The Jaguars waived Tim Tebow Monday. The handwringing and concern over Tebow trying to earn a spot in camp was fascinating. In my view, this worked as it should. He gave it his best shot and the process worked. But it had me thinking a bit more. One piece of advice I always give to folks: Don't be afraid to fail. Will people mock you if you do fail? Sure. Just like they're mocking Tebow now. Ignore it. Baseball players who "failed" 65% of their at-bats are in the Hall of Fame. Take your shots. Ok. Let's get to the football stuff. Waller missed two weeks of practice with this ankle injury but it's not a huge concern. He's back at practice now and set to be a top-3 fantasy tight end in 2021. [PIT - Chase Claypool injured in practice Tuesday]( Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams Pittsburgh Steelers WR Chase Claypool (lower body) suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury near the end of practice Tuesday, Aug. 17, according to multiple sources. Claypool did not put any weight on his injured leg as two teammates helped him directly to the training room following the injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The immediate report from Mike Garafolo is the injury is not significant. Garafolo wrote: "WR Chase Claypool did not suffer a significant injury in practice today, sources say. Major sigh of relief for Pittsburgh. Jones (undisclosed) and WR Josh Imatorbhebhe (undisclosed) were waived/injured. DT Daniel Ross (undisclosed) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. His lackluster form and effort as a blocker went viral in the Jaguars first preseason game, and the team decided enough was enough. [HOU - QB Deshaun Watson healthy]() Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson didn't practice Tuesday, Aug. 17, but head coach David Culley said Watson isn't injured. 'Deshaun is here,' Culley said. 'Again, every day he's here, he comes in, and he works. He does what we ask him to do and he's here every day and he's doing fine.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There was a phantom (ankle) injury attached to Watson earlier in camp. He's healthy but everyone is in this weird Twilight Zone with the veteran quarterback. The team doesn't want him to practice and get hurt, while Watson doesn't want to be there, while at the same time a legal investigation is going on (including a league investigation). The Eagles have Miles Sanders as their starter and didn't need Johnson behind him due to guys like rookie Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and Jordan Howard. [PHI - RB Jordan Howard carving out role](=) Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia - Reuben Frank Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard is a 'genuine candidate' to make the roster as the No. 4 running back because of his ability to pass protect, according to Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Howard's role is well known from his time with the Eagles from earlier in his career. He's a power back who can live between the tackles, is sound in pass protection but not the type of guy you want to target a bunch out of the backfield. Howard could make the team, but Fantasy GMs don't need to monitor him unless injuries strike above Howard on the depth chart. [SEA - S Jamal Adams agrees to large deal](=) Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Seattle Seahawks S Jamal Adams agreed to a four-year, $70 million deal Tuesday, Aug. 17. The deal makes him the highest-paid safety in the league and includes $38 million guaranteed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams is one of the best safeties in the game, and he can be moved all over the formation. Last year, Adams played around 400 snaps at linebacker while also getting plenty of work as a safety. The playmaker was not participating in practice in a "soft holdout" while he waited for this deal to get done.
