-to-week situation," head coach Mike McCarthy said. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [WAS - WR Terry McLaurin does not practice]() Source: The Washington Post - Sam Fortier Washington Football Team WR [Terry McLaurin](=) (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's just a rest day for McLaurin. He's a WR1 for Fantasy GMs up against a Broncos secondary that is struggling in 2021. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [HOU - QB Tyrod Taylor on track to return](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Houston Texans QB [Tyrod Taylor](=) (hamstring) was cleared to practice Wednesday, Oct. 27, and has been designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Texans have 21 days to decide if he will be activated or remain on injured reserve. He's the starter when healthy, and he's close to returning to the field. This means rookie Davis Mills is about to head back to the bench. [CLE - QB Baker Mayfield possible for Week 8]( Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Dan Labbe Cleveland Browns QB [Baker Mayfield](=) (shoulder) hopes to do some work in practice Wednesday, Oct. 27, and thinks playing in Week 8 is absolutely possible. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mayfield thought he was going to play last week on Thursday night. Case Keenum started instead against the Broncos and won the game. This week against the Steelers, Mayfield may be out there but the team doesn't lose much if Keenum has to give it a go. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [WAS - TE Ricky Seals-Jones limited]() Source: The Washington Post - Sam Fortier Washington Football Team TE [Ricky Seals-Jones](=) (quadriceps) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watch to see what Seals-Jones does on Friday. In a matchup against the Broncos, Seals-Jones is a TE2 with upside for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NYJ - Mike White to start Week 8]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter New York Jets QB [Mike White](=) will be the starting quarterback for the Jets in Week 8, according to head coach Robert Saleh. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] White took over for an injured Zach Wilson last week and struggled. We'll see Joe Flacco eventually as the starter but for now White is the guy. Adjust (downgrade) players from the Jets passing game with White under center. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [CLE - WR Jarvis Landry out of practice]( Source: Medina County Gazette - Scott Petrak Cleveland Browns WR [Jarvis Landry](=) (knee) is out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 27, due to a knee injury suffered last week that isn't related to his sprained medial collateral ligament. They hope he can practice later in the week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Landry returned last week against the Broncos and had eight targets, five catches and 37 yards receiving. The Browns will be careful with Landry during the week of practice. If he plays against the Steelers, Landry is flex worthy in PPR formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [NYG - RB Saquon Barkley working on side]() Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants RB [Saquon Barkley](=) (ankle) is working on the side with trainers Wednesday, Oct. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Giants would be in a better spot if they had Barkley out there against the Chiefs in Week 8. The game is on Monday night, so we'll have to see what Barkley can do on Saturday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [WAS - RB Antonio Gibson a limited participant]() Source: The Washington Post - Sam Fortier Washington Football Team RB [Antonio Gibson](=) (shin) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Gibson is going to be limited all year by this shin injury. He's a RB2/flex play against the Broncos in Week 8. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [NYG - WR Kadarius Toney working with trainers]() Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants WR [Kadarius Toney](=) (ankle) is working on the side with trainers Wednesday, Oct. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Giants play against the Chiefs on Monday night, and they'll need as much help as they can get. We'll see if Toney can get a practice participation in by Saturday, but consider him a long-shot to play in Week 8.
