[BAL - RB Gus Edwards feared to have torn ACL](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (knee) is believed to have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during practice Thursday, Sept. 9, according to sources. He scheduled to undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Ravens have already lost J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill for the season. Now, they may be down yet another running back. If Edwards misses the year, Ty'Son Williams will get his shot. The Ravens also have Le'Veon Bell who could be a factor. Trenton Cannon was just signed as well, and his speed could be utilized in a change-of-pace role. The Ravens also signed Devonta Freeman to their practice squad. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [GB - No extension for WR Davante Adams](=) Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams said there's no chance of a contract extension before the start of the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams is with Green Bay for one "Last Dance" along with QB Aaron Rodgers. With Rodgers likely to be traded away next offseason, Adams may decide to leave as well. Time will tell if the Packers can convince Adams to stay instead of hitting free agency in 2022. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [NYG - RB Saquon Barkley remains limited](=) Source: Giants.com New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Barkley is set to play against the Broncos in Week 1. The team has limited him but he may be a full participant on Friday. Barkley may not be 100 percent, and the team may choose to ease him back into action. This means more usage of Devontae Booker (against his old team the Broncos) is possible on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [LVR - RB Josh Jacobs practicing Thursday]( Source: The Athletic - Tashan Reed Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is dressed out and participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Good news for Jacobs as he's been dealing with an unknown ailment. He should be ready to go for the Monday night game against the Ravens. Fantasy GMs can look at him as a RB2, and we'll all be interested to see how Kenyan Drake works his way into the mix for the Raiders as a complementary back to Jacobs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BAL - RB Devonta Freeman added to practice squad]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent RB Devonta Freeman was signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad Thursday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [BAL - Le'Veon Bell to be elevated?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Even before Gus Edwards' injury, there was talk Ravens RB Le'Veon Bell could be elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the team's Week 1 game Monday, Sept. 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy GMs are interested to see what Bell can do with his new team. Bell might not yet do much as he's learning the system. And Bell hasn't been good in quite some time. But it does appear he'll have an opportunity in the wake of the Edwards injury. [WAS - WR Curtis Samuel still sidelined]( Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala Washington Football Team WR Curtis Samuel (groin) remained out of practice Thursday, Sept. 9, working on the side instead doing band exercises with a trainer. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is a bad sign for Samuel's availability in Week 1. He missed all of training camp and the preseason with the idea that he would be ready for the start of the regular season. A tweak to his groin injury this week while warming up has now put his status in doubt. If Samuel misses Week 1, Washington can turn to Adam Humphries and Dyami Brown as options outside of WR Terry McLaurin and TE Logan Thomas. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [CLE - WR Odell Beckham Jr. ramping up]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) is continuing to increase his workload in practices, offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said Thursday, Sept. 9, and the team will see 'where he is at' at the end of the week regarding his status for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns have had a plan from bringing Beckham back, and it seems like he's on track. With a huge matchup against the Chiefs in Week 1, Beckham is worth starting as a WR3/flex play. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [NYG - WR Kenny Golladay limited again](=) Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone New York Giants WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team is limiting Golladay as he comes back from this hamstring injury. We'll see if he can get a full practice in on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NYG - TE Kyle Rudolph listed as limited](=) Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone New York Giants TE Kyle Rudolph (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rudolph is set to be the starter for the Giants in Week 1 with Evan Engram likely missing the season opener. Against a Broncos defense that is historically weak against tight ends, Rudolph is a TE2 or streaming option for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NYG - Still no practice for TE Evan Engram](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Giants TE Evan Engram (calf) remained out of practice Thursday, Sept. 9. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'd be shocked if Engram plays against the Broncos in Week 1. That means the Giants will turn to Kyle Rudolph as their starting tight end. Kaden Smith should get some work as well. The Broncos struggle against tight ends, so Rudolph may get some fantasy points - maybe even a touchdown - this Sunday...but Fantasy GMs need to look at him as a streaming option or TE2.
