Michel should at least take the edge off of Henderson's upside, if not force a committee. Henderson is not worth taking at his ADP now and the air has gone out of the Xavier Jones/Jake Funk injury upside balloon. [DEN - QB Teddy Bridgewater wins starting job]( Source: DenverBroncos.com Denver Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater was named the starting quarterback over Drew Lock by head coach Vic Fangio on Wednesday, Aug. 25, for Week 1 against the New York Giants. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We should have seen this all along. Bridgewater is seen as the "safer" option by Fangio, and that's part of the reason why the decision was made. Fangio is on the hot seat and will lose his job if he doesn't win early and get to the playoffs. Bridgewater isn't a fantasy option as the Broncos will run, run, run as much as possible. By naming Bridgewater the starter, Fantasy GMs should be bumping up WR Jerry Jeudy in their projections/rankings. Bridgewater and Jeudy have great chemistry and we could see a breakout from Jeudy in 2021..even on a run-heavy team. He's a superstar and this offense is among the best in the league if Prescott is out there slinging passes. Prescott is on track to start Week 1. He's got the experience as a starter and Hill is more of a gadget quarterback no matter how much the Saints want him to be more. If/when Winston is named the starter, we'd imagine the team still uses Hill in a manner they did when Drew Brees was the main man. It was only a matter of time before the Jaguars chose him over Gardner Minshew. Lawrence will have struggles as he learns the ropes in the NFL. However, the upside and talent is there for him to be a bye week or injury fill in if you are in a deeper league. With the injury history of Engram, we could see Rudolph get plenty of playing time. If Engram is healthy, Rudolph may get onto the field when the team is near pay dirt because of his proven nose for the end zone. The initial plan seemed like it was going to be holding him out until the start of the regular season. He's coming back from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 11 last year. This groin injury is seen as minor but monitor this due to the large role Williams could have in their passing game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Steelers want to see if Haskins can get his career on track as a reserve this year. The former first-round pick for Washington got a fresh start in Pittsburgh, and they could use a young quarterback to develop behind Ben Roethlisberger. They do have Mason Rudolph to take over if/when Roethlisberger is banged up, but Haskins might be a better long-term option. We'll see what he looks like with the start all to himself on Friday.
