[KC - Andy Reid out of the hospital](=) Source: Kansas City Star - Herbie Teope Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was released from the hospital and is in 'great spirits' Monday, Sept. 27. He is expected to return to the building no later than Tuesday, Sept. 28. Reid was taken to the hospital Sunday, Sept. 26, after feeling ill near the end of the Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It was a dehydration issue according to various reports, and it's great news that Reid is feeling better. He'll be back in the building with plenty of time to put together a plan for the Eagles in Week 4. The Chiefs are at the bottom of the AFC West with a 1-2 record after losing to the Chargers on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [JAX - TE Dan Arnold to JAX](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Carolina Panthers TE [Dan Arnold](=) and a third-round pick were shipped to the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday, Sept. 27, in exchange for CB CJ Henderson and a fifth-round pick. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Jaguars had James O'Shaughnessy as their starter but he was lost for a few weeks with an ankle injury. Arnold should now take over at the position, and he could produce at a level that makes him a TE2 with upside for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NE - RB James White out indefinitely](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New England Patriots RB [James White](=) (hip) was diagnosed with a hip subluxation after leaving Week 3 early due to injury and is out indefinitely, according to multiple sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Expect the Patriots to put White on IR in the near future. With White out, guys like Brandon Bolden, Rhamondre Stevenson and J.J. Taylor could get more work. Fantasy GMs need to see this thing shake out before taking a chance on any of the Patriots backs behind Damien Harris. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [TEN - WR A.J. Brown likely to miss some time]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Tennessee Titans WR [A.J. Brown](=) (hamstring) was diagnosed with a strained hamstring Monday, Sept. 27, and is considered week-to-week, according to a source via ESPN's Adam Schefter. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rough news for Brown and Ryan Tannehill. Keep an eye on this. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey to avoid IR for now](=) Source: ESPN.com - David Newton Carolina Panthers RB [Christian McCaffrey](=) (hamstring) will not be placed on the Reserve/Injured list for now, according to head coach Matt Rhule. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news....for now. McCaffrey would have to miss at least three weeks if placed on IR at this time. Since he's not on IR, that means he could be back sooner than that three-week window. If McCaffrey has to miss time, the Panthers can turn to rookie Chubba Hubbard and veteran Royce Freeman in the backfield. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [KC - WR Josh Gordon Reinstated And Added To KC Practice Squad](=) Source: Ian Rapoport - NFL.com NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported, "The #Chiefs are signing Josh Gordon to their practice squad, with the goal of elevating him at some point when he gets up to speed." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're happy to see Gordon get another shot. But it's been a long time since he was a factor. Still, this is the NFL and anything can happen. I'd only consider adding him in Waivers if you have plenty of room to spare. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [GB - WR Davante Adams OK](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Green Bay Packers WR [Davante Adams](=) (chest) took a big hit late in the game Sunday, Sept. 26, but said he was not concussed. 'It wasn't a concussion, so, I went on the sideline, they evaluated and saw right away, I was straight,' Adams said. 'More than anything on the ground it was my chest. I was having trouble catching a breath. I'm definitely good now.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams was out for one play after the hit, and he made some big catches on the Packers way to winning the game late on Sunday night. He caught 12-of-18 targets for 132 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the 49ers. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DEN - KJ Hamler done for the year]( Source: The Denver Post - Ryan O'Halloran Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR KJ Hamler (knee) was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament Monday, Sept. 27, and will miss the remainder of the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] No surprise here. Hamler went up to make a catch but came down awkwardly on his knee. The injury was so bad the broadcast did not replay the attempted catch. Without Hamler, the Broncos WR corps is getting thin as Jerry Jeudy (high ankle sprain) is on Injured Reserve and a month - at least - from returning to the field. They do have Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick on the outside, and losing Hamler could lead to more opportunities for TE Noah Fant. As far as the slot receiver goes, the Broncos have some options like Diontae Spencer (or practice squad players like Seth Williams, Tyrie Cleveland) to go to. [LAC - Justin Herbert has hand issue]( Source: NFL Network - James Palmer Los Angeles Chargers QB [Justin Herbert](=) (hand) left the stadium with his right hand wrapped in ice Sunday, Sept. 26, but he's expected to be OK. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's something to monitor as the week of practice goes on. We should see Herbert limited during the week as the Chargers prepare for Week 4. They are coming off a big win over the Chiefs on Sunday but are no.3 in the AFC West behind the undefeated Raiders and Broncos. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [CHI - Chicago undecided about QB for Week 4](=) Source: Pro Football Focus - Doug Kyed Chicago Bears QBs [Justin Fields](=) and Nick Foles are under consideration to start in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions if [Andy Dalton](=) (knee) is unable to play, according to comments from head coach Matt Nagy on Monday, Sept. 27. Nagy told reporters he 'can't definitively say' who will get the nod. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Even Adam Gase thinks Nagy is off the mark. Fields was bad in Week 3, sacked nine times while he only threw for 68 yards. The rookie first-round pick is athletic as a runner and intelligent as a passer, but Nagy is not the offensive genius he was promoted to be. He seemed lost when putting together a gameplan for Fields, someone who should be able to attack a defense with his legs and arm. The problem in Chicago is the coaching staff, and going with Nick Foles is not going to save them. Hopefully Fields isn't ruined during his time with Nagy. All Fantasy GMs need to downgrade Bears skill position players until they figure things out...and that could take a coaching change. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [JAX - WR Phillip Dorsett let go]( Source: The Florida Times-Union - John Reid Jacksonville Jaguars WR [Phillip Dorsett](=) was released from the practice squad Monday, Sept. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dorsett, a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, has bounced around during his time in the league. He missed all of the 2020 season due to a foot issue when he was with the Seahawks and was looking to get a chance with the Jaguars. Instead, the veteran speedster finds himself back on the free agent market. Any team in need of wide receiver help might take a look at the veteran. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [CAR - Tommy Tremble will get a chance](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Carolina Panthers TE [Tommy Tremble](=) will receive a chance after the team traded TE [Dan Arnold](=) to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Matt Rhule called Tremble 'this year's Jeremy Chinn,' as he has been standing out. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Panthers picked up Tremble in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft. He's a throwback TE/H-back who can be moved around the formation. He thrives on contact and loves blocking. Tremble is a work in progress when it comes to route running, but he's got the work ethic to hone that part of his game. He also needs to work on his hands because he had more drops than touchdowns for the Fighting Irish. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [PIT - Bruised ribs for WR JuJu Smith-Schuster](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers WR [JuJu Smith-Schuster](=) (ribs) was diagnosed with bruised ribs and is considered day-to-day after imaging tests came back negative Monday, Sept. 27. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is good news for the Steelers. Rib injuries come down to pain tolerance, so expect Smith-Schuster to be limited in practice as he recovers from this injury. Smith-Schuster left Week 3 early and did not return due to the ribs issue. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [IND - WR T.Y. Hilton trending in right direction](=) Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (neck) is reportedly making good progress in his recovery from neck surgery but isn't quite ready to come off the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Frank Reich. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hilton is eligible to return from IR, but it sounds like he's going to miss Week 4 as he continues to recover. He's getting close to returning and could start practicing in the near future. When Hilton returns he will cut into the playing time of Zach Pascal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [BAL - Two set to return to practice for Baltimore](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens WRs Rashod Bateman (groin) and Miles Boykin (hamstring) will return to practice this week, according to head coach John Harbaugh. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bateman is the player Fantasy GMs are monitoring closely. The rookie was supposed to be a sleeper for this year until a groin injury knocked him out of action. We'll see if he gets to practice this week. The best part of Bateman's game is his route-running ability and secure hands. When healthy and up to speed, Bateman could become a favorite target of QB Lamar Jackson.
